Good Peanut Butter Muffins
Another try yesterday evening, and the peanut butter muffins came out pretty well done and fluffy. One more item in my can bake list. Yeah! Baked out 6 and pass one to szeli and one to chew. The only mistake was to add the grape concord, as it makes the muffin a little too moist, peanut butter and chocolate chips alone will be purrrfect.

My morning with half-boiled eggs
Half-boiled eggs are the trickiest creatures in this world, I mean literally. Or, to be fair, it was those 2 I bumped into yesterday morning.

I haven't ate half boiled eggs for the last 10 years, because I decided that it look very yucky when I woke up one day.
However, it looks very tasty one day suddenly after 10 years.
So, I suggested to mama, that we can have HBE for breakfast, with a nice piece of toast of course.
So, she was rushing out to the market, and told me to take care of the eggs myself.
"When the water boil, dump them in and count to 10"
I was skeptical, is 10 seconds enough? But, as the saying goes "We listen to mama and do not question everything they say." I soon realized 10s was only enough to brush my teeth. The egg that came out looks as raw as it can be. Darn, now what, i was rushing for a project meeting. I called mama but she didnt pick up her phone. Shit.
So, i took out a new egg and tried once more. This time, to play safe, i decided, i should count up to 30 seconds. Erm, but is it 30seconds with the stove turned off or on? To be fair, i decided: 5seconds with the stove turned off, and 25seconds with the stove turned off. Guess what, YEAH, the egg was still raw as ever.
NOW WHAT? Remembering my chemistry class, i created a water bath - dumped the egg in a metal bowl, and dumped that bowl in the hot water. It worked! Some of the transparent parts turned white. Dumped black soya and pepper and stir, and pretended that I wasnt the one who cooked that egg. Saw the previous egg i dumped aside, and did the same, since it's irrational to leave it there to rot.
Result:
I felt all sick and was late. Damn.
Used 4 bowls, 2 pots, 1 ladle, 2 spoons. Got myself scalded 3 times.
Lesson learnt:
Get other people to cook my half boiled egg for me.
Aftermath:
Mama " Eh, i told you 1 mins okay".

Photoshop Lesson
I think I must have had been possessed to join Hui for photo.shop lessons, at 9am in the morning on a monday, IN THE HOLIDAYS.
And it did turn out very cocked up, no thanks to the bad adminstration and communication overlook of the organizers. I felt bad about waking chao turtle up early in the morning to rescue me, good thing we managed to make our way in for the class. I also felt bad for that Perry guy.
The first part of the lesson was about creating image, so far so good, we came up with all sorts of weird graphics, because most of the teachings are pretty basic and also we both happen to be avid PS users.

We were playing around with gradients. Hui created this while i rotted there, eyelids all heavy. She thought it's ugly, I thought it was pretty!
We practised more on gradient, and I added in some lame text.

We were still playing around. I drew a dog, Hui said it looked more like a cow with its dots.
We were STILL playing a fool. Hui drew an angry fish, and I added the tacky ribbon. Haha.
Hui was very happy with the cow, until i added in the purple body and dirt-colored head, and all the grass. Well i cant possible let my new pet starve to death, hence all the grasses ya see. We X-ed it and killed it nicely at the end of class.
Afterwhich, there was no time for us to horse around and take more pictures, because the instructor started teaching about some higher-level editing at gunpowder speed. And of course, I caught no ball, and this kind admin uncle working in the lab had to come out and help two blur dorks. Yet, we both suspected, he also wanted to play with the PS and join in the fun, haha. Still it was very nice of him.
This is the last photo of our practice. I was telling Hui that the fonts remind me of Paddle Pops. She said they are no longer being sold, I challenged that and suggested we go NTUC and find after the class.
But after designing this somewhat weird school poster,
we got too sleepy and tired, and we forgot about Paddle Pops.

About Bidding
I was supposed to wake up all early this morning to call the office and asked about my weird module, long story, sigh. I set the alarm at 8am and was pretty sure there will be no problem. The alarm did rang but somehow i must have done something, i woke up at 920am, and i was trying to piece my soul back together before i realize that my bidding was at 930! SHIT, but good thing, the nice lady at the office emailed me at 8.57am and solved my problem & at 925am i was poised at my sister's computer (with a faster connection) ready to bid.
And i got all the modules i want!! I know some of you are giving that look now, because 2ndS people are supposed to get what they want, since we bid a day before than the rest. That was also what I thought, but i realized that they have clamped down the no of vacancies say like only leave 10 vancancies for a 40 people class. This must be an answer to the complaints from the other students, but seriously, for those specialized modules like ____ law, i think only 2ndS people will relish the subject come on. So, leaving 75% vacancies to an uninterested bunch is ... You know what i mean. Good thing i can click fast, because all the 10 vacancies were snapped up at once. Despite everything, i am still very happy with the school system, haha, this is the first time i got through without any hitch. 3 cheers! Thanks to the lady at that office who is always so efficient despite my bugging. keke.

Tis' the season to be Merry
The number of photos in my 750i reached an alarming 600. This is a sign that I need to upload some of them elsewhere before the pitiful phone die in my own hands.
It was 29th Nov 2006, and it was also the unfateful day I did a last minute resume and tendered it up to this luxury brand company for the managment program. My very first try at submitting my resume was a total disaster, because at the 11th hour, I was still in a big mess asking anyone and everyone, whether my photo should be dumped on the cover letter or the resume itself. I must admit I am horrible at such things, it took me so long to put off the procrastination and begin an application. I am such a terrible person sometimes. And I sense that the application might already have been down the drain.
Anyway, after much hola and ohla and much help from everyone, i did it! And I rushed out to meet Chew and guess what, my sandals actually fell apart along the way, and i began to worry if Emily had inflicted 'shoe-killer- disease on me. Haha, thank godness, i managed to find a pair of replacement, an ugly one, but beggers aren't choosers.
So, we finally managed to make our way down to Chinatown and stock up some nitty gritty for my jewel making. Then, we hopped back to town to have our dinner and look at the lightings. The lightings looked a little weird this year, or was it my imagination? The shade of gold looks weird, like it belonged to Chinese New Year instead, haha, Emily was the one who first commented so. Still, it was good to see the ever humongous Christmas Tree at Takashimaya & snapped few photos. Chew looked very happy to see the lights, some people never grow up you see. Ok Ok, i admit, i forced him to stand there and pose with a smile. :D BUT, that weird upside down picture was self taken.
On one hand, i hope Christmas comes really soon because I like the festive mood, but on the other hand, i wish Christmas will move a little slower, then I can enjoy my holidays a little longer. Human beings, we are never contented. YOU! Dont start thinking "Why drag me into the picture?" I am sure you are the same, :D

Painful ears
After all the excitement, my ears are damn painful now. Bah. Now I need to find the small bottle of liquid given to me and dump them all over my ears.

Green Hope
I made this for myself to spur myself for the exams, which will end in 2.5 days time!
Raindrops keep falling on my head
The weather is too wet for any jogs or cycling. I finally start to do some exercises recently. The very 1st one was cycling around the neighbourhood, haha, and guess what, i can finally bike up and down a slope, yeah. And the 2nd time, i went for a 10min jog, but i felt very giddy after that and stopped. haha, it was still some exercise done. I want to go for swims soon after my exams yeah.
Nevertheless, the weather is perfect for a bit of lazing around, with emi fujita's songs crooning in the backdrop. Nice and comfy. Thanks to hj for the recommendation and teaching me that this is SOUL & R&B.
Ah, back to work, ending ASEAN in a bit. Good.
Before that, I shall go have a slice of coffee cake dipped in milk, it was suppose to be Banana cake, but mama mistook the coffee cake for a banana cake. sweat.

Maastricht, Limburg
Heard from em recently that mei went to Netherlands,maastricht.
I totally have no idea which part is that...
From what mei told me, Masstricht is in the south, limburg. And Holland is the south of Netherlands. Guess what? I am such a 龟，i never knew that. Very typical, I am a geog idiot. haha :D I even thought Holland is a whole country by itself. Faint.
Haha, anws, do take good care mei, hope u are reading this:)
