Happy Birthdays!!!

I feel lucky to be able celebrate two birthdays on one day of two of the greatest people in my life. The tradition is breakfast in beds for the birthday boy or girl. We usually do it in our bed, but Sarah really wanted it in hers this year, so Greg was nice to do a breakfast on the floor. Greg's mom used to tell all about the day he was born and how she knew she had someone special in her stomach. I would have to agree. Greg is such a good person with a good heart. I am thankful for him and all he does for our family. Happy Birthday to Sarah and Greg!

Sarah wanted circle pancakes with square butter slices and syrup. I made it to order, but I don't think she ate more than a bite. I guess the presents were calling!

The kids remembered Greg's order from last year-lots of hugs and kisses and a bowl of Mini-Wheats. Delicious! It was the same again this year.
Sarah really wanted this quilting book..."we" made a new little bag that day.
Off to Disneyland. The Happiest Place on Earth. What a day!Sarah loves cotton candy and chose that as her treat for her birthday.
Sarah's favorite ride is "It's a Small World." It was our first ride. There were a bunch of new changes and it was really fun to see.
The Tarzan tree is always a hit.

Nathan rode "Screamin over California" for his first time with his friend Cole. We were happy see them right after Cole had gone-a little positive peer pressure is always a good thing. Don't be fooled by the look of near throwing up-he actually loved it and wanted to go again. When I saw this before they came off I got a little bit nervous that he didn't love it like I said he would. What a relief!
Winding down from a fun day!
A fun surprise from the Copples on our door when we got home! Yeah!I think it was a fun day. Sarah is still claiming the "birthday girl" bargain when it comes to getting what she wants. I guess we will let her enjoy it while she can. It is so fun to be a kid and have a birthday.

The Pre -Party's

The celebrations began early with family in Roseville. Sarah, Greg, and Talmage got to celebrate their birthdays with Nana! She made a yummy white cake and Sarah had a cute bunny cake. It was alot of fun! Sarah got to go shopping with Nana and she picked out a new puppy named "Abby". She has been taking good care of her ever since.

The cousins died easter eggs to ring in the Easter fun.Yet, another celebration on birthday eve with Jane, Rob and some friends.
It was fun to think about having friends over for cake the night before Greg's birthday five years ago...little did we know what surprise would come in the middle of the night. A new baby girl!

Jane and Rob came and it was so fun to have them here. They were at Nathan's first birthday when we first moved here to Los Angeles...wow has time flown by!
Playing with Lila. She has the cutest cheeks around...

Jane was one of the first to purchase one of Nathans great masterpieces-selling for only $5.00. What a great deal! Sarah also sold one to Jane. They have started a new hobby of creating and then selling their artwork. They still want to sell it on the corner at a lemonade stand. Quite the entrpeneurs. We did suggest a drop in the prices of the work. It might be better for buisness.

Sarah is FIVE! Has it really been five years?

Sarah was born five years ago...I cannot believe that my baby girl is FIVE! That just seems so grown up- yet she is still so little, and still my baby girl. She was born on the same day as Greg...we couldn't believe it. Her doctor had also been born on the same day as her father. I would say that is a pretty great birthday present. Sarah has been a joy since the day she was born. She loves to smile and laugh. She is so thoughtful and thinks of others-especially her brother Nathan. She loves to make up songs about, well-just about anything! She enjoys painting, dancing, singing, running, and playing at the park. She loves playing with polly pockets from her cousin Kate. I love this sweet little girl so much. I am so thankful to have her in our family. It would not be complete without her bright face and smile. She adds so much light and joy to our lives. We love you Sarah!

So curious. What are little girls made of?
Her protectors.
A good big brother.
Aunt Whitney saved the day and took care of Nathan while Sarah was born.

Grandma made it...with time to spare. She met the Gerber baby rep on the airplane. The Rep later sent us all sorts of fun stuff...
As soon as Sarah got home, Nathan went in to the room and shared this ball with her. It was really sweet.

Talmage is one! Lets Celebrate!

This is our sweet baby Talmage. I cannot believe a whole year has gone by. It was so fun to get ready for his birthday because I had Nathan and Sarah who were both so excited to make signs and decorations and yellow crowns for his hat! We even had a door decoration! The kids went all out. I think he had a really fun day. So, here is his party from what may have been his words...
Enough posing, lets party!

My mommy loves me!

Opening presents is the best. What is all this paper for? Where is the toy?

"What is this stuff that looks like baby food (frosting mishap) but tastes delicious?"

"Why does this food make people want to dance?"
"This is delicious...you should try it!"

"Maybe if I eat the plate I can get more of that yellow stuff..."
I sure am lucky to have friends close by!
I like friends my same size.
I think this box might be the coolest toy of all.
I love hanging out with dad and winding down from a sugar high!
My Nana called and sang Happy Birthday to me. I loved it! I couldn't get enough. I was so excited I even said "Hi" for my first time!
I had the best First Birthday Ever!
