Casino Royale

I just went to watch Casino Royale yesterday with a big big bunch of people. ^_^

Casino Royale

Everyone was planning to use their free ticket because the newspaper didn't put a star on Casino Royale. Mana tahu when we reached there, we saw a star on the paper sticking on the counter mirror. Ended up, we had to pay. Boo... but at least it's only 7 bucks and not 9! ^.^

Daniel Craig - James Bond

That's Daniel Craig, our 007. I love his eyes! They're blue! Wuahaha! I like it whenever they pan into his face and I get to see the blue eyes. ;p

The movie is ok la. The ending a bit tergantung like that... but still ok la. Halfway in the movie, Michelle and I suddenly got this urge to annoy and kick each other... which we did... but we didn't annoy each other and annoy the one sitting in front of me instead! We must had ter-kicked her chair a lot of times... oops? *sorry to the stranger in front!*

Er... I'm not good at reviewing stuff so... I don't review la... later all the wrong stuffs come out. ;p

Oo.. a lot of people went to watch movie yesterday! Met Esme and Deborah... Eli, Joanna and Ginny... Jessica those people... and there was my gang... Michelle, Francoise, Joanna, Kimberly, Maryann, Adeline and me. Tambah everything.... so besar the group! ;p

The whole cinema is decorated with Possessed posters... even the lift also filled with Possessed posters... gonna freak out big time if I ter-stuck in the lift!

I miss camp so

I miss band camp. I didn't know I miss it until yesterday, when I was mopping the floor, memories of camp suddenly flooded my mind. I remembered my first night of duty (cleaning the library), Stephanie Yeo had taught me how to spin and slam down the mop to create a... er... round, fan-like, bigger surface of the mop... yea... and unconsciously while mopping the floor, I did that... and I just remembered about camp. Then I just started smiling to myself and for once, enjoyed mopping the floor at home. I think my mum saw me smiling to myself... must have thought I was crazy... ;p

Oh well, I've been spending a lot of time in front of the computer lately. Too much time for my own good actually. What do I do online? I also don't know... been reading most of the time... people's blogs... my past blogs... speaking of my past blogs, I've added two new links here under For Friends. One is a Multiply one... I created that last year, abandoned it, went back again middle of this year and abandoned it again for blogspot and decided to go back it again a few days ago. Lol. So I'll keep both updated. ^.^ But the Multiply one is only for friends... so if you wanna read, have to add me there la... The other one is Friendster one... I created that last year and decided to abandon it forever... hahaha!

It's actually surprising to see much I have changed from last year till now. I read my Friendster blog and I was like... *dumbfounded* Is that me? I read and read.... and I realise I complained a lot! I complain about exams... which I don't really care about this year... I complain about money issues... ok, that didn't change much! But last year was a bit too... terlampau complain laa.... And I actually complained about band! *horror!*.... I complained of having to pay 3 bucks for Teachers' Day and that time Emily them were like... if pay late have to pay double! So I was saying... band so mata duitan! LOL! That post really got me.... I THOUGHT THAT???!!!! *sweat!* But I've learnt to love band... so maybe love blinded my eyes! Hahahahahahahhaha!!! *siaw*

I've been spending my time to download songs too. Don't really bother about msn anymore. I used to spend hours online chatting but now I spend hours reading and downloading and searching for songs and lyrics. Maybe that's something that changed too! Ahaha... come to think of it, I don't really chat with anyone anymore. Some of those I used to have a lot to chat with suddenly ran out of topic and some of those whom I never have anything to talk about with.... have lots to talk about... huh... wonder which party changed. ^_^ Anyways, I miss chatting with Esme! Lol! I wonder why!

Simple Plan have nice songs! Ahaha... I love My Christmas List! Gets me into my holidays mood! I now so badly want an mp3 player.... or perhaps a handphone with mp3 player... whichever lah! I wanna download them all into it and listen to the songs while I'm away from the computer. But I think it's still a long way before I can get my hands on those gadgets... *sobs* Anyone willing to buy me for my birthday next year? Pwetty pleaseeeee.... guess not... Explensive arrr... *sobs*

Oh my friendster broke record. For once I have 100++ views in my profile. 129 at the moment... huh... never reached that high.... I've seen people with 100++ and 200++ views and more but I never thought I'll actually reach it... surprise!

I miss camp so. Oh and the song... the Fade one... is Heart of Worship - the very first verse! I know that song! I like that song! But I only knew the chorus part then... so wasted my 1 point! :(

STS Band Camp 2006

STS BAND CAMP '06

Well... here it is! I've finally stolen enough photos to write this post (thanks to Esme and Deb!). ^_^

WARNING: THIS IS MY LONGEST POST EVER

The flower blooms above all else!

Camp was on the 20th of November, the same day as the school's Majlis Kecemerlangan. So it was kinda tiring attending camp after performing and having our butts glued to the chair through long, boring speeches one whole morning. That's the con of every performances - we can't leave until the whole function is over. We can't talk, we can't lean, we can't play, we can't sleep.... x.x"

***********************************
Day 1

Camp started that afternoon at 2.30 p.m. A bunch of us played Tai Ti first la... We were still very bersemangat then. I found out that apparently our drum major is "Tu Shen" #1. Wahahaha!! After that, we got our stuff sorted out in the library and went to play ice breaking in the Music Room. ^_^

Explaining the game.... Nabila! Must jaga and sayang her ar!

The game's called Guess Who? It's like two groups each sends a representative (both groups separated by a curtain), then when the curtain is lowered the representatives have to shout the name of whoever is on the other side lah (as shown in the picture below).

ET had a Rainbow Connection

But I was like so kantoi. I lost once so the second time I represented my team, I was like, "ok! must win!". Then when the curtain was lowered, both of us pointed at each other - so prepared to shout already - but we went speechless. We didn't know each other's name!!! Ngaiti... everyone was crowding us, trying to give us a hint (but too bad cannot la) but we were just laughing like mad there. After so many rounds, this was the first time this problem occurred. It turned out her name is Michelle. Then Michelle (my best friend, not her) was like, "MY NAME AR!! WAT LA YOU!!" and Esme was like, "Your best friend's name also you don't know... haiyo!". What can I say? Oops? Ahaha.... rest assured I remember her name damn well after that! She was in the same group as me. ;p (btw, after the two of us kantoi-ed, a whole bunch of others also kantoi... bad omen from us? =p)

After the ice breaking was supposed to be music practice but Mr Reggie decided we should go learn marching instead.

First, put your hand like this and go oooomm.....

Since it's been long since we last marched, we went back to the basics again - getting the perfect line.

Marilyn: Mr Reggie! Your line not straight!

Yeaps. After that, we learnt more about the right flank, left flank, right oblique, left oblique, rear march, etc and succeeded in making simple formations. Yay!

If you cannot do properly, you must knock your head

But it didn't take us long to get exhausted. As mentioned, we woke up early for performance and had to endure long, winding speeches the whole morning. So by 5 something, we were literally dehydrated and hungry (dinner's at 6) and cold (it was raining then).

Losing all hope... kill-me-now

Above is a picture painting how tired we were. Ahahaha... Actually it wasn't that bad la. That photo did us no justice. ;p Anyway, after marching, we had our dinner and some rest. The rest was inevitably cut short for me though because I waited so very the long for my turn to take bath in the toilet. =.=|| By the time I was done, it was time to get back to the Music Room to watch some films. The band there damn satt ok! There was this trombonist playing his trombone while cycling on a unicycle. Well... they were doing something like a show la. Can see all the players running around with their instrument. Very cool! The percussionists also! *imagine Esme beaming*

After the film showing, we played a game called Strategize to Energize. We get to eat in that game! Yay! The game goes like... each team was given a cup of biscuits crumbs then there would be questions given la... then we had to answer the questions and whichever team get correct get to eat a biscuit crumb from any one of the other teams and whichever team that has the most crumbs at the end of the game wins.

Esme: Yue lai xiang.....

The questions were all very very wide ranged. From band stuff to music theory to movies to My Chemical Romance to football to history to geography to politics. The history was Form 4 history. =.=" Manalah us juniors know...... tembak!

All the mangsa-mangsa banjir grouped in balai raya

The game was in a way about smart planning. But my group definitely didn't do much of that. Jacinta (who was hungry) was like, "That group got big big crumbs! Go eat that group!". Wahahahaha!

Angel in white to the rescue!

But it's actually kinda funny how other groups always forgot my group (which is good la!). Some more I think my group should be the most noticeable one because Joanna was making so much commotion! They only remembered when the facilitators had to announce the amount of biscuit crumbs left in each group. So when they found out my group had the most, all would swarmed together and attacked us. -.-" But not long after that, forgot us again. :D

Ma'am.... give me your crumbs! I don't care!

Just for your information, the biscuit crumbs were supposed to be chocolates. But unfortunately, the chocolates got eaten by ants. *stupid ants!* So no choice lor. But when the crumbs ran out, they served Pringles - to everyone's delight.

Feed the hungry children of the world!

But since it was already the last few questions, very few people got the privilege to eat the Pringles. Except for Joanna. Coz my faci see her so cute, gave her eat the Pringles after the game! *hmpf! no fair!! din ajak me!* :(

Make a hungry child happy - have you done your part?

Anyways, after the game, people were starting to get tired and sleepy. So Deborah had to wake us up with her dance moves.

Hamsap lo alert!

Her dance moves were so random and hilarious!

Felicia: Excuse you!? Deb: Ampun...

Err... maybe a bit too random and hilarious that Felicia gave her that look!

We want Deborah! We want Deborah!

But even after the dance, it still wasn't quite the time to call it a night. Most groups had duties to do. My group had to clean the library. Mopped the floor and such. Then, Jacinta and I were asked to mop the teacher's lounge also. You should see how we mopped! Even the teachers laughed! =p

And finally it was lights out..... but as Mr Reggie said - Lights out, mouths open! Very true! Mouths opened to talk and eat. Wahseh.... Five of us - Me, Stephanie Yeo, Jacinta, Natalie and Kher Ching (I think) - took the best space between two shelves and behind some sofas aka our fortress. So we were well protected from the committees. Hehehe.... *naughty naughty* And Natalie can really eat at night!!! Oh and I "stole" Stephanie's pillow for one night simply because my pillow was too flat. I then fell asleep with it so she had to sleep through the night pillowless! Oops!!

***********************************
Day 2

*some people actually woke up at 3 a.m just to take bath! siao ar! so early and cold go take bath!*

Then the next day, we woke up to do some jazzercise. After that, we were asked to name our group. My group probably had the most symbolic name of all - Anonymous. Hahaha! How did we get that? We were all so braindead at that moment. We initially wanted Spongebob (coz Jacinta's phone kept ringing in the night and her ringtone is spongebob). But I'd already been in a group named Spongebob so it wouldn't be special anymore. So we settled with Anonymous basically as a last resort. But I am really happy and proud of it lar... coz it's unique! So simple yet so symbolic! ;p So when Felicity told us we might be asked why we chose the name, we just went "We know exactly why!".

After that, we had to play some acting game. My group's question:

The band is flying to Bangkok. On the way, the plane got hijacked.

It was kinda messy because we couldn't think of just one plot. Too many brains working at the same time in a limited time length. =p My group was the only group which acted that morning because there wasn't enough time (giving other groups more time lah). But I think even if we were given more time, we also couldn't have come up with something better. So as to say what we did was our very best already. =D

Hijackers in action: Michelle and Natalie

Because we didn't really talked about what each person should do... some of us were blur. So when the "hijackers" shot... no one did anything.... :S (very brave band members! hahaha!) and Jacinta was like... *poking Joanna* "Joanna you die liao Joanna!". Then Joanna terus... "Ek..." * slumps and sticks tongue out*. So cute lah!

The death of a hungry child is inevitable... may she r.i.p

I told ya she's cute! But it was hard to explain the scene after that coz no one panicked! =.=" Plane kenak hijacked also don't panic! *sweat!* My explanation: Everyone too excited about going to Bangkok, they paid no attention to the hijackers. Reasonable enough?

After that, we did some more marching drills. We learnt the right swing, the left swing and wheeling. The practice took really long so breakfast was late and I was starving. So I ate two boxes of food. Wakakak... I wasn't the only ok! Lots of others ate two too! Some still cooked themselves mee cup for extra!

After breakfast was sectionals all the way. Got a new piece - Band Overture. It sounds really cool and most sections got challenging parts. Not me lah. My part is... just like that. Guess I should be thankful for getting a part I'm familiar with... otherwise, I'd probably take a long time to master my part. *slow learner* ^_^

Anyways, after lunch, we were asked to paint our group's flag!

Wahh... so pink!

That's my best friend's group. And most definitely not my group because (quote Felicia) the sky will fall and the pigs will fly before we'll ever be placed in the same group.... unless we are in charge. ^.^ I knew she would choose pink!! If it weren't pink, it would be colourful... as in rainbow colour. Wahaha!!

Look! An eagle!

And that's my ex-mummy's group. Lol. Once upon a time, we played this family game and Elizabeth was my mummy. ^.^

Musim menuai bendera

But while painting, my group accidentally wet our flag because we were all in chaos. Mentang-mentanglah my group all the while no planning wan! *oops.. kantoi* So while other groups were already drying their flags, my group was still painting.

All hail the fan! We offer you this flag...

But it was ok because after Jacinta and I had sketched out our flag's design, everyone co-operated nicely. :) Simply because everyone knew what to do liao, instead of panicking and tembaking and wetting the miserable piece of cloth. Ahahahaha.....

Three ants with big hands

My group got extra 5 minutes because we wet our flag so we managed to finish just in time! Luckily our flag was simple so it dried quite fast!

Who are we? We don't know!

And we were done! ^_^ It turned out quite nice considering the rush! My whole group actually got obsessed with the flag! Hahaha... owh well, it is our hard work + effort + co-operation after all! It is only right that we love it and be obsessed with it!!

But after that.... ehehe... free body art for everyone!

Descendants from the Red Indian Tribe

After the flag painting and body conteng-ing, we went for somemore sectionals. Before, we were broken into two groups (different from the flag whatsoever one) to perform two short pieces under Kher Lee and Esme respectively. I was initially in Esme's group but got tarik-ed to Kher Lee's one because the only two basses were both in Esme's group. Lol! So much jodoh! ;p So I went with Kher Lee to practise You'll Be In My Heart in the canteen. We got the privilege to witness something though.... *Esme's group was playing Rainbow Connection*

After some more practices, we went for our tea break and later, the highlight of the whole camp - Outdoor Games!

Chiong aarrr!!

My group started with Kher Lee's game. In that game we had to send three pairs, one pair at a time. Then, the pair had to be blindfolded and had to search the padang (not the whole padang lah!) for as many crumpled newspapers, rubberbands and paper clips as possible in 5 minutes (per pair). I'm not sure about the bottles and sticks though.

Michelle *evil grin*: I'm gonna strip you, grass!

The newspapers was undoubtedly the easiest to get as it was the easiest to feel. As for the rubberbands and paper clips... er.... have to listen to Joanna lah... JUST PULL!! PULL!! JUST PULL THE GRASS UNTIL NAKED!!!!! Damn funny that girl! Everyone laughed and laughed like crazy! Kher Lee was laughing until she punched the grass and Jacinta and I laughed until we terpelanting and rolled on the grass! I think she screamed that out of desperation coz Kher Lee purposely looked for paper clips and placed them RIGHT IN FRONT of the pairs and not one pair could feel it. All we could feel was tanah lah ok! That's why we all just pulled the grass until naked. *kerja amal!*

After that, we went to Padang B (in St. Jude) to Priscilla's game. The first one was alright. We had to hop on one foot and carry a cup of water on a tray to a certain place. Most of us did barefooted to increase frictional force. Hehe... We were all rushing at that time so when Priscilla stopped to talk to someone, we made chaos. So Priscilla had to throw (she really throw!) her handphone to mark a place for us to set the cup. ;p But no worries, her handphone's Nokia and Nokia handphones are known for their tahan lasakness. ^_^

But our third task... was our worst task. We had to make simple formation. Well... I don't have a picture of that so I ganti with our marching practice one lah.

Human robots of tomorrow

The formation was so messy. Like the acting game, we couldn't think of just one formation. Argh! But luckily, everyone contributed ideas during the presentation in a last minute attempt to save our vegetable formation. Proud of everyone but not proud of the pattern. Haha...

We wasted so much time on the formation so we were very relieved when it was over. Everyone was in a weird mood during the formation so we were more than happy when we finally proceeded to our next task - Charade.

Desperate bandwives extorting

We were given three things to act out for our faci to guess. Our first was Tourist so we pretended to be sakai and take pictures of shrubs and big trees in the padang. Our second was A Bass Drum so we asked Joanna since it is her instrument. The first thing Felicity said was, "A bass drum player?". So we started frantically pointing at the imaginary drum in front of Joanna and crossing out Joanna. Then the next thing she said... "A big fat round bass drum player?". =.=!! Lol... But she got it right in the end. Our third one was A Hen. That was easy. ^.^

After the Charade was our Yun Nam Hair Treatment. Free trial of new product with new ingredients: Egg and flour. That's the latest fashion now ya know - a cake on our head.

Happy ah mahs lining up for free Yun Nam treatment

The game is simple. They would make a cake on our head, give us a bit of shampoo and some empty bottles (purposely leaked) and from there, we had to clean our hair. We had to find our own water though. Damn embarassing when Mr Reggie took pictures of us with our cake hair! Ahh! But the worst part was when Chrislynn dumped the egg white and egg yolk on us. Yuck!!! It was at that moment some of us regretted keeping long hair. But Sharon was so funny! She was like, "Luckily my hair is short! Muah! I love you, hair! Muah!" while Natalie and I were like, "WHY DID WE EVER KEEP LONG HAIR!". So total opposite!

Some extra protein for your hair, ma'am!

Since the bottles were purposely leaked, I, the water fetcher, had to put the bottles above my head when I ran back so as to not waste water. So sia soi ok!! But it didn't really matter then. At least I was doing something! Jacinta was helping people washing their hair and since I'm not much of a hair washing person, I fetched water lor. ^.^

After our hair treatment, many of us were really thirsty already. But we kept on going to Deborah's game. In her game, each member would be blindfolded, one at time, and would be lead by the others to a certain spot (determined by Deb) where we would have to blow out a ping pong ball off a cup filled with flour. Wah... band sure can bake lots of cakes with the abundance of flour!

Eli: Do you repent, my child?

The funniest thing when we lead the blind was when Deb those people interfered and confused the blind (the blind lead the blind). They were shouting, "Not in front! Got hole!" or "Go right! Go right!" when they're supposed to go left. But the rest of us went, "DON'T LISTEN!! GO LEFT!!" very the loud. XD This game is when all the marching commands come in useful. Hehehe....

After the game, we were kinda tired already and the sun was already starting to set. Our next game was still with Deb. But the game was different liao lah. In that game, we had to each pick a paper which contained a word and had to think of a song which has that word in it dan seterusnya sing the phrase. I couldn't think of mine. I got Fade. Deb said everyone couldn't think of Fade that day. Joanna was like, "A Christian song! Got wan!" Then I think and think and in the end I went, "I don't know! Who ask me don't go church often!" Can you think of a song? Think laaa.... answer given at the end of post if terbuntu. Hehe... So we lost 2 points there. The other was Heaven - Michelle couldn't think of that. We were willing to give up the two points because the day was really getting dark.

Our next station was with Valerie. In her game, we were forced to learn the art of washing. We had to wash two very dirty and muddy cloth. They looked so brown you won't believe their original colour is white until we washed them sparkling clean.

Thirsty children in Padang St. Teresa

The cloth washing was probably the easiest task among all the others. That and Charade.

Our next was the obstacle course. There were three obstacles. The first was the normal crawl under the ropes one. That was ok. Not very good if you're tall though. I had to glide. -.-"

You're alive! I love you, Joanna!

The picture above is not Jejak Kasih ok!! Lol!! *blushes* See the string between us? The motive was to carry every member over the string. As shown below. *apalar jejak kasih! lol!!*

First human rocket preparing to take off

But it wasn't so easy with Joanna. It took a lot of encouragement and team work to carry her over. But of course the happiest moment was when she got over. Everyone was so proud! Hmm... remind me of last year's IPR! Thanks to Jacinta for sacrificing her back for Joanna (and almost everyone else) to step on. ^_^ So when it was Jacinta's turn, Joanna was like, "I carry her over! Jacinta very light!". Then Jacinta was like, "Are you sure...?". And when Joanna carried her, she shouted, "Ok! I was wrong!!" *drops Jacinta*. Hahaha!! I wonder if Jacinta got back ache after that. =p

The third obstacle was just a trickier version of the first one. By then, the sky was dark and everyone was dehydrated. But we used that to encourage Joanna. A little trick we learnt last year in IPR. ;p "Joanna!! Chicken wing there Joanna!! Must go on!! Dinner here liao!! Nasi lemak!! Got many many water for you to drink!!" Wahaha.... very fun. Needless to say, we got even more dehydrated after that. =p

Desperate times call for desperate measures - there's your chicken wing!

After that, we proceeded to our very last station. The water balloon station. By then, the sky was completely dark and not many teams were seen already. Spotlights were on. Sorry no pictures on the water balloon one. But the game is like, two of us would carry a dustbin bag, one member would be blindfolded and given a balloon, and the rest of the members had to lead the blind to the dustbin people (hahaha!! it was me and Jacinta!). Then, the blind had to throw or drop their balloon into the dustbin bag. Jacinta and I had to stand like so far into the padang and we were barefooted (we move faster barefooted) and suddenly, Felicity raised the question "I wonder got frogs here or not?". Wat lah!! We were like imagining halfway while waiting for the blind to come, we would hear "kodok! kodok!". Lol!

Well, since water balloon was our last station and we were water balloon's last group, we get to play with the water balloons!! Jacinta and I popped water balloons on each other's head to rejuvenate ourselves. Hahaha! Water balloon fight!! Whoo!! Esme, Chrislynn, Priscilla, Serephina, even Felicia those people joined the fight! It was really fun!! We didn't used all the balloons though coz Esme was saving some for Deb to play. Aawww..... so sweet! After the game, we found someone pulling her pants away from her body while complaining that her underwear's wet! LOL!!

After the game, everyone was fighting for the toilet. We all had a special scent of mud + egg + flour + shampoo + sweat on our bodies. I tried to hug some people but they all don't want. What lar... it's not often we get to hug in stinky conditions ok! Somehow it seemed everyone was in a bad mood after the game. @.@? And I was the only one so hyper there wanna hug somebody. Haih....

We were really late for practice after that. Yes, even when we were all exhausted and aching, there was still practice. Mr Reggie wasn't too pleased but he did enjoy snapping pictures of us though!! I had to gobble down my food, chew my food in the Music Room and abandon my cleaning duties (with permission) to make it in time for practice. We didn't practise much with Mr Reggie though. He left us after a round of Band Overture to let us work on our little performance the following day.

Spot me kissing Herbie! Muakz!

So the Kher Lee group practised for our You'll Be In my Heart in the Band Room while the Esme group practised for their Rainbow Connection in the library. Not long later... Esme came running into the Band Room complaining of Kher Lee stealing her percussionists. Hahaha! Then Kher Lee was like, "I where got steal! They sendiri jalan to me wan ar!". The next Esme said was, "Then why you steal my sousaphone?". Lol! So funny their exchange of words!

After that was settled, Kher Lee tried to modify the piece to her Kher Lee style, meaning fun with gimmicks. So she bincang with us.... but with Joanna... only got one ending....

I lose to you Joanna!

Everyone laughed until they fell. Our gimmick? Hehe.... reveal later. =p

After that, the Kher Lee group left the Band Room to let the Esme group use. So the Kher Lee group were free after that to do their duties or whatsoever. So my group (Anonymous) went to wash the toilet and clean after dinner. I like washing toilet! Hahaha!! It's fun! I even brainwashed my juniors into thinking washing toilet is fun! Lol!

After our duties, my group was free. So we just sat around, stuffing ourselves with junks while waiting for the Esme group to finish practising. They practise really long. So I also went to jenguk the small cute juniors in the KH room. Wahseh... I think they play the Les Bouffons piece until too bored liao wanna play Flashdance. And I thought Esme was asking her group play Flashdance for what!

Anyway, that night I went to sleep in the Band Room with Lysandra and Michelle. And I slept on half of Michelle's pillow (no more Stephanie's soft pillow to steal!) the whole night. Ehehe.... Sure didn't have problem sleeping that night. Was so tired. I know Esme and Deborah came and disturbed Michelle and me when we fell asleep! Kantoi!!

***********************************
Day 3

Everyone woke up late. We were supposed to be up by 5.30 but we only woke up at 6. So when I brushed my teeth, I was like... "So late! Die!". Then when I wanted exit the toilet, Kher Lee came in, "Morning." with a toothbrush and toothpaste! Ahaha... no worries then! =D

After that, we did some jazzercise and marching review. Then, we headed down for breakfast and group phototaking.

After that was the Kher Lee group with the piece You'll Be In My Heart. The gimmick? Hehe... Joanna (supposed to be Kher Lee but she laughed too much until no more voice) screaming OO-EE-OO-EE-OO at the back. LOL. No wonder laugh until no voice!

AAhhhh...... oo-ee-oo-ee-ooooo!!!

Another trick was we speed up at some part in the song to make to song more lively. So lively even Kher Lee got excited and tip-toed. =p

Teacher! Pick me!!

And that's the Kher Lee group's percussionists. Wootz!

Kher Lee's troupe

After that was the Esme group's turn with their Rainbow Connection. That's the Esme aka cutest senior conducting.

Esme: *clap and jump*Yay! I get to conduct! Yippee!

I see Miss Tan! Lol! She was late for the presentation and made everyone waited! Priscilla called and was like, "Want to start lor! Faster! Run! Run!!". Wahaha!

After the presentation was a short slide show of the whole band camp with funny quote. That's where they write the Jejak Kasih one lah! ;p But I like this one....

WANTED: SERIAL KILLER!!

999! SERIAL KILLER WANNA KIDNAP JOANNA!

After the slide show, in which we laughed non-stop, the committees gave their last words about the STS Band Camp '06. It was their last camp and they were all sad. So it actually felt like AGM. Aww... some were really touching... some were hilarious. Oh well... what can I say? They'll have better camps after this. ^_^

After their speeches (which took a great length of time but was not boring), we proceeded to the gift giving. There were the top three best groups won by Devilish Angels, Play It Well,Loud,Proud and Silver Hawk!

Then there was also the prize for Best Camper, Best Leader and two extra - the Funniest Camper and I forgot. *bad memory* Guess they thought Joanna should be acknowledged for giving us laughters non-stop for three days! She's the Funniest Camper of Band Camp 2006! Whoooo! The Best Camper goes to.... Sharon Melissa Kon! Mua beloved junior! Congratz! Then the Best Leader goes to.... me.... *krik krik krik* :p

After the gift giving was the end of camp. *sob* Everyone packed up and left for their home sweet home, bringing with them some smelly clothes, some flour covered shirts, some mud covered pants, some unfinished junk food, some egg shell on their hair, a wide smile, a little bit of tears and tonnes of good memories.

One band, one family

Yeap. Camp had been a nice and memorable one. I think it turned out well for everyone. Even though not many favoured their groups when first announced, I think everyone fitted in nicely and co-operated in the best ways that cannot be done in any other order. A lot of inner selves were revealed in the camp, especially during the outdoor game. Some took charge, some got left out, some participated actively, some participated passively, yada yada yada.... These are inevitable. Sometimes, we do these stuff unconsciously. But it is good to know that amidst all, they remembered who was the leader and when the time is right, they listened.

Participants and committees of STS Band Camp '06

I won't change my group nor how the camp had turned out for anything in the world. I will carry with me the memories of this camp until the end of the road... unless I suffer from amnesia or alzheimer lah.... which by then.... no choice la... *CHOI!!* Touch wood! Touch wood!

You can just tell camp was fun by looking at the happy faces in the photos above. They were all candid shots, except for the group ones, so those teeth shown originated from pure joy. May all the camps I (and also the committees) attend be as fun, if not fun-ner. ^_^

I am the third to blog about Band Camp. First was Deb, then Esme. But mine is unique! Why? Because it's done from the eye of a participant and not a committee. Wahahaha!! Not to say it's the best though. For all I know, it could be the worst. (x_x") Mine is just different. ^_^

-THE END-

Oh wait... the answer the word Fade is... the Christian song *When the music fades....*

P/S: I just wanna say that I spent one whole morning and half an afternoon loading the pictures up and one whole day to write and another two hours to edit. In short, it took me two days to write this post.... ah... I feel better now. (^_^)
