So, these is basically how my APC's ended, before I switched to my Nudie Regular Ralf Dry Selvedge. Oh, I didn't tell you about them? WELL that was 3 years ago, this august.

What they could become

This website has a bunch of unwashed denim that haden't been washed for along time- just an example of what my jeans could look like. They're all really different so you never really know.

APC Rescue Jeans Selvege Shot

I paid $120.00 (my first [and most expensive] purchase of high end jeans at retail price) for these jeans. Many people would find this price exorbant, even going as far as to brag about how they got their Old Navy jeans on sale for $20.00. Some people may wonder, what is it that causes the 100 dollar price dispairty between our denim of choice. Aside for the fit, construction, durablilty, and styling of the two, today I am going to highlight one particular aspect; the denim

The Beginning

On April 28th at around 3 pm EST, I bought these gorgous A.P.C. Rescue Jeans at the A.P.C. store on 131 Mercer Street New York, New York. They are unwashed, indigo dyed japanese selvege jeans constructed in Macau.

This blog will be dedicated to the development of my jeans. With unwashed indigo denimn, everyday wear and tear will remove some of the indigo creating distressing. Many jean makes do this artifically, but since I am using unwashed denim, the marks on my jeans natual and where the should be (because I am making them myself). Also, not washing the jeans for extended periods of time maximizes the contrast of the abrasion created by every day wearing, so these babys will not see water for over six (6) months.

Size: They are marked size 29, but the actual waist measurement is 32
Fit: Tight (8 on a scale of 1-10, 5 being perfectly fitted)
Feel: Very smooth, but with bumps of unprocessed cotton in them
Color: Dark Indigo
Texture: Cardboard-like, moderatly uncomforatable
Abrasion: None
