Good morning everyone! I am here today with my interpretation of this month's Mood Board at Scrap Around the World. When I saw the Mood Board I knew immediately that I wanted to scrap this photo. I don't know if you remember little Kiki (Kisses for Keaton) who battled with cancer, but I have been working on a series of albums for the family documenting their journey. This latest photo says so much!! Kiki is currently cancer free!!! This photo is the family's way of facing their new future without cancer with love and hope!
This is the wonderful Mood Board that I had to work with designed by the awesome Valia Katzaki from Greece.
Needless to say you can tell that I was inspired by the positive quote on the board as well as the pink and gold colors. Now for a few close-ups!
I used three different lines from Blue Fern papers for this layout. One from Vintage Christmas for my background page and some from Frolic and Montage for some fussy cut elements. Love Blue Fern!! I wanted to ensure that i included the words love and hope in this layout as they really are the premise for this photo. I used Tim Holtz rubs on for these two words. I used a Prima stencil (my new fav!) to add texture to the background. The chippie is also from Blue Fern Studios and I simply painted it with some gold inklingz from Shimmerz in Brass knuckles.
Hope. Again the key chippie is from Blue Fern studios. The gorgeous baby pink calla lilly is from Petaloo! Some bling fron ZVA creative. I have a ton of this stuff I really need to use!
The berry cluster and flower is from Prima's Menagerie line. The gold stars were in my stash for years so I finally dragged them out painted them gold then added some gloss and doused them with gold glitter. In real life this page really sparkles! The pink bling around the photo is also from Prima.
I did my background with clear Gesso then misted away using a variety of mists from ShimmerZ and Lindy's Stamp Gang for the blue. I also used some micro beads from Prima in blush for some more fun texture.
All the yummy goodies I used to add color to my page!
