Ruta Destroy! (2002)

This is a really odd stuff from Madrid of the 00s. Seems like a video clip blending all the acid experience of the rave movement with small music performances. The amateur actors give a real touch to the project and the funny sketches are completing it's purpose. Another alternative cinematic experience for sure. It was on Fantasia Film Festival. Montreal, Canada. You can find it on dvd "Short Gauge Trauma".

Blackaria (2010)

Welcome to the twisted world of François Gaillard and Christophe Robin. They are also directed the incredible 'Last Caress' back in 2010. This is the second film of a package dedicated to neo giallo. Full of bloody murders and naked beautiful women, it is an ode to neo noir and a trip into horror fantasy. A young woman, Angela tries to understand her nightmares asking for advice from her friend Marco, a psychologist. Her neighbor Anna Maria, organizes orgies at her apartment and drives Angela into the abyss of a weird atmosphere. As Angela finds her dead one day, she discovers that a strange thing happens as she looks through the broken glasses of a magic sphere. What happens to the time and who is the freaky killer wearing the red coat? Angela has to find the solution and escape from this situation as the murders lead to her as for the next victim. It was another interesting attempt from the French directors duo, but I think 'Last Caress' was working better as a plot. There are some cool scenes as the eye sliced by the razor, probably influenced by Bunuel. Maybe with a bigger budget and a better scenario we could have a miraculous result as well.

Meter maid me massacre (2006)

What the hell was that?? A project that first seems to be an awful low budget gore movie, finally becomes a tremendous comedy with cool fight choreography and lots of fun!

Amore tossico (1983)

This is maybe the best film about drugs. And the reason is that the Italian director Claudio Caligari used real junkies and non professional actors to show the image of this tragical story where reality is a fact and death is all around. Cesare and his pals are looking for their next fix surviving at the detached suburbs of Rome. He lives a distorted romance with Michela taking more and more drugs and trying to find a meaning at their misery. This circle of ill people steal and spend their time looking for money and the pleasure of the moment. The main actor, Cesare Ferretti, died of AIDS in 1986. Several co-actors also died some years later. It is a shame that these young people died in real as no one could help them survive from the nightmare of drugs. This film is dedicated to all people and their families who suffered from the drug illness.

Enjoy Valentine's day with : My bloody valentine (1981)

Jessie and Axel are both friends and mineworkers at the small town of Valentine Bluffs. They are in love with the same girl Sarah who used to be with Jessie since he left the town. Now that he is back again, there is going to be a conflict between him and Axel. They will face also the frightening crimes of the serial killer Harry Warden who returns at the city after twenty years continuing the bloodbath. The reason of the killings is that he was left dying in the mine from his irresponsible bosses who have gone to a party so he hates Valentines day and kills everyone who celebrates on it. It is a cult film and a surprising success as also a wonderful addition to the slasher genre of the 80s. A must seen for horror fans!

Zombie Strippers! (2008)

Ok I think this actually funny film will be the CULT one in the next twenty years. So think about it and give it a try.
You don't have any expectations of a film where porn star Jenna Jameson acts. The story is so simple and the acting is quite good.
When a mad scientist infects some people with a virus, a death squad will participate for their elimination. But accidentally a member of this team will have a wound and becomes the next zombie. The real trouble begins when he enters a strip club and attacks a dancer.
Soon more strippers will turn into zombies and they eat the clients.
And the war between the humans and the zombies will leave no time for thinking. Only for bloodsucking!

La noche del terror ciego aka Tombs of the blind dead (1971)

This is a great and hard to find horror film from the early 70s.
It is much better than a lot of slashers and zombie movies that released the latter half of the 70's and the entire 80's.
Betty and Virginia used to be class and roommates as students of the college.
When they meet up again in Lisbon after some years they will organize a trip into the Portuguese's inland.
But Betty likes Roger, Virginia's closest friend so the last one is jealous and will leave off the train and stay the night at an abandoned monastery located in Berzano. People don't like to speak for this place because they think it is haunted by the Templars, a legion of evil knights who lived there back in the 13th century.
They quested for eternal life by drinking human blood and committing sacrifices.
Now is the time to wake up back from the dead and seek for new victims!

The Burning Moon (1992)

The Burning Moon is one of the bloodiest movies ever.
What do you want for the menu?
Rapes, decapitations, killings, stabbings, head explosions.
As gore as you can take without throwing out your dinner.
Directing and acting are awful but the soundtrack is just fine.
Olaf Ittenbach is an ultra gore director and knows the tips for a good splatter movie. He is also the protagonist, playing a guy who is addicted to drugs and fights around with his friends. He has a lot of problems in the house and when his parents leave him with his younger sister, he will fright her telling two disturbingly morbid stories.
The first one could be the ideal love story but the man is a psycho killer who escaped from a clinic and starts killing everyone who meets. He falls in love with a woman but when she finds out who he really is, she is leaving him. But he will follow her at her house and the bloodbath will begin. At the second story we will find a satanic priest who rapes and kills various women at the small town he lives. A lot of people think that another guy is responsible for the massacre and soon they will pay someone to kill him. In the middle time the priest committed suicide but he will help the innocent man to rise from the dead and take revenge on his murderer. A cult film for viewers with guts!

Oasis of the Zombies (1981)

After a battle between the Allies and German troops in the African desert at the Second World War, only two men survive knowing the secret about the treasure Germans have brought with.
All the dead soldiers become zombies and when Robert, the son of the American captain returns to the oasis in order to find the treasure, the zombies attack as they are thirsty for blood...human blood!
A classic 80s style zombie film with nice soundtrack but average direction and acting.
Not one of the best but surely one to see if you are a fan of zombie movies!

3 dev adam aka 3 Mighty Men aka Captain America and Santo vs. Spider-Man (1973)

Is he a hero or a looser? What about a useless Spiderman who is the leader of a smugglers gang?
He can't shoot webs anymore or climb up anywhere. And he is always beaten up.
From who?
From Captain America (yeah you heard it - Captain America in Turkey!!) and the legendary masked wrestler from Mexico, Santo.
Spidey's mobs are based in Istanbul stealing treasures from rich families.
The police can't arrest them so they call in help of the two heroes.
They will find out Spidey's secret location and a battle to death will start.
Thrilling costumes and a simple plot with extremely funny fighting scenes will keep you entertained till you drop laughing.

Machete (2010)

Texan director Robert Rodriquez continues his tribute to grind house & exploitation cinema genres.
He directs a bloody story about vengeance and he does it very well.
He blends political intrigues with the concern of justice in human rights.
It is not just another b movie but focuses into problems of immigration too.
Danny Trejo was the ideal man for the protagonist's role.
His scars can thrill everyone. His machete too.
He is an ex federal cop who loses his family after being trapped by drug lord Torrez (Steven Seagul).
When Michael Booth, the Texas senator's advisor offers him a job he will be a victim of conspiracy.
But he will survive and seek for revenge. A woman who helps Mexican immigrants, a cop and a priest will come along him to clean up the mess.

Shôwa kayô daizenshû aka Karaoke terror (2003)

Karaoke Terror is an extraordinary black comedy based on Ryû Murakami's famous novel.
When a pervert kills a middle aged woman, her friends (all called Midori) will seek for revenge.
So they will finally take him down but now is the time for his friends, another karaoke singers team to follow and continue this blood path.
So the battle will be a death game for all.
This film is a parody of Japan's modern life and social system including extreme violence and middle age dullness.
Only for open minded watchers!

Amazon Women on the Moon (1987)

A parody of 1950's sci-fi movies, mixed with various comedy sketches.
Low budget stuff at its best although it has a great cast.
More than half of the main plot is missing.
It is interrupted by commercials, informecials and filler shows that sometime destroy the whole film.
Some of the sketches are really funny and entertaining though.
It is an interesting and unusual piece for sure.
A cult for comedic classics with great moments through its bizarre cinematography.
