My Girls wearing Fox Den BOWS!
Thank you Miss Shannon for helping us with bows for this Easter dress combination. We realize it was hard to match the colors exactly but we really appreciate that you made so many terrific colors! We love our bows!
Miss Rae was the first one to do her hair, and she chose a pink/lavender bow
Here we have a "close up" of the bows in action on each girl!
Cora had a more purple lavender bow.
Myra liked the colonial blue bow which went very well with the contrast fabric
Outside profile view
Close up - NO BRACES! Very cute smile on a very cute girl!
I love how her nail polish matches her bow! (yes I know it it sideways, sorry)
Sisters... Sisters...
What is that down there?
My Favorite Photo! Love these 3 hermana amigas!

Adventures
Previous to living in Utah, our activites were generally super cheap or free. That is Washington D.C. for you. Since we have come to Utah we have decided to explore one place each year. We then get a membership for the year and go back numerous times till we feel we have gotten our money's worth. I think The first year we got a membership at "This is the Place" - We really enjoyed that at Christmas time with their carolers and crafts, and live raindeer with the nativity in the barn. The second year we were checking out Ogden. We went to the train museum, the gun museum and the train depot. We got a membership at the Ogden Treehouse Children's Museum. Usually the memberships allow you to get others in with your family at a discount. I know we drug my niece T and her kids up with us in the summer. This year we have a membership for Thanksgiving Point. It allows us to get guests in with us at 1/2 cost. so if you want to go with us, just let me know! I have always wanted to see their tulip festival, so I am excited to have a date tomorrow with the man to see the Tulips! He likes the gardens and the flowers just like I do. Kinda nice to have a place to go and walk on a friday night date...I am grateful my man likes to do adventures with me!

The Animals at Thanksgiving Point...
If you go to the animal section at Thanksgiving point they have pony rides for small children under 12 that is included in the admission. Lilly Loves that part!
While you are waiting for the wagon ride or Carriage ride depending on how many people want to ride, they have bunnies to look at and a play Jail.
Holly is feeling sorry for Cora in Jail
They also have a saloon stage where kids can pretend they are performing. Lilly decided Cora needed to be done.
Our Man went as the adult with a very full carriage of girls. They enjoyed the ride, but when we posed whether they would come visit us in Utah if they had to drive a carriage, Summer said NOT in the winter.. Or the Summer!
We also went to the Dinosaur Museum. Right at the end of the museum they have this section where you can "dig" with paint brushes to uncover the fossils. Lilliy and Holly were enjoying this!

Kid Shots
So I was picking cute photos of my kids and realized Holly is in most of them! I think I must have a thing for her, or she is a camera magnet.
Holly and Myra!
Holly rubbing Spencer's shoulders!
Holly's preschool class at the police station. Yes she really is that tall.

Prom invites
Rachael was invited a while back with a tray of seeds that were suppose to spell the guy's name. We ended up with a really healthy J, the other initials didn't pan out. Good thing I talk to the dates mom at least three times a week at preschool! We told her who it was and she was happy! She left a confidential letter in his car stamped "Accepted February 29, 2012"
Spencer decided to help his friend Andy ask a young lady that lives behind us. He dressed up as Moses with the Ten Commandments of dating. I noticed an error, the first commandment says thou shalt have no other dates before me... Ah... Andy? She has gone out with Spencer before you! He said he meant on Prom! Okay, glad we cleared that up!
Spencer decided he wanted to ask a friend to go to prom as well. So he made this pizza, and his friends dropped it off at the girls house AFTER Spencer picked her up for a date. They made sure initials were a hot topic on the date so she would figure out who was asking.
She replied with an incredible cookie pizza with fruit roll ups cut out as pepperonis, and laffy taffy as peppers, and licorice as olives. She also had coconuts as cheese. She was awesome, and he spent about 2 weeks eating that cookie!
Just in case you were wondering, the mom's have WAY MORE FUN with the preparations for prom than the kids do! MAUAHHHHHHHH!!!!

Easter Photos #1
Holly was doing a camera check - Yep the camera was really cold from being left in the van!
Cora wanted a special picture of her easter basket - which was hidden in a plastic bag under the plastic bag in the kitchen trashcan. (Thanks dad!)
If you have a new dress it is fun! When that new dress is a twirly dress you HAVE to try it out!!!!!
The man got his matching tie, he's happy!
Here is the family that is home this Easter. We are minus the oldest Boy but he is cooking(oops!) I mean working down in Texas as a missionary right now.
Someone was very pleased with the stuffed animal in her easter basket :)
Away we go to church! Happy Easter! We are very thankful for our Savior and his infinate gift to all of us!

Salvaged curtains
After my epic fail with the sunshine, I cut off the parts of the table cloth with the paint and saved as much as possible. I made a valance with the biggest piece and then just used another plain cloth for the curtain, but I didn't like the finished effect. So I used scrapes to sew on to the inside edge of the curtain just where I pull them together.
It works for me, and I think the scrapes tie the two together nicely.
