My Gymboree Girl

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I love the clothes that Gymboree sells. I just love the styles they have. Someone sent me a link today to the new stuff that will be coming to the stores and online in the next week or so. (It's called Butterfly something or other - be on the lookout, it's really cute!) It was basically just a webpage with pictures of bunches of their new items. Well, Maryella happened to be sitting next to me when I opened up the page and she gasped and said, "Oh, look at that! Those is so pretty! Let's see, which one do I want?"

It would appear that a Gymboree addiction can be inherited! Uh oh!

And don't worry, I'll keep you posted on which items Maryella and I choose! heehee

Marmie and Granda visit

We had a wonderful weekend with my parents this past weekend. I love when they come to visit! Mama helped me clean out my fridge in preparation for little Elianna's arrival. My dad said it was silly because Elianna wouldn't care if the fridge was clean or not - but hey, I feel better about it! So after Jeff and I spent all day last Monday cleaning the rest of the house and now my fridge is cleaned out - I think we're just about ready for Ellie to get here! I think we're down to about 38 days until the due date or something like that now. One other thing to get done is that we are having some work done in our guest bath to repair some things after we had lots of plumbing work a couple weeks ago. Hopefully that will get done before baby time, but we shall see. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but not holding my breath!

Elianna's Nursery

I took a few pictures of Elianna's nursery this morning. Just a little over 7 weeks until she's due to arrive! It's exciting to have her room ready for her!

The Great Outdoors

We've had some absolutely gorgeous weather lately! That, combined with some plumbing issues that have kept plumbers in the house most of the week, has meant that we've spent tons of time outside. The girls have loved it! Kaylin and Annlee have especially enjoyed climbing the two crepe mertle trees in the front yard. We're enjoying the weather right now, because who knows if it's going to turn cold again or just keep getting warmer. This Florida weather has been keeping us guessing lately!

Happy New Year!

On our way back home, we stopped again in Montgomery to spend New Year's with my grandmother. It was a great way to end our trip and of course, was a good opportunity for more pictures!

Christmas in Alabama, Part 4, More pictures!

These pictures were just a few others that I took while we were in Alabama. They really didn't fit into a category, so they got a post all their own. Enjoy! (And this is the last of the Christmas pictures, I promise!)
We went to see The Tales of Despereaux with my parents. It was pretty cute. The girls enjoyed it. Maryella even sat still for the whole thing - amazing! I think that's a first for her at a movie!
And one night, me, Mama and Trista went to a place called Sips and Strokes. If you live up that way, you should go - it's so much fun! They take you step by step through how to paint a picture. We had a great time! I can't wait to visit this summer and do it again!

Christmas in Alabama, Part 3, Daddy's side

On Tuesday, we went to my dad's brother's house and had Christmas with his side of the family. His brother, Doug, and family used to live in South Carolina, but moved back to Alabama a few years ago and live just 15 or so minutes from my parents. The rest of his side of the family lives in Gardendale.
We were able to get a couple group pictures while we were there. The first one is of the kids who were there - just our girls and my cousins, Morgan and Nathan. They are my uncle's sons.
The second picture is a group shot of everyone who was there. My dad's stepdad is in the middle and my dad's sister, Linda, is also on the couch (the other man on the couch is my dad's brother). She has two kids who both have children of their own. They weren't able to be there - one has a new baby less than a week old. (None of my siblings were able to come either - they were back to work.)

Christmas in Alabama, Part 2, Lake House

On Saturday, we drove up to Lindsey and Chris' lake house. Actually, it's Chris' parent's lake house on Logan Martin Lake. They're staying there while they build a new house in Odenville, near Moody. We've seen the plans and the land that has been cleared - it's going to be beautiful! I can't wait until it's finished (supposed to be sometime in May or June). While we were there, they took us out on the boat. The girls loved helping drive and feeding the birds.

On Sunday, Max and Trista drove out and we opened gifts with everyone. The girls loved all their new things. They each got some really pretty clothes, toys, and new dress up clothes.

While we were there, Chris and Lindsey showed us how to play their Wii. That thing is so much fun! We've got to get one! In these pictures, everyone is attempting the hula hoop game.

Later, we took an opportunity to snap several pictures. I don't end up with many pictures of me, so I was glad my mom took the one of me and Maryella. I love the picture of the girls in front of Lindsey's tree. They got those outfits from Jeff and I for Christmas - I love Gymboree clothes - it's nice to dress them like little girls still. Anyone who has tried to dress a little girl who wears above a size 7 knows what I'm talking about! They make clothes so growny looking now. I tried finding a Christmas dress for Kaylin for next year while things were on sale and it was next to impossible! But I suppose that's a whole different post. The girls were just excited to have a picture of themselves in the clothes that matched Sophie, Lindsey and Chris' dog.

We were also able to get a pretty good family picture.

Christmas in Alabama, Part 1, Montgomery

We drove up to Alabama the day after Christmas and celebrated all week long. We stopped first at my grandmother, Ma-don's, house where my mom was also staying. We stayed with her one night. It was good to see Ma-don. The girls love going to her house! Here are some pictures from our stay with her.
