Love

Donna's February challenge from docrafts.com  forum was love. This  time I went from 12x12 page using some of my wedding photos, some very old papers and my current shabby style:

and some close up:

The papers are Fancy Pants, dies; cage and alpha, tickets, tissue tape, inks, distress tool are all by Tim Holtz, doily is Cherry Lynn die, red flowers are Prima, white flowers are my own made using mulberry paper and Spellbinder dies, gems and pearls are by Peprmania, ribbon and  twine are by Kaisercraft, key is  Karen Foster. I also used some Prima flowers packaging  underneath the red paper. I run it through crimper to make it as corrugated card. I usually put packaging into my recycling bin. but I think the Prima one is made to be used on projects.

Have a nice day and thanks for your visit.

I Found My Mojo

Hello from the worst blogger ever. But I have some good news, even I am still looking for a job and that is my main occupation at the moment, I am having a urge to scrapbook as well, hooray!!!
I found lots pages I started last year and left unfinished, now I am getting there is finishing them off. I am also doing clearance of my old papers. So two pages  sharing with you today are made out of scraps of an old Fancy Pants paper collection. Of course, Prima flowers, Webster Pages, Sizzix, spellbinders, Gesso, Hero Arts stamp, Kaisercraft mask, inks and so on helped those pages to look up to date. So here they are:

 Close up:

The second page:

Flowers, raisin and bling are Prima, a part from the pink roses that I did myself:

Photos of my two little darlings, I already scrapped those photos and I will probably do it again ;-)
Thank you for reading my post. Have a nice day.

Happy New Year and Thanks Helen!!!

Hi everybody,

I know I haven't blogged for while and there are many things I would like to share with you, but first of all I would like to wish everybody very best for 2013.

Now I would like to say big 'Thanks You' to Helen from Scrap A Little for this

fabulous giveaway she sent me just before the Christmas. Scrap-A-Little is an awesome blog full of fantastic tutorials, sketches and inspiration and I would recommend it everybody to visit.

There were far too many things happening in my life recently that prevented me from crafting and blogging even from reading all my favorite bloggs.  I hope I will be more regular in 2013 - this is not really resolution it is only hope :-) ! I also hope I will make some decent design for my blog.

Right now I managed to find a page that I made probably last summer and never post it before, there it is now:

My DD2 dancing dressed up as a fairy. 2012 was a year of my messy crafting phase and this page is probably the most extreme of them all. I nearly destroyed it by using two opposite colours inks, but gesso came in rescuing. I made all flowers myself, big letters are sizzix dies and small stickers and scrap of patterned paper are form a Basic Grey collection. Not my favorite page so far, but we cannot be always happy, can we?

This is all for now, have a nice day/night.

More Older Pages

Hi everybody

I still have more pages to share that were made probably few moths ago

First LO: My DD2 when she was only few moths old - maybe 2 or 3. As you can notice I am still using up my old Basic Grey papers and those hexagons are just perfect way for using up scraps of papers. Hexagons are cut using Sizzix die, Dylusin  stencils are used for the background together with various mists. Small flowers are Prima, the big flower is home grown using Graphic 45 button and some lace from the stash, ribbon is by Pink Paislee and some old stamps for the title.

The second LO: Photo of my DD2 on her 'big' bike, some old Fancy Pants papers, flower are home made,  butterflies are made using Hero Arts stamps and dies set, coloured  using  inktense pencils and put some gloss on top of it, doilies are Unity Stamps and matching spellbinder dies and punch is EK Success . I added some flocking powder on the  letter for more texture and some machine stitching.

This is all for now, wishing you all great day/night and enjoy whatever you do,

xx Svjetlana

Catching Up With My Pages

Hello from a very bad blogger.

I cannot really say reason why I did not post anything for so long, I suppose the time is just moving so fast around me, summer holiday, back to school, my work and now we are nearly in October.

I just finished with my contract and I am now back into hunting for another one or maybe even permanent job.

I did do some crafting, not very often but it has been long time  and I will try to catch up with and post them all eventually. Even I did not post anything for long time, I hardly participate in any forums, chats or similar, my stash somehow managed to grow and when I scraped I put an effort to combine some very old papers with new staff so that I use up some of old collections.

Here is my LO 1

Papers are Basic Grey, flowers Prima, punch EK success, stamp is Tim Holtz
LO 2, pretty much the same kind of stash as the first page, the photo of my DD1 when she went on skates again after braking her arm on them second time - my brave girl.

And one more, my DD2 after having her first hear cut. Used same BG papers as above, The Crafters Workshop stencil, MS punch, my own flowers, Prima swirls and ribbon is I think Pink Paislee I think.

Sorry I don't have any close-ups this is all for now.

Thanks for reading my blog

xx

Working Weekend

It has been so bad weather over here, but I was asked to work over the weekend so the weather made it easier for me.

While waiting to see if my work produced any acceptable results I thought  I will make another post here.

I am in a messy crafting phase, while my patterned papers piling up everywhere and taking over my house I have been playing with inks, paints, gesso and stamps. I feel I am so addicted to all Ranger products. Ok enough of bla, bla.. There is the page:

My DD1 when she was 6, on one proper summer day,

Used scraps of old paper, Webster pager ribbon,
dies - Tim Holtz, Sizzix and Cheery Lynn , Ranger grunge board - to cut title and the cage,
Border and corner punches - Martha Stuart, Mists and stamps - Dylusions
canvas - Ranger, gesso - Ranger, paints - Range, inks - Ranger and StazOn.

Background was plane white card once! And one close up:

Have a nice weekend

Page maps and me

Hi everybody

One quick post this time. Have you ever heard of Becky Fleck and her the Page Maps, Becky is a sketch designer and you can find huge sketch library on her website www.pagemaps.com and first day in month she brings out brand new set of sketches along with 'never seen' set of pages designed for her sketches.
You might think why I am writing all  this; I am doing it because she asked me to make a page for her July set. So this is a sketch I have been working with:

and this is my take on it:

As you can see I went into completely messy stile of carfting

For this page I use:
  1. some small scrap of Basic Grey paper
  2. Mists - Dylusions
  3.  Stamps - Dylusions, Unity, Waltzingmouse
  4. Flowers - Prima - yes I buy these sometimes (LOL)
  5. Buttons - Prima
  6. Charm - Bo Bunny - I think
  7. Dies - Tim Holtz
  8. Twine - Kaisercraft
  9. Canvas Ranger
  10. Gesso Renger
  11. Inks - Renger, StazOn
  12.  sawing machine
I would love to do some crafting now, but it is too late and tomorrow is another long and busy day at work. Have a nice day and enjoy in whatever you doing.
