Thank-you
I just have to add a very big thank-you to Dan Laginskie who has the patience of a Saint and helped me make this blog look special! You're the best! Thanks again.
Bo Bunny Sketch Challenge-NEW YOU
I did this layout for the bo Bunny Sketch Challenge. It is about my youngest daughter Jessie and how she has overcome a very difficult time in her life and reinvented herself. I used Bo Bunny's Enchanted line with a bit of Jazmyne mixed in.
I used Tomoko Tagahashi's tutorial on the lettering
and Gabrielle Pollaco's tutorial on the silver and black flower.
I struggled with this flower and it's definitely not the best I've ever done but I went ahead and added it just because it was my first try.
TFL and have a great day!

Lilly's latest layout!
My grandaughter Lilly went to her room 45 mins ago and told her sister to stay downstairs that she was going to make her a picture. She came back with this layout of her sister Emily. I am amazed at this girl. For a five year old to put together the pieces and glue all by herself, well I am just one proud grandma! She even spelled her sisters name by herself! Time for grandma to send her a care package of goodies so she can keep going!

The Color Room-My Beloved
This week's color room palette
and this is my entry
My husband John and I (still weird saying that!) at our wedding this past August. We were so fortunate to be there that day. Three weeks before this picture was taken John was laying in an ICU after having half of his lung removed. We had found out in May (the very day I buried my mom) that John had a massive tumor in his lung. I am thrilled to say all is well now but there are no words to properly explain what life was like for me then. My smile is from the very bottom of my heart! At lot of fussy cutting went into this layout, all the flowers and birds around the pic. Also did alot of stamping and I absolutely love the LeBlanche stamps (chair). The rest of the stamps are Bo Bunny. Yes there will be alot of wedding pictures going up over the next few months! TFL! Have an awesome day!

Once Upon A Sketch
Introducing Lillybean
I thought it might be nice to introduce you to the namesake behind this blog. Meet Lilly Katelyn my oldest granddaughter. I took up scrapbooking shortly after she was born. Named after my favourite flower, Lilly is now a precocious five going on sixteen.
Lilly came into my life during a very difficult time and brought light and life back into my world. She is like my doppleganger we love all the same things from reading to gardening to scrapbooking!! She is already quite talented and I know without a doubt that she will one day surpass her grandma and be a star in the scrapbooking world!
This is Lilly's most recent page! Amazing given that she did the entire thing all by herself short of knowing what glue to use for flowers! She asked me to enter it into a contest so I have posted it here,it's already a winner!
I am very new to blogging so please bear with me as I find my way through this new media. I look forward to introducing you to the rest of my family and views of the world through my eyes. TFL
