Daddy's Girl-My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club

Good day! I have another layout today using the May Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club.

This is my youngest granddaughter Emily reading with her dad. I love this photo. I know it's not the best quality (I didn't take it lol) but it's moments like this that make life special and should be documented.
I used the May Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club for this layout. This kit is chocked full of gorgeous papers, flowers and other gorgeous embellishments.
I added some layers behind my photo using tags I made from the papers included in the kit. I primed my page with clear gesso (always) because I wanted to add some dimension around the photo with a stencil and some moulding paste.
I took the lace from the die cut sheet from 49 & Market that came in the kit and cut it in half using one half to go along underneath the photo.
Blooms in the kit are from Prima and match the papers beautifully. I also added a small piece of colored cheesecloth to add more texture to the layout.
Last close-up for the day. I added just a little bit of interest on the bottom right hand corner of my page by using the other half of the paper lace, more cheesecloth, a tag and a bloom. This was a really simple layout to do and I enjoyed myself!

Hope all is well with you and I will be back with the final layout for this month soon! Stay safe and take care!
All the best! :)

Hello Beautiful-My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club

I am back today to share another layout done with the gorgeous Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club.

This kit includes some gorgeous papers for fussy cutting, which I happen to love! For this layout I decided to fussy cut all the elements I wanted to use and combine it with some ephemera and printed chipboard to compose my page. I used a plain piece of white cardstock and primed it with white gesso. This allows me to add color to my page and make any corrections I need to without destroying my page. The following are some close-ups:
A sticker sheet was included with the Cottage Fields collection and I took some of the stickers and adhered them to scraps of cardstock to give them more strength. I backed many of the pieces with cardboard and began to tuck them all around my photo.
I used some Lindy's mists on my background then went over the area with a stamp (Blue Fern tattered newspaper) and some black archival ink.
Lots of fussy cutting lol!
Printed chipboard and ephemera.
For my title I used a piece of printed chipboard that said Hello Beautiful.
More printed chipboard.

By the way the photo is of my oldest granddaughter Lilly taken several years ago. I have always loved this photo but was never quite sure how to scrap it until I received this kit.
The last of my close-ups lol (sorry I got carried away).

I really enjoyed working with this kit! I tried doing totally different styles for each layout to show the versatility of this kit!
You can get your kit here.

I hope you enjoyed and I will be back with another layout soon! In the meantime please stay safe!

All the best! :)

One Fine Day-My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club

Welcome! I am back today with some exciting news! I am a guest designer for My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club. I have been a member of this kit club since 2007 and have had countless hours of joy playing with these beautiful kits. Today I would like to share my first layout with you using the gorgeous Limited Edition Kit (my favorite!)

This layout features some 49 & Market papers included with the kit.

This kit features papers from 49 & Market and Simple Stories Cottage Fields Collection as well as flowers from Prima, a stencil from Simple Stories, a Color Bloom mist from Prima, ephemera, chipboard, everything you need to design some beautiful pages! You can find all their kits here.

This layout features a photo from my wedding back in 2011. After 15 years I finally agreed to make it "official".
I used the sketch from April to do this layout. You can find the sketches on the blog here.
I did some hand stitching around my photo in colors that matched the papers. I also used some bead trim to make it stand out more.
Some beautiful Prima blooms to embellish the page.
I fussy cut some of the elements from the 49 & Market papers. I wanted to keep this layout flat and relatively simple so it could fit into my wedding album.
I made a little tag just to commemorate the date and place and added a fussy cut butterfly and a gem from my stash.

That's it for today! I'll be back to share more layouts done with this awesome kit! See you soon. Stay safe!

All the best! :)

The Best Beach

Helloooo! I am back again with another sketch entry. This one is for the February challenge at My Creative Scrapbook kit club. This is my design.
This was taken in Antigua. This had to be the most amazing vacation of my life. Such a beautiful place and gorgeous resort! This is the Pineapple Beach Club.
This was the sketch I worked with you can find it on their blog at My Creative Scrapbook Kit Club Blog.
I used an older kit from July 2020 featuring the Prima collection Surfboard.
For my title I used a piece of the printed chipboard that came with the kit.
I fussy cut some elements from one of the papers and popped it up with foam squares to give the layout dimension. I also did some stencil work on my background and lightly misted it with Salt Water Taffy and Cosmopolitan Pink sprays from Lindy's.
I used the Prima blooms that came with the kit. They are stunning! I also used some of the ephemera that was also included.
I used some Seedlings from Blue Fern Studios in Robin's Egg and Dark Pink for extra texture.
A close-up.
More epehmera from the pack. I cut off the white border as it looks much better.
A close-up of another piece of Printed Chipboard.

I have decided to go back and start using up all the wonderful kits and papers I have before I buy more. Let's see how many years it takes me!

All the best!

Love you

Hi there! It's been awhile. I've been sort of in the dulldrums lately. I think that being house bound is starting to take it's toll on me and I am praying that the vaccine gets to our area soon! In the meantime I have a new layout today.

This is my adorable grandson Hudson on his first Birthday. I always seem to struggle with boy pages. I have become so used to scrapping my daughters and granddaughters that when it came to boys I would put it off. Fortunately I find it so much easier when I am following a sketch and the papers from 49 & Market are so versatile it was easy!

This was the sketch I used.
I used the die cut sheet from Vintage Artistry Everyday collection and used the orange flowers as part of my embellishments. I also used the leaves from the Blue Raspberry Sugar Petals to add some more dimension.
For my title I used a piece of Blue Fern chipboard (love) and embossed it with orange. I then used a rubon from the Everyday collection for the word you. You can also see here how I took some Art Stones from Prima and sprayed them with some Afternoon Denim Delight from Lindys Stamp Gang for more texture.
I did the same in the opposite corner of the page. For my background I primed my page with clear gesso. I then used my Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide ink pad and added color to the background then stamped over it with black archival ink.
I made my own frames and hand stitched them in different colors to match my color scheme of blue and orange.
Another close-up of my little cutie.
My last close-up. I also used a few of the little bead die cuts from the die cut sheet from the Wedgewood collection for fun. The blooms are also from 49 & Market.

I really enjoyed doing this layout and now have to catch up on years of photos for all three of my grandsons!

In the meantime stay safe!

All the best! :)

Live for these moments

I am back today with another 49 & Market layout! I love all their new lines!

This is my take on the sketch for this month's challenge.
This is the sketch. I tilted the sketch on it's side and decided to scrap it that way.

I used Whale Watch Blue mist from Lindy's Stamp Gang to add the splatter effect on my page.
I used the Wedgewood Rubos as the leaf element on the page.
Love, love, love layering! I used some pieces from the Layered Embellishments and several pieces from the Die Cut package.
I used a piece from the Die Cut sheet as my title.
I used all 49 & Market Flowers for this layout in Salmon, Blue Raspberry, Wildflowers in Sky.

And that's it for today!

Hope you are well and staying safe!

All the best! :)

Lillybean

Hi there. Welcome to my blog. I have been working away but have slacked off with the blogging. Today I have a layout done with the Vintage Artistry collection in Sky and Sage.
This is the namesake to my blog. This is Lillybean my oldest grandchild when she was just a toddler, she is now 13! Where does the time go? Lilly is the reason I started scrapbooking.
On my background I did some stenciling then used some Whale Watch Blue to add some color.
I made a couple of blooms from the same paper and used a few from the Blue Raspberry package from 49& Market.
With these papers I was all about the layers! I didn't have the opportunity to buy the Die Cut pack (lost my job to Covid) so I made my own hand stitched frames and other pieces. I used just two small chipboard flourishes and embossed them with Pearl embossing powder from Blue Fern Studios.   I used a stamp to make a little banner and wrote in my title Lillybean.

And that's a wrap!
Please stay safe, socially distance and wear a mask. I am petrified about how this Pandemic is playing out and the fact that some people still don't believe that it is real. We will never overcome this unless we work together!

All the best! :)
