Annlee's First Day of 4 Yr Preschool!

Annlee LOVED school today. She went right in and played, gave me big hug when I left and never gave me a second thought. When I picked her up, she got in the car so excited about her day. I asked her what her favorite thing was and she said everything. Although she has talked about the monkey bars on the playground several times. I'm so glad she had a good day. She said she can't wait to go back tomorrow.

Annlee meets her teachers

Today Annlee went to meet her teachers at 4 yr pre k. She was excited to go, but wouldn't even look at her teachers. She's pretty shy. She loved playing with all the toys in the classroom. There were even a couple little girls she tried to play with, but unfortunately, they were good friends already and weren't too willing to let Annlee play with them. I'm sure she'll find others to play with though. (It made me sad for Annlee though.) I wanted a picture of her with her teachers, but she didn't think that was such a great idea. I took what I could get, though. She goes tomorrow for her first day and hopefully it will go smoothly.

Kaylin's First Day of School!

Today was Kaylin's big day. Her first day of 1st grade! She was so excited, she couldn't wait to get there. Usually we have to drag her out of bed if we need her to get up for something. But today she practically bounced out of bed when I went in to wake her up! She got to school and was so ready to go in her class that I didn't even get a goodbye hug. She couldn't wait to find out where her seat was.
Annlee came with me and she was a little sad that her playmate was leaving for the day, but we had a good time at home. She and I played games until Maryella woke up and then they played together with their baby dolls. After lunch, they helped me make cupcakes to surprise Kaylin when she came home.
Kaylin was all smailes when she hopped into the car this afternoon. She had such a great day and is so excited about 1st grade! The first thing she told me about was some kind of coupon that she found in her lunchable today and now she thinks she gets to go to some amusement park soon. Her favorite thing was jumping rope at recess. She also got to be line leader for a while today while they took a tour of the school.

Kaylin Meets Her Teacher

Kaylin and I went on Friday to meet her teacher for 1st grade! (I can't believe my big girl is going to 1st grade!!!!!) Her name is Mrs. Robinson and she was SO SWEET!!! We had requested her because we heard she "the" teacher to get and it seems like we were right. I'm really looking forward to a great year with her!
Kaylin is excited because she knows several kids in the class already. That sure makes it easier to walk in on the first day! Speaking of the first day - just one more day away! School starts Monday for her. Stay tuned for plenty of pictures from her first day of 1st grade! For now, here are a couple from Friday.

Florida Aquarium

We were in Tampa these past few days visiting Jeff's folks one more time before school starts. Once school gets going on Monday, we won't have much time for extra stuff like that. While we were there we went to the Florida Aquarium and had a really good time. The girls loved all the cool fish and other creatures we saw!

No More Diapers...

That's what I see in my near future! (At least until next March gets here, lol). We've been working with Maryella on potty training for a couple weeks now and she's gotten really good at it. She still has an accident here and there and she still wears diapers at nap time and bed time, but we are well on our way! Yay! So I just had to brag on my big girl for bit. She's so smart!

SURPRISE!

Here's the latest happenings at our house! Due March 5, 2009! We are very excited and can't wait! Yes, we will find out what we're having - probably sometime in October I would guess. But no, we aren't "hoping" for a boy. We will take either one and be thrilled! We certainly see advantages to having another girl and I can just picture a house full of girls in the future. But a boy would be a fun new experience too (as nervous as the prospect makes me!)
