Snowy Birthday Wishes

1-1-11.....Hello Everyone, I hope you are having a fabulous NEW YEAR! Here's a card using the super cute Warm Winter Wishes stamp set by Flourishes. I really enjoy using these stamps, first, the snowman is AAAAAAdorable, next, the sentiments are terrific for all winter long, and last, the snowflakes of varying shapes and sizes make awesome backgrounds!

I used a Kraft cardstock base, and stamped snowflakes in white and navy ink creating a background. Then I stamped the snowman onto a white Spellbinders oval die cut and colored it with Copic markers, then layered with a navy oval die cut. Last, I cut a thin strip of navy cardstock to stamp the birthday sentiment on, and then cut the corners on each side to resemble ribbon. I placed a blue candy dot on each end of the "ribbon."

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

Happy Fall

Here's another card I made using the super cool Sunflowers stamp set from Flourishes. I really LOVE these stamps, the sunflowers are so fun to color and decorate.
I wanted to go for a really rustic, fall feel on this card, so I used the PTI woodgrain impression plate on my card base after stamping and coloring the images. The images were stamped in Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. I used distress stickles in the flower centers. The large flower is popped up on dimensionals.
The sentiment is from PTI Friendship Jar Fall Fillers and is cut using the Friendship Jar Label die. I tied a few rows of Chocolate bakers twine around the top of the card to finish it off.
Don't forget to join us later this week on the Paper Maniac blog. We are having a HUGE BIRTHDAY Celebration with lots of blog candy and prizes throughout the whole weekend. Stop by the blog today and become a follower so you don't miss a thing!!

You are my Sunshine

Happy Saturday Paper Maniacs!!
Have you been enjoying all the awesome ideas and inspiring projects on the PaperManiac BLOG this week? I know that I have been enjoying them all. Stop by to check out the projects, and, while you are there, be sure to become a follower. We are having a HUGE, and I mean HUGE 1st birthday celebration starting on the 10th!! You won't want to miss this party! :-)
Here's a card made with the new Flourishes Sunflowers stamps! Oh how I adore these huge sunflower stamps!! They are so much fun to color.
This is really a C-A-S card, one layer-stamped right onto the base. I used a small patch of Core'dinations Cosmo Cricket basics for the grass. I sanded the embossed area and that seemed to give this piece some nice details. I tied some vanilla stitched ribbon around the bottom and cut tiny grass strips across the top. I then scrunched them in different directions to give it a more realistic feel. The sunflowers are colored with Copics and I used Sassafrass buttons on the centers. The sentiment also comes from the Sunflower stamp set.
Hope you all have a very safe holiday weekend!!

Gerbera Daisies for a Friend

It's Monday, friends, and I have another fun card to share with you. This was super simple to make- I basically just stamped the images from the Flourishes- Gerbera Daisy set right onto the Kraft card base and colored them in with copics. I added some PTI Harvest Gold ribbon across the top to finish the card. One of the things I love most about Gerbera Daisies is that they are soooo bright and cheerful and come in such a variety of colors. So, on this card, I made a variety of different bright colored flowers.

If you have been playing along with the SplitcoastStampers DTGD 10 challenges, this card was made for the Winged Things challenge and for the Color on Color challenge. These challenges are so much fun, and I am so happy that I have been able to grab some time to participate this year!!

Hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You, Raspberries

Happy Saturday my Paper Maniac Friends!! Today, I am sharing a card with the new Flourishes stamps- Berry Sweet. Have you seen the new release yet?? Ohhhh, it is soooo awesome.

It's a fairly simple card, just a basic cream base, and then I used Spellbinders Labels 10 dies for the image layers. I stamped the raspberry image in memento ink and colored it with copic markers. Then, over the raspberries, I used Glossy accents so the berries looked even fresher! (I have added a close up of the berries, below) I sponged Memento Summer Sky ink all over the image layer to resemble blue sky in the background. The ribbon is yellow double stitched.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great weekend!!

{Supplies}
Stamps: Flourishes- Berry Sweet.
Papers: Neenah Cream Cardstock, Bazzil Olive Green.
Ink: Memento.
Accessories: Yellow double stitched ribbon, Spellbinders Labels 10 dies, glossy accents, copics- YG93,97, RV17, 19.

Felty Flower Friendship Card

I am having so much fun playing along with the DTGD10 (Dare to Get Dirty 2010) Challenges over on SplitcoastStampers. This one was for Kittie's challenge, called Lost and Found.

Her challenge to us was: Find something that may be lost, old or that may even appear unusable and think of the creative possibilies for a fun project to share with us.

My lost, old, unusable item is the FELT that I found, which was lost in my craft room (forgot I even had it), which I thought I wouldnt really be able to use....until....I found Papertrey Ink dies. These dies will cut right through, just about anything. I made these felty flowers using the beautiful blooms dies. LOVE them!! The flowers are threaded together with Papertrey rustic jute twine and topped with a vintage button. The sentiment is from the Flourishes stamp set, Gerbera Daisy, and is stamped onto a Fillable Frames 4 die cut. The frame around the die cut is from PTI Fillable Frames 4.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Merry Go Round

I have been playing with some of the new FLOURISHES releases. Their last release is soooooo awesome, and Paper Maniac carries them all.

This adorable merry-go-round image is from the "Enjoy the Ride" stamp set.

I made this card for the DTGD10 (Dare to Get Dirty 2010) challenges. Jeanne gave us an awesome challenge to use the colors Red, Yellow, Green and any neutrals on our card. So, I paired this awesome stamp image with some Papertrey Pure Poppy, Chartreuse and Vintage Cream. I sponged Dandelion memento ink around the Spellbinders Labels 9 die cut frame.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you have a FABULOUS day!!

The Claddagh

I am super excited to share this card with you today. St. Patricks Day is right around the corner and our theme at Paper Maniac this week is Everything Irish! The stamps for this card come from the AWESOME new kit from Flourishes, called Irish Blessings.
I remember, as a child, my grandmother (who is from Ireland), teaching me about the Claddagh symbol on this card. She showed me her ring and taught me that the Claddagh incorporates love, loyalty and friendship. Since that time, I have always been in awe of what this symbol represents, as these three powerful "ingriedients" are the core to any family.
Supplies: Stamps: Flourishes- Irish Blessings. Papers: PTI White. Little Yellow Bicycle- Lucky Me. Ink: Memento. Accessories: Lace Ribbon, Nesties- Circles, Copics. Inspired by: MOJO125.
Have a wonderfully happy day!!
