Leaf Pile

Happy Halloween! Hope you are having a fun weekend! Today, I'm sharing a layout I created using Echo Park's The Story of Fall collection.  I love the oranges and greys of this line...definitely gives you the autumn feeling with the wood grain prints too!

I used these fun turquoise glitter Thickers from the Pink Paislee Cedar Lane collection!  I thought the blue would pop against the darker colors!

As well as patterned papers, I layered different pieces of the Ephemera  under my photo. I really love the tags!  I also added coordinating enamel dots, as well as some wooden veneer leaves and turquoise sequins from my stash!

I also cut two leaves from my Silhouette using a cut file from The Cut Shoppe to accent.

Thanks for stopping today! Check out the My Scraps and More Shop to get this and many other fall/Halloween collections! Have a wonderful day!

Let Your Light Shine

Happy Friday, friends!  Missy here.  Today I'm sharing a layout that I created a few weeks ago for a Throwback Thursday challenge.  The challenge was to use up some of your die cuts or ephemera pieces from past collections.  If you're like me, you have tons of Crate Paper pieces left over.  I paired some of those with some Heidi Swapp die cuts to create this layout.

I pulled from the Crate Paper Notes & Things and Open Book and Heidi Swapp September Skies.  I used a few pieces of the Color Magic which I added gelatos to.

I started with a white background and did some watercolor work with spray mists and a stencil.  I show exactly how I did this in my process video down below.  I tucked in lots of die cut flowers and other various pieces around the layout.

I love these flowers...this is a mix of regular die cuts, clear die cuts and the Color Magic ones.  The horse is from Crate paper, and I decide to use it because my daughter loves horses, and also because the color matches :)

I used some of the new Elle's Studio alpha stamps here as well as my own handwriting for the title.  I added some text tissue paper from my stash and some white tangled thread.

Here is a mix of Crate and Heidi.  I love how they look layered and stitched down together.  I used a sheet of black dotted Heidi Swapp paper to back the left and bottom edges of the layout.

I pulled a flair button from my stash and added a Heidi arrow here before adding my journaling and some black ink splatters.

Here's my process video if you'd like to check it out :)  I hope it inspires you in some way!

Thanks so much for stopping by....and have a great weekend!

We are half way through the week, WHOOP!

It's my day to post the Friday Free For All challenge over at MS&M.
This summery daughter and husband took a trip out to Philedelphia for a family wedding. They stopped at the Liberty Bell and Greg took this picture of Sierra.
I used Pink Paislee Atlas for this page:

I used Gesso on my background and added some watercolor and mist to the top to make my photo mat "Pop":

I love the soft colors in this collection.
I added some thread under the wood veneer typewriter along with some of the enamel shapes from the collection:

I added a scalloped circled colored with paint along with some mini alphas and Thickers:

I love the "pop" those yellow doilies make and check out the wood veneer "happy" pennant, too cute!

I added just a few paint drips:

Enjoy your day!

#12 at the Plate.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Tuesday!!!

I decided to use the Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers collection for a sports page of my son. I took lots of the blues and aquas from the line to work with the blue in his team uniform. I laid the grid paper over a sheet of cardstock to use that for my base.

Then I used two different blues to mist with. I used a chevron border punch for a focal point at the top of the page:

I used the negative punched chevrons and then added them on the layout further down to highlight my son up at the plate:

I love that collections can be used for sports pages, and since I scrap alot of sports, it makes it so much easier then to go out and purchase specific sport paper...

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Snuggle up

When I think of fall, I think of chilly days and getting cozy under all the blankets. I ran with this perfect feeling of fall in this weeks layout for Word Wednesday on the forum.
I usually work with mostly patterned paper for my backgrounds, but chose some basic cardstock for this page, really helping my fussy cut papers to stand out. Using an older Crate Paper patterned paper; explore , I cut a strip and large frame for the center of my page.
Using a mix of Cocoa Vanilla embellishments, Wooden words by Evalicious, and puffy glitter stickers in the Cedar Lane collection, I sprinkled my embellishments among my page in various cluster spots.
Using a vellum, I hand cut some circles , painting some black lines around them to make them stand out!
I fussy cut some flowers from the Pink Paislee paper, adding them amongst my circles.
Finishing off my page, I used the puffy glitter stickers and Heidi Swapp stickers for my date, along with my trusty sequins and tiny spots for movement on this page!! Even in small amount, I am still IN LOVE with the Cedar Lane collection, which you can find HERE in the store!! My Fav collection this season!!

Hello Lovely

Hello friends! It's Saturday and that means I'm here to share another layout I created using one of the great new lines from the MSAM shop!  Today's page features Basic Grey's B-Side collection which is full of fun bright colors and patterns!  When I saw B-Side, I instantly thought of my 12 year old daughter!

I used the solid black on the B Side of "So Anyway" for my tile and a cut file from The Cut Shoppe.  The black really pops out against the bright colors!

I inserted pieces of ephemera from B-side as well as flair from my stash to accent my photo. I also layered many different patterns from the collection under my photo.

I love the bright colors of "Detour" as well as the diagonal print so I used it as my background with another cut file from The Cut Shoppe.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Visit the MSAM shop for this and many more new collections! Have a wonderful day!

Fancy Free

Happy Weekend, everyone!  Missy back with you here.  Today I'm sharing the newest sketch over on the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog.  It's Sketch #116, and it was designed by the amazingly talented Jessy Christopher!  I'm a huge fan of her work, and I was so excited to work with her sketch.

I love the diagonal elements, and I decided to mimic the sketch pretty closely.  I shrunk everything down a little smaller.  I printed three small photos of my daughter dancing, spinning and playing around on the patio, just having herself a great time :)  I used the Dear Lizzy Documentary collection for this, and added some white gesso over the strips to tone them down a bit.  I did a bit of the packaging technique with gelatos and a few ink sprays to give color to the background.  The text part on the inside of the strips is tissue paper from Hazel and Ruby.

I fussy cut this flower from the floral patterned paper and layered it under the photos, which I popped up with pop dots.  I also added some leaf rub-ons here as well.  These colors together are so pretty!

I stitched through all the strips and then added a fun loopy loop die cut I've had laying around in my stash bin.  It's from The Cut Shoppe.

Here's another look at the strips and die cut.  I love how the black thread pops off these colors.

Finally, the title area combines a lot of elements.  I used my Cameo to cut "free" on white cardstock.  I used gelatos and my water brush to give it some color and then lightly traced the edges with a black pen.  "Fancy" is a rub-on, and the Party Animal is from the sticker sheet.  I added the red heart rub-on and then a few of the foam hearts, which are Thickers.

Make sure you check out the Sketch Blog and the My Scraps Store!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful weekend!

I Am...

Hey there!
Lisa here today to share a layout I created for the challenge yesterday over on the forum.
I used Imaginesce Give Thanks 6x6 pad for this layout of my daughter when she was younger:

                                                            Here are some close ups:

I used a mask, light modeling paste and watercolors to create my background.

I fussy cut the mason jar, journaling spot, "Hello fall", "happy harvest, and the "So thankful for you" banner:

The "you", arrows and hearts are Thickers from my stash:

Just another look at the background:

Thanks for sharing your day with us!

Student Of the Month.

Hello and good morning...

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today I am sharing a page with you using the Echo Park Teacher's Pet school collection. I will confess... I've kinda been a slacker lately at printing off new photos to scrap with, and I still haven't printed the newest back to school photos of the kids. But I really wanted to dive into scrappin with this line, but already scrapped all of last year's first and last day of school pics. I found this older photo of Sydney when she got the Student of the Month award. She was sooo excited to receive it.

I didn't want the layout to scream "school" but have some school themed accents, so I used the handwriting and paper clips papers for the background. I'm always a huge fan of the Elements Stickers with EP's lines, they work great for embellies.

I also used a mask with some misting to add a bit to the page and then added a second colors of splats:

In case you haven't looked at the latest My Scraps & More sketch blog, the latest SKETCH has been posted to play along with, so make sure to hop over there for a chance at the monthly randomly drawn prize to win too...

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

Hello lovely wonderful fall with Pebbles

Fall is in full speed here in the Northern parts of the USA. The air is crisp with the freshness of the impending winter. The leaves are a kaleidoscope of gorgeous autumn reds, oranges, and yellows. The stores are full of everything "pumpkin", and the countdown to winter has begun.
I created this layout for this past weeks "Trigger Tuesday" on the forum. The prompt was all about the over fulfilling senses that are created by this season. All the sights, smells, feelings that ARE fall are just what make this time a bit magical. I wanted to create a layout that truly FELT like fall to me. I used the new Harvest line by Pebbles. I used the Fall Time paper for my base to mimic the leaves of my photo, adding the coordinating woodgrain paper for deep contrast.

Using the wooden leaves that are sadly no longer in the shop, I dipped them in gold paint, and lined them up on the top of my page . I sprinkled some orange confetti amongst them to really draw your attention to just how beautiful these embellishments are. To add more fun, I took some glittery twine and twirled it across my page.

I created my title with a mix of word stickers and diecuts from Studio Calico, Cocoa Vanilla, and Evalicious; using the puffy stickers.
I just love how this screams fall to my soul, making me more greatful of our recent move back to the northern parts of the USA.
