For the last time ...
Good evening! This is my last post as a design team member on the blog :(. It has been a wonderful term on the design team - Tammi is so generous, the team is so supportive, and My Scraps and More is just wonderful!
I will be heading back to teach my classroom of two year olds next week so my life is about to get busy! But it is only two days a week so I will have time for my room mom responsibilities, my scrapping for others and volunteering at church.
I wanted to show you the last two cards I made with the Echo Park Birthday Boy Mini Theme Kit. I wanted to increase the amount of boy birthday cards in my stash and had a fun time making cards with a combination of scraps of paper left over from layouts, the journaling
cards, and stickers in the kit.
Thank you again Tammi and My Scraps and More for a wonderful time as a designer!

Back to School
I need someone to tell me what happened to summer! Every year it just seems to go faster and faster. My kids started back on Monday. It is so weird having all 3 of them in school now. It's been 11 years since I haven't had at least one of them with me. Jacob is now in 6th grade (middle school), Austin is in 2nd, and my baby Autumn has headed off to Kindergarten.
I'm big on teacher gifts. I want them to know how much they are appreciated for all the time they spend with our little ones. With the number of teachers I have for 3 kids through the years that can get quite pricey so I like to make things for them. For back to school I sent my two little ones with these teacher survival boxes.
I hope these will be useful as well as bring them a little laughter when they see the stress relief ball and container of Tylenol. I used Authentique's Lively collection. The beautiful patterns on the double sided paper worked perfectly for use on these clear boxes as the patterns show through when the box is open.
I thought it was strange that both of the little ones had teachers that began with a G. It made it pretty easy for doing their initial on the boxes. Then I tied it up with a bow and made a tag with a quote that I thought was perfect for an elementary teacher.
"It takes a big heart to shape little minds".
I hope this has inspired you to all the different possibilities that can be done with our scrappy supplies.

Double The Fun
Happy Friday to everyone! We have meet the teacher this morning at Amory's school and both girls head back to school on Monday. Up until about 10 pm last night I was excited the girls would be returning to school but now I am a bit sad. I think I will miss them!
What is needed her is a bright cheerful layout to brighten the spirits! My Scraps and More Design Team was sent the Echo Park Mini Theme Kits to play with this month. I chose the Birthday Boy Kit because I really liked the bright primary colors. It was perfect for this layout of playground pictures at Amory's birthday party.

Gift Time
Being a scrapper really helps a lot when it comes to gift time. I don't make a lot of gifts for people but I do like to use my scrappy supplies to be able to make some things a little extra special. My nephew just turned 16, and as many of you know once they hit a certain age the thing they are most happy to get as a gift is money. I didn't want to just give him money for this milestone of a birthday so I decided I'd make it a little more fun. Here is what I came up with.
I used a Kleenex box and covered it in white paper then used Authentique's Celebrate line and pictures of my nephew with his brothers and cousins to make a photo box for him. I taped each end of the bills together so as he pulls the tag the money will come out one bill at a time.

Sweet Fun!
Hello and happy Wednesday!
Lisa here to share a layout using the Fancy Pants Time For Spring Collection. This collection has lots of fun patterns and some of my favorite colors! And I love the fun banner paper and decided to use that as my background:
The picture is of my daughter, Sierra. She took the pic herself and edited it, I absolutely love what she did with it and the colors were perfect for the Time For Spring Collection.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with us!

Are you ready for some football?!
I enjoyed playing with the Echo Park Boys mini kit so much last week that I thought this week I would share a LO from the Football mini kit! This is a LO I did of DS and a friend at Baylor Youth Day. Now that he is a junior we are starting to look at colleges and Baylor is on his list. This is just one of 4 pages I was able to make with the kit - such a great value!
It's almost time so make sure you get some pics when they turn on those Friday night lights!

Echo Park Dearest DT Reveal
How can you go wrong with blue, pink, and yellow? The colors of spring and warmth, calm and sweetness.
For this month's reveal, I got to work with Echo Park's Dearest line. If you take a look at the line, it is catered toward Mother's but, I opted to go a different route and used it to make some layouts of my sweet little girls.
For this first one, I opted to decorate a few shipping tags...one with a punched scallop circle and butterfly, the next with my trusty Fiskars Threading Water punch, and the last with just a block of that beautiful floral paper. Add in a couple of the Dearest stickers that come with the papers, a bit of stitching, and voila....
As you can tell, this line doesn't have to be about 'Mother Dearest'!

For this second layout, I punched out a few more of the scallop circles. I added a few more of the stickers from the kit, and then added a ribbon top using a thin strip of paper and my Fiskar's ribbon border punch. So easy!
On this last one, I went simple. a single block of that gorgeous floral paper -- by far my favorite paper of this line. I added in a couple of small paper blocks, some twine and then machine stitched lines for my journaling. Then of course, I had to add in a couple of butterflies!
As you can tell, this line doesn't have to be about 'Mother Dearest'!

Echo Park Birthday Boy
Each of the designers was sent an Echo Park Mini Theme to play with this month. There are twenty to choose from - everything from an All Star theme to a Tools theme and everything in between!
I chose the Birthday Boy Collection Kit. I have no boys of my own so why you may ask! I liked the bright primary colors, the ability to make some boy birthday cards (which I have very few of), and truly the papers can be used for more than just birthdays!
Which is what I used the paper for for this first layout about the spitting frog at a water park we visited. Priscilla thought it would be a fun picture if she posed kissing it. All I could think of was the germs on it! OOOH gross!
Frog Prince
For this layout I used the papers for its original purpose - for a birthday boy! In this case the birthday boy was my dad. We could not find a candle to put in his cupcake so my brother found a candle app! Although Dad could not figure out where to touch or blow on the screen to blow out the candle.
There's an APP for that!

Go check out the the Echo Park Mini Themes! They truly make it so easy to scrap!
Thank you for stopping by!

Grand Slam
If you would have asked me about 6 years ago what my thoughts were on baseball I probably would have said I don't really care for it. Well it was 6 years ago my oldest started playing t-ball and each year I have become more and more baseball crazed. I now have 2 boys playing and never miss their games, and we finally made it to our first Rangers game this year. When Tammi gave us the chance to work with one of Echo Parks mini kits I knew it had to be the Grand Slam kit.
These first two are from the Rangers game. It was an end of the season treat for my sons Rangers machine pitch team to go see the real Rangers play, and they pulled out a win for a great game.
Now you have probably noticed some pops of red and blue in many of these pages. The Grand slam kit does contain some red but I decided to also pick up the Echo Park 4th of July mini kit. Our school colors are red, white, and blue and my oldest has been the Cardinals with these colors for 3 years now. Fourth of July papers work really well for baseball pages. So I've combined the 2 mini kits for all of my pages. These next 2 pages are from my oldest sons team. They won their district tournament and were able to play in the state tournament. It was such a wonderful experience for all involved.

Boys Collection - Girls Allowed!
I was very excited to hear that we were getting to play with the new mini kits from Echo Park - and even more excited to get the Boys Collection! Of course with 4 boys of my own - it is what I scrap the most and I loved the colors in this paper! But I think my favorite thing about these kits is the value - I got 4 LOs and a project made with the kit and still have enough scraps left to make several cards. They are a great bargain and what's best - I came, I played, I used the whole kit and I won't be hoarding a ton of extra pieces that I may or may not go back and use. Here are a couple of the LOs I created!
Of course we can't leave out the girls! When I was little I hated pink - blue was my favorite color! So in honor of all the little girls who are not in to "girly colors" and scrappy moms who want something different for their cutey pies - I made this LO. These colors were a perfect match for my bluebonnet pics (or for just about any outdoor photo!)
And last but not least I wanted to share a small project with you. I used some of my scraps to create this dry erase To-Do list for my frig using a magnetic acrylic frame - perfect for leaving notes for the boys!
Make sure and check out all the Mini Kits available in the My Scraps and More store - there is something for everyone! Have a great week!

Pride and Joy
I had SOOOOOO much fun playing with the Echo Park "Pride and Joy" mini kit! I used it to make some pages about my grandson
Garrett when he was born. He'll be TWO next month already!
I also took advantage of the AWESOME Got Talent II Challenges to create my pages so you'll be seeing them posted in the challenge section too!
Everything on this page is from the Echo Park “Pride and Joy” mini kit except the white cardstock (Bazzill), ink (CTMH) and pen (Sakura Gel Roll).
My DD had emptied the tub but Garrett wouldn’t get out because he wanted to keep playing. LOL! I painted my chipboard circles and covered them with Crystal Lacquer. I also got creative with my title letters. The E was a B, the Y was an X and both of the Os were Qs! I also had duplicate pictures so I took one and cut it into a smaller circle then popped it directly over the other picture.
This is the first picture taken of my SIL and his first child (Garrett). Isn't it SWEET?!
Echo Park's Pride and Joy Mini Kit - Patterned Papers, Stickers, Die Cut; Kreaxions (Circle Cutter, Punch), CTMH (Ink), Recollections (Brad) and Bazzill (Cardstock)

Color Swatches
Have you tried the new Sherwin-Williams letschipit.com website? It is really for matching paints to colors to a photo or ad but I have been finding it quite useful in my scrapbooking.
You can take a picture of something you like....say....this amazing porch.
and download it into the website to get the colors as shown....like this...
Now that I have an awesome color scheme, I can put it to work in my scrapbooking! How awesome is that??
In fact, I decided to do this in reverse for today's daily challenge at My Scraps and More....I created a layout, ran it through Letschipit.com, and created a color scheme for you to follow. Want to play along? Here is my layout and the color scheme for you to follow:
So cool, and totally usable for more than your home decorating needs!!
