Ring in the New Year Blog Hop

Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to the Ring in the New Year Blog Hop created by the SUPER sweet Jill from Everyday is an Occasion.  Thanks for having me Jill!
If you popped over for a visit then you’re in luck we are celebrating the New Year with a hop! If you would like to join you can begin at Holly’s over at Ribbon's and Glue.
If you have been following along you should have come from Holly's at Ribbon's and Glue.
The idea behind this blog hop is to use something "new". My sweet Hubby purchased some goodies for me from My Creative Time and I was so excited to use them.  I come from a HUGE Italian family and every Holiday revolves around the BEST Italian food, except one J New Years Day. My Aunt who happens to be Japanese cooks up a New Years feast of Sushi, mochi, seaweed and so many other items. So I thought I would bring a little gift for all of us to use.
I wanted something simple since I needed 30.

I used MCT curly label & stitched die & stamp from the MCT small talk set.

I also made some fun cards for the gifts using the MCT small talk set

The Martini cut is from the Jubilee Cricut Cartridge & the silver glitter was in my stocking - thanks Santa :)

In honor of the New Year and a fun Hop I would like to giveaway a $15.00 Micheals Gift card so you can purchase a little something new:) Just leave a comment and be a follower of my blog :)

2012 Fall 02 Michaels Gift Card, large

I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop you should be on your way to Kelsie Ann from Cut Craft Create. Have fun and here is the line up just in case you get lost

Recycled Project

Hi Everyone!
I have a fun project to share today. I saw a few blogs challenging us to recycle. So I thought...OK sounds FUN!
First I grabbed something to recycle hmmm... got it, a peanut can that was ALMOST empty. My hubby got the rest in a snack bag for the day :)
So next I decided what I wanted to use the can for hmmm....craft room, kitchen, got it... the garage. Sounds weird I know but we come into our house through our garage so we (try to) hang our keys on hooks before we walk in but it's so full of spare keys and keys that aren't used everyday and just becomes a mess. So I made this cute little container to put on a shelf to hold all of the spare keys. Now I just need to hang the shelf :)
The paper is from Core'dinations & Colorbok

The little house cut is from the Jubilee Cricut Cartridge. I welded them together using my gypsy

The flower is from the Storybook Cricut Cartridge largest flower starting at 2.85 & smallest at .85
Other items:
White Gel Pen – Sakura
Twine - Twinery
Challenges:

Have a GREAT day, thanks for stopping by:)

Open if you dare.... Pirate Card

Hi Everyone!

Hope all is well! I have been working on a bunch of designs for cards and home decor that I hope to share over the next week.  But while looking through my gypsy I found an invitation that I never shared I think because it wasn't the one we picked & I never actually put it together. But nonetheless I decided to actually cut it out and put it together for a couple of the challenges this week. Crazy About Cricut - Thankful Thursday Pirate theme & Fantabulous Cricut - It's a Pirate's life. I used my gypsy to weld all the letters (Jubilee) & Skull (Indie Art) to a rectangle (George). I changed the mouth on both the skulls to look a little nicer :).  After seeing it I think I can use it for a b-day card too.
Hope you enjoy!

A close up of the welded letters.
Card - 5.5 x 6.5
Paper - Recollections, PP is old, unsure of the brand.
Cartridges - Indie Art, George, Jubilee
White Gel Pen - Sakura

Baseball Thank you

Hi Everyone!

Here is a card I made for my brother in law!  My youngest is just crazy about collecting baseball cards. His uncle gave him all of his cards from when he was a kid, and my son was on cloud nine! We made this last week when BBTB was having their challenge and I forgot to post it.  I just looked and it is still open. Bitten by the bug 2  - Baseball from Life's a party. You don't have to have this cartridge to play along, any baseball from any cartridge will work. You still have some time to enter it closes 8/30/11.
Card - 5.5"x 4.25"
Cartridges - Jubilee, Sports Mania
Paper - Recollections
Gypsy - Welded the words together and then to the ball
Ribbon - Celebrate it

Martini Anyone? More than Favors Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Here is a card that I created for the Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge at More than favors.  The cartridge this week is Nifty Fifties. I don't have that cartridge so I used the Jubilee cartridge for the Martini glass.  I used George for the shape on the inside of the glass, and I cut my own shadow. The paper is from a pack that I found at Big lots. Hope you enjoy!

Thank you looking!
