Happy New Year

Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone is well! Let me just say I promise this card looks so much better in person.  I just couldn't get the lighting right, oh well. So, I really wanted to create a card with a clock. I looked and looked through my handbooks and just couldn't find on that suited me. So I decided to use clipart.  I just printed this clock on kraft paper and then cut it out with a circle punch. Hope you like it!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to make sure I posted this before Thanksgiving.  I created this card for all of the awesome Thanksgiving challenges. All of the paper is from a fall recollection pack and the ribbon is from Micheals, and that Peachy Face is PK-754 Critter Faces SET A Medium
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Trick or Treat - Skeleton

Hi Everyone!

Hope your weekend was great! We had a B-day party and my Mom was here so not too much time to create but I did manage to finish this card that I started last week.  I still have about 3 more projects to finish. My little one started flag football and will have practice Tue & Thurs. My oldest will begin winter ball so my weeks are filling up. I will return to work Oct. 21st so I'm trying to create and then I can schedule posts when I can't find time to craft.
I created this card for two challenges this week. My Craft Spot - Too cute to Spook & Paper Cutz Challenge - Shake, Rattle, & Roll - A Cricut cut image of a skeleton or skull & crossbones, BUT make it CUTE and NOT SPOOKY!

So here is my card! I distressed the edges by lightly wetting the cardstock (just the edges) and then running my scissors along the edge. I then inked the edges with Tim Holtz vintage photo ink. Lastly I add stickles to the sign and some of the images on the background paper.

You're a Star

Hi Everyone!

Wow, so many great challenges this week.  I really wanted to play in the two "Sew" challenges because I love machine stitching on my projects. Card Cupids - Stitching real or faux & My Craft Spot - Sew much Fun. I also saw the challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge - Wish upon a star and really wanted to make a star shaped card! Then I saw the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut ~ Use the color yellow and thought Blue and yellow is the perfect combo for my idea. So I used simply charmed for the star shape and sweet treats for the scallop border (its a layer for one of the cakes). My intention was to make this card for one of my son's friend but I just couldn't help myself with the ribbon and glitter.  So I'll save it for a girl. Well, hope you all have a great day! Enjoy!

Carrot Box and Bunny!

Hi Everyone!

I have been trying to come up with an idea for gift bags/boxes for Easter, and then I saw a great idea on the Chic n Scratch website. Well I did not have any of the products or machines needed so I went to my gypsy and created my own petal cone box. It was pretty easy! You need the George Cart and that's about it. You can look at the shape of hers and see that it is merely a triangle and circle welded together (kind of like an ice cream cone).  Next I cut a bunny from the doodlecharms cart, but first I welded the bunny ears to the egg shape. The rest of the shapes(circles and ovals) were from the George Cart. too. I added some stickles to the ears and feet, PKS for the face, yellow ribbon around the bunny ear and paper crimped the whiskers and carrot top. Lastly, I added a scalloped circle to the top of the box and wrapped it with twine to hold tightly. I plan to enter a few challenges with my carrot box. Hope you enjoy!
Challenges:
Creative Sisters Monday Challenge - Make something with a  bunny.
Cricut Cardz Challenge - Create something for Easter.
Jens Craft Corner - Make anything that fits with the bunny theme.
Creative Cutter Room - Make something using the 4 elements of the blog hop.
Paper Cutz Challenge - Make a card, LO or craft project using a hand stamped, digital stamped or Cricut cut image of a bunny, lamb, chick or Easter eggs.

Happy Birthday - Day 4 Masculine Card

Hi Everyone,

Here is Day 4 of Masculine Cards.  I think this one is my favorite, and as a HUGE bonus I'm so excited I can enter it in 2 challenges. I love it when it works out that way!  I just love banners!  I especially love the banners on Birthday Bash, but that cart. is on my (very long) wish list.  So I was looking through all of my carts and found something I could use on the sports mania cartridge.  I thinks it worked out great.  Again, this is a super simple card. The sentiment is printed from my computer. I am entering this in:
FROSTED DESIGN - Banners
PAPER CUTZ - Any theme, any color
Hope you enjoy!

St. Patricks Day - Good Luck

Hi Everyone!

I still have not been able to get my room back together. (Almost) I did want to put a card together for some challenges.  I decided I would get my "SEW" on. I used a very old cart, Stamping for the clover and PKS for the cute little face (I still can't get enough of PKS). This little lucky clover will be entered in:
CRAFTING WITH CRISTINA - St. Patty's Day Theme - you must use green
PAPER CUTZ - St. Patricks Day using any color you would like
PEACHY KEEN STAMPS FACE IT FRIDAY - Sew super cute, projects with real or faux stitching, and use PKS faces.
Have a great day!

Enjoy the Journey

Hi Everyone!

Today is just a GORGEOUS day. Still chilly but the sun is shining! My youngest has baseball pictures today and then we are going to breakfast! It should be a fabulous day!
After viewing all of your blogs and seeing so many AWESOME projects one thing I've learned is that there are SOOO many challenges.  I have come across two new ones that I would like to enter.
PAPER CUTZ - Challenge #80 Make a project for spring using any colors.
FROSTED DESIGNS - Use metal on your project

I made this card using the kite from the Create a Critter cartridge and I just love how it came out. I layered the kite and added pop dots in between the layers.  I added the metal piece "enjoy the journey" and some fibers. I also clear embossed the kite string. Super simple, just the way I like it! I hope you all have a great day!
