Our TRIP to AZ and Vegas!!

This past week we went on a family VACATION! Just Me, Ryan and Ava. We went to Arizona to visit Ryan's Sister Amy and her family (Eric, Olivia and London) for a few days. Then we went to Las Vegas to PARTY . . . just kidding! It all started on Wednesday (Feb 20th) We hit the road about 3:30 in the afternoon and decided to drive straight threw to Arizona. We thought we would get there about 2 in the morning.... but with all the Snow, Fog, Deer, Rain and Ice we didn't get there until 4 am. Once we got to AZ our vacation began. We spent the first day outside in the Sun. We went on walks, played at the playground, jumped on the tramp and played with Ava's new Dora Soccer ball. It was so nice to be outside in the warm weather and then seeing Green Grass just put a smile on my face. The next day was kinda rainy so we used that day as our shopping day. We found a lot of goods that day! Probably too many, as Ryan says our depit card took a Beating. But it was way fun.

Saturday we went to the Phoenix Zoo, the Zoo was fun and very big. I guess we did all the normal Zoo stuff but there were some neat things we got to do and see. There were so many cool exhibits, like you could ride the camels, there was a tiger that was climbed a tree (note to self, when running from Tiger do not climb a tree to get away), they had a petting zoo and we rented peddle boats and went around the big pond (Ava threw a temper tantrum when we had to get off the boat she would not take off her life vest, very embarrassing). We just loved how big and wide open everything was. It was such a fun day.

We loved the HOT TUB! It was so nice getting in our swimming suits again! Ava is so funny about her "BATHING SUIT" she calls it her bathing suit because of Dora. Before we left on our trip she wanted to sleep in it, she would cuddle with it like it was her Blanket. But when its time to take her bathing suit off lets just say "all hell brakes loose!" If we let her she would wear it all day everyday.

Sunday we left for Las Vegas We stayed at the Rio. The reason we went to Vegas was cause Ryan had a conference, so me and Ava decided to go with him and make a vacation out of it. During the Day while Ryan was doing his work stuff me and Ava would hang out in our room, go on walks around our hotel and take naps.

On Monday night we went to the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. We walked around... went Shopping... went to FAO Schwarz... and ate at Cheesecake Factory. We walked everywhere that night our feet and legs hurt so bad!

We love the Water Show at Bellagio. Ava was so into it. Well, she was really into everything in Vegas all the big Hotels, all the lights and every time we went through the casino she would say "ME PLAY... ME DO IT" it was pretty funny. She was so confused why something like that was NOT for kids!

Tuesday Night we got tickets to Blue Man Group through Ryan's work, so me and Ryan went while Ava went over to my uncles Craig's house to play with him and his kids Jake and Lexi. We had no idea what blue man group was all about, the only thing we have every seen was them banging drums with paint so we were nervous. But it was really fun and entertaining. I don't even know how to explain it or describe anything about the show! It was just a lot of weird random things.

Wednesday Morning before we Checked out Ryan took Ava swimming. She was dying to go the whole time we were there but I wouldn't take her. The Pool was heated but it was only in the 60's so when you get out of the Pool you FREEZE! So I left the Swimming for Ryan.

We had such a Hard time coming home. We had so much fun with all the warm weather and being away from the snow it was AMAZING!

We miss you ARIZONA and LAS VEGAS!

Ava WoRKing!

The other day when i was getting out of the shower I yelled to Ava "What are you doing?" and she yelled back "I'm Working" when i came out of the bathroom i saw her sitting in Ryan's chair with his mouse and her laptop... I guess she is just trying to be like her dad!

SnOw Day! wELL... SnOw HOUR!

Our VaLenTinEs Day!

Well our Valentine's was...ok! I was SICK, Ryan worked all day, I was supposed to work but felt like crap so I didn't go. For Dinner we made Pizza's with Pita Bread. Usually they are really good, but i think cause i was Sick they weren't that great. Ava was so GROUCHY that night everything made her cry. So my great idea was to skip her nap so she would go to bed early... (note to self never skip naps or the beast inside your children will come out!) But she didn't even go to bed that early anyways, so plan was a BUST! Once Dinner was cleaned up and Ava was in bed then the real Party began.... Sitting on our couch with my box of Kleenex and MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND RYAN watching PRISON BREAK!

Finally PiGGy Tails

I am SO excited to finally put AVA's hair in Pig Tails!! Her hair has taken so long to GROW! But it still wont grow in the front at all! : (

a poem perfect for february

Today I read this talk by Elder Claudio R.M. Costa he spoke at this last General Conference. As I read this I really thought he was talking to me and Ryan. We have been married for about 3 and a half years and we have a 2 year old child so... lets just say we don't usually put our relationship as our #1 priority. And we should and ALWAYS should. So I hope that all of you take the time to read this and "Don't Leave for Tomorrow What You Can Do Today"

Don't Leave for Tomorrow What You Can Do Today

Elder Claudio R. M. Costa
Of the Presidency of the Seventy

"....I recently read a text which expresses the urgency of not leaving for tomorrow what you can do today. In July of this year Brazil witnessed the most devastating aircraft accident in its history. There were 199 people killed, including passengers, airline workers, crew members, and others who were at the site when the accident happened. The text I mentioned was said to have been posted on the airline communication board by the husband of one of the flight attendants who died in the accident. It is entitled "Tomorrow Never Comes" and is based upon a poem by Norma Cornett Marek.

If I knew this would be the last time I would watch you sleep,
I would hug you tighter. I would plead with the Lord to protect you.
If I knew this would be the last time I saw you walk out the door,
I would hug and kiss you and call you back to hug and kiss you one more time.

If I knew this would be the last time I would hear your voice in prayer,
I would record every gesture, every look, every smile, every one of your words,
So that I could listen to it later, day after day.

If I knew this would be the last time,
I would spend an extra minute or two to tell you, "I love you," instead of assuming you already knew it.

If I knew this would be our last time, our last moment,
I would be by your side, spending the day with you instead of thinking,
"Well, I'm sure other opportunities will come, so I can let this day go by."

Of course there will be a day to revise things,
And we would have a second chance to do things right.
Oh, of course there will be another day for us to say, "I love you."
And certainly there will be another chance to tell each other, "Can I help with anything?"
But in my case, there isn't one!
I don't have you here with me, and today is the last day we have—our farewell.
Therefore I would like to say how much I love you,
And I hope you never forget it.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old.
Today might be your last chance to hold tight to the hand of the one you love and show all you feel.

If you are waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?
Because if tomorrow never comes, you certainly will regret for the rest of your life

Not having spent some extra time for a smile, a conversation, a hug, a kiss,
Because you were too busy to give that person what ended up being their last wish.

Then hug tight today the one you love, your friends, your family, and whisper in their ears how much you love them and want them close to you.
Use your time to say,
"I'm sorry,"
"Please,"
"Forgive me,"
"Thank you,"
Or even,
"That was nothing,"
"It's all right,"

Because if tomorrow never comes, you will not have to regret today.
The past doesn't come back, and the future might not come!

I got TaGGed!

Here are the rules of this tagging thing...

A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names.

How long have you been together?
We have been together over 4 year. Our first date (if thats what you want to call it) was on Halloween Night in 2003.

Who said "I Love you" first?
Well, if you ask me it was Ryan, but if you ask him he will say Me.

Who is smarter?
I wish i could say Me... but I can't. He is definitely more school smart.

Who Pays the Bills?
He Pays some and I Pay some.

Who Cooks Dinner?
To tell you the truth... my mother. We eat at my families most nights. I really hate cooking for only 2 and in our crappy kitchen. If I had a good kitchen i would cook every night!

Who drives when you're in the car together?
Ryan drives... he thinks I am a bad driver. I don't agree with that, he may be better then me, but I am not bad driver.

Who is the most Stubborn?
I would say me. When i want something or want something done... it better happen or things may get ugly!

Okay, now 3 random things about me?

1: I LOVE
white cake donuts with white frosting and rainbow sprinkles!! If i could eat one everyday I would!

2: I am addicted
to all the reality TV shows like, Jon and Kate plus ei8ht, Life of Ryan, Rob and BIG, Making the Band, The Hills, Laguna Beach, Run's House, Real World, Keeping up with the Kardashians, Newport Harber, Real World/Road Rules Challenges, Hogan Knows Best, Kimora, Trading Spaces, Tori and Dean: Inn Love and Flip that House. I know I'm a Loser.

3: I am way OCD
. I have to have everything CLEAN. If everything is not put away and in it's "Home" then I can't sit down and relax. I really just follow Ava around and pick up after her... well really every.

I Tag...
Alysen so she will keep posting on her Blog, Megan cause she just found my Blog, and Jaryn Cause I want to know more about her and Dylan.

My Painting Project

So my Mom was going through all her stuff in her house trying to De-junk anything she could. One of the items was this Storage thing... I didn't really like the color to much so I decided to paint it PINK for Ava's room ( who am i kidding Ava's WALL she doesn't have her own room she sleeps in our room... but don't get me started on that one. ) So it took me about a week to finish. I had to do 4 coats of PINK to cover all the brown, then i had to sand it, stain and put a finish on it. But I think it turned out pretty cute. What else can I paint?

McDonald's

Every Saturday at 12 o'clock my Great Grandma on my Dad's side takes everyone to McDonald's for lunch... but we never make it, usually on Saturday's at that time we are just eating breakfast and still in our PJ's. But today Ryan went Skiing so me and Ava decided to get ourselves up and ready so we could join everyone at McDonald's. I had to take pictures of Ava's first trip to the McDonald's play ground. A bath is much needed after playing in there.
