End of the Year Party at the Park

Today, Kaylin's class had their end of the year party. They went to a nearby park, had hotdogs and cupcakes and played. There was no shade at all so it was incredibly hot, but they had a blast. It's so unbelievable to think that this year is almost over. I'm still not used to thinking of Kaylin as a kindergartener. Next year she'll be a first grader. I need time to stand still for just a few years!!! Why do they have to grow up so fast?

Here are a few pictures of her having a great time with some of her friends today. They all wore their tye dyed shirts again, too, so they looked really cute together!

Kindergarten Field Day

Kaylin was supposed to have a field day last Friday but it got rained out and rescheduled for yesterday (Tuesday). It was so much fun! They had all kinds of relay races and contests. Kaylin participated in quite a few of them. And of course, there was tug-o-war at the end. Kaylin's class has 14 boys and only 6 girls, so they had a bit of an advantage in that area and won. They were so excited!

Annlee's Last Day of School

Annlee had her last day of 3 yr pre k on Friday. I was kinda sad knowing that a whole school year has gone by and she's gotten that much older. It's hard to believe.
We took this picture as I dropped her off Friday morning. These teachers have been so wonderful and sweet!

A Cute Maryella Moment

Maryella came into the living room the other day dressed like this. I couldn't help but start laughing. I told her to stay right there and let me go get the camera. Thankfully, she did. She was really being a ham that day! This is pretty typical for Maryella lately, though. She's really getting into "pretend play". She loves dressing up - she even had to take a nap in one of her dress up outfits the other day (just a little dance leotard). She also loves playing with her baby dolls. It's rare that she is without a baby and a bottle. I will hear her walking around saying, "Don't cry, baby, don't cry". It's so sweet!

Kaylin's Kindergarten Awards Day

Today was Kaylin's Awards Day at kindergarten. Each class sang a song and we watched a slide show from their year in kindergarten. It was really cute. I was dissappointed that Kaylin was on the back row ... again. That's one disadvantage to being tall I suppose. Anyway, I got some cute pictures after the show in her classroom.
On stage doing the Chicken Dance (she's just below the "A" in Elementary).

With her friend, Carson

With friends, Asia and Jordan

With her teacher, Ms. Jennings

Dimples!

I just have to share this picture because it shows off both of Maryella's dimples! One is much deeper than the other, so it's hard to get a picture with both. Isn't she precious? I just love this silly sweet pea girl so much!

A Concert Starring Maryella

Maryella is not one to be outdone. When she saw Annlee singing on video, she wanted to be a part of the action as well. So here she is in her debute concert singing "Hello, How Are You" (a song Annlee learned at school), "Raindrops Are Falling on My Head" and "Rain, Rain Go Away."

Annlee's End of the Year Program

Annlee was so excited to go to school today for her end of the year program. They had been practicing a ton of songs to sing for us and they were all so good! All year long, they learn something called the "Florida Alphabet". It's an alphabet song and each letter has something about Florida to go along with it. It's so cute! The camera I use to take video to put on my blog doesn't work a lot of the time and wasn't cooperating today. I hope that later I can video Annlee singing a little of that song and share it with you.
The whole year is kind of beachy/Florida themed, that's why most are in beachy clothes today. Here are some pictures from the program.

This is a bowl full of chocolate shells I made for the party after the program. I was so excited with how they turned out.

Dress Up Time

The natives were getting a little restless the other day and I was trying to find something that would entertain them all while we waited on dinner time. I suggested that they dress up and do a fashion show for us and they thought that sounded like a great idea. Of course I took pictures and will share them with you!

I love Kaylin's "Miss America" wave in this picture

Apparently something was very funny!

Stimulating the Economy

Well, we've done our part to stimulate the economy! How do you like our new living room furniture? We needed a sleeper sofa in our "formal" living room as extra guest space and here's what we picked out. Ignore the carpet, we have plans to replace that with hardwood. The plan was actually to do the floors first, but we found this furniture on sale and it was too good a deal to pass up.

Tu-Tu Cute!

Here they are, the long awaited dance recital photos! Kaylin and Annlee looked SO pretty on Saturday all dressed up in their costumes. They were both very excited about the recital and they did so good! My parents, Jeff's parents and his sister all came for the occassion and the girls were excited about that as well. They got trophies and crowns from their teachers afterwards and we took a TON of pictures (does that surprise anyone?). So here they are - enjoy!

Kaylin's first dance, Raindrops Are Falling on My Head
Kaylin's second dance, Shake Your Booty

All I Want for Christmas...

3:16

I just wanted to recommend Max Lucado's book, 3:16, to everyone. I'm doing it in my Bible Study and it's been great. Just the book itself is fabulous, but there's also a study guide to go with it that's good too. My favorite part though is the 40 day devotional section in the back of the book. WOW! Those are some great devotions!

My smart girl!

I heard Maryella doing this the other day and was able to get it on video this morning. She's such a smartie, haha. Please excuse the mess and the overflowing garbage can. I was chasing her around to get the video and when she finally chose to cooperate, she wasn't in the cleaned up part of the house! ;o)

Annlee's First T-Ball Game

Today was Annlee's t-ball jamboree and she had so much fun playing! She got to hit twice and "score" both times. Of course, all the kids are allowed to score with each hit. But still, they have a good time. And since points don't count, neither team wins or loses, so it's all fun.
Annlee did catch the ball one time and was able to tag the pitcher's mound and then hand it back to umpire, so she was excited about that.

Here is Annlee's team running to catch the first ball that was hit. Annlee is right in the middle of the picture. She's got a pink and blue glove, if you can see that.
