It's hard to believe that we are in for a whole week of rain next week. But I guess we are. So I decided to head out to the nursery today and pick up some springtime flowers before the rains hit. It is in the 70's again here today, so planting outside in the garden seemed like a good way to spend the day.The sun was shining on my back as as I planted fragrant stock, sunny yellow violas and linaria.
And the sunny morning went over pretty well for Whiskey Sour and Dandelion too.

If it wasn't for the tails, you couldn't tell which end is which! Dogs and sunshine... it's a given!
ReplyDeleteOh, the ever fragrant Stock. It is a tried and true friend to my flower garden. How envious I am of your winter gardening abilities. I must ask, is your garden ever bothered by Japanese Beetles?
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet peaceful visit today. Nothing soothes the soul like flowers and sun shining in the window... Just what I need after watching the evening news
ReplyDeleteI wish I loved to garden. I love looking at other people's gardens. I love hearing how much they love to garden. I love beautiful flowers. I just don't like to plan it out or plant it. I had 3 children hoping one of them will have an intense love for it, and rescue our yard. Holly:)
ReplyDelete70's...I can't even remember what that feels like! LOL! Love those cats in the sun! ha.
ReplyDeleteOh...this makes me miss my garden back home. LOVE it. Comforting post. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove your cats there. Cute.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers in your nursery Kary are amazing. how lovely. Hope you don't mind the rain too much?
It feels so serene here.
Hello!
ReplyDeleteFlowers are lovely; it looks like spring is already there!
Such a treat to see a sneak peak of spring here.... where we take a risk of frozen flowers if we plant before Memorial Day!
ReplyDeleteHi Kary! Well, I read your post and went out & bought paperwhites, tete a tete's & white hyadcinths in pots and almost ready to pop! As the man said 'It's January, Lady' and it's the best i could do at the moment, but it's reminded me - along with the thaw that's set in- that Spring will come again, and not too long to wait! Thanks for the beautiful post & lovely kitty pictures (although Alice didn't like them ONE BIT!!) xoxox Rachel
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the PLANNING! Congrats on your blog award! I was going to pass it on to you in my post today... but looks like you already got it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of your cats - that's what I'd like to be doing right now. :)
ReplyDeleteThe flowers have such beautiful colors! Makes me anxious for spring. Love your kitties in the sun : )
ReplyDeleteWhen enough snow has melted to locate a flower bed , I'll be putting in pansies and , later , snapdragons . But I'm not holding my breath !
ReplyDeletebeautiful flowers and beautiful kitties! i'm back, sorry for not stopping by for a while... i'm very busy in the office and have no time to read my fav blogs... but it will change soon :)
