This is a "rojak" entry - a summary of what happened for the past 2 months.. been too occupied with work recently, hence lesser time spent on blogging. After slogging during the weekdays, my weekends are for slacking and .. of course my fave - potato couch-ing!

Thanks to Chinlee, we had FREE trip to Singapore Zoo! Couldn't rememeber when was the last time I visited the zoo..

Waiting for the Asian Elephant Show! Opps... Chinlee is busy munching her self-made sandwich.

Jean's fren with her 2 lovely kids - the hyperactive Theresa and super duper cutie Isabella. Nowadays kids are so fortunate and well-fed - even the little baby is suckling her juicy strawberry!

She's so chubby!

Though we just spent 5 hours in the zoo... it was indeed very tiring.... my whole body ached!! Was it because lack of exercise?? or I'm already old???

Those who know me aware that my Chinese sucks, yea.. I can't deny. And those who know how sucky my Chinese is must be shocked when I have to deliver my training in CHINESE!! yes... pure Chinese as my audience know very little English.. I couldn't believe it myself either.. but I did it - pretty OK! ;)

Of course the first session was huge disappointment and ... embarrasing! but I didn't give up! Greatest encouragement was when I received compliments from the audience that I'm improving and their consideration throughout the session. Really thank them for their supportive attention. I think this is one of my biggest achievement so far...

"BELIEVE" .. believe you can do it... do your utmost and ... you will reap the fruitful outcome.

A gift from one fo the florist - the lavender scented eye pillow

A water impression from my boss. Bought from FarEastFlora.com. Interesting... but very troublesome.. coz I have to feed the fishy and change the water... not an easy task to rear fishy!

Brother's Graduation..

I rushed all the way to attend my brother's graduation. In the end, I reached after the whole ceremony had ended. Just managed to take some snapshots with mum and bro. Dad had to leave early for work.

Finally, my bro had graduated from his diploma course.. intend to further his studies.. up to him.. though my parents would fully support him no matter what..

Actually, I'm trully grateful and blessed to have an understanding and noble parents. They have always provide us with the best no matter how difficult life is.. While most of my friends are now paying off their study loans, bank loan, what-ever loans (not to say their parents are not good).. I'm free of all these loans.. why? coz my parents forked out their own savings just to have us studied in a stress-free environment.. They would rather suffer themselves..

Well.. one more graduation ceremony to go this year - my sister in Australia.. looking forward to holidaying in Sydney and/or Melbourne and/or Gold Coast... depending on my savings!! haha.. gotta be disciplined!!

My mum looks very cute in this purple top..
After that.. we headed to No Signboard for dinner!! Yippie... Forever packed with crab lovers..

Our dishes including...
~ La La ~

~ Honey Pork Ribs ~

~ Crispy Cereal Beancurd ~

And... the one we were waiting for...

~ Chili Crab ~

The portion was abit scary... but it was yummy !!.. of course it came up a "reasonable" price - $151++ .. of course I paid for the dinner la.. =)

How am I lately??

Can't believe that the time when I last blogged was in Jan??? Hm... it shows how occupied I am with WORK.. where got time to blog? Haha... that's why only our Ms Janice still maintains her enthusiasm to blog till now... Good job, gal!

My last post was about my complaints and grumblings on whether I should call it a quit. Hm, Talk Only No Action wan... I'm still with my current job.. I believe everyone goes through some bad patch in work or life... Well, the current stress level is still within my threshold.. let see when I'm gonna explore... meanwhile I still continue to fight on.. though everyone commented how tired and shagged I am.. yes... SLEEP IS A LUXURY to me now!!

Alright.. was back in Ipoh on Labour Day with the main concern to visit my grandma (was granted a day half as part of my birthday present from boss and my dear colleagues). Well, nothing spectacular, coz I spent most of the time on laptop to finish the report..

Just some snapshots during the family dinner with my grandparents and beloved aunties at Kim Bali - yummy dinner!
He's everyone's darling!! So cutie... your heart will melt when he cries...

He's so happy with his complimentary ice cream

"Don't disturb me... I wanna enjoy my ice cream!"

His signature pose!

My grandparents - though my grandma still looks frails.... can see that she's delighted! Get well soon.....

Finally, I've made a decision - I bought a Burberry bag. Was deciding between Gucci and Burberry.. since Gucci doesnt have the design I want and partially because the service attitude of the staff, I splurged in Burberry instead. Hopefully, it was not an impulse buying..

Of all the brands, I would say Burberry has the best service.. be it in Paragon or Taka... unlike some staff from some high-end brands did not even be bothered to serve.. or should I say they judge who to be served?? most probably..

It's true.. there's a difference when you walk into these high-end shops carrying a big-whatever-brand bag with you.. the staff would take their initiative to SMILE to you, even OFFER if you need any help or anything design we are looking for!! .. that's how great impact your APPEARANCE can give!

Chinlee said I must take care of this paper bag coz I can sell it for 10bucks... haha.. nonsense her! But for sure I will remind myself to bring along plastic bag with me when I go drinking next time... make sure I don't vomit in my bag anymore!!

Not a happy gal...

Been experiencing working blues lately. Suddenly, I have this impulse to call it a quit. Don't feel like working anyway.

When asked, "Do you like what are you doing?"

I'm totally clueless about it. Sometimes I do, and sometimes I just hate it. Hate it because I have to cope with so many things, and yet I'm unable to deliver what is expected from me. So, in the end, I feel very suffocated with the work load.. argh.. HELP!

How do I regain the momentum? Kindly advise.

My Shanghai Trip

Was looking forward to this trip, though it was meant to be a "business" trip. Heard so many interesting and happening stuff in Shanghai. But, my trip didn't start off well.. it burnt a super big hole in my pocket!

Literally, I was being deported. Was supposed to fly on Sunday morning.. but I couldn't check in! First time in my life I went through this hoo-hah. Phew..so drama-mama..

Why? Coz I did not have visa for China and I've forgotten that Malaysian needs visa!! Since no passport no is required during the booking, so the travel agent did not know I need a visa.

What to do? I had to do my visa the next day, then upgrade my flight and fly on Monday midnite - ALONE! All these fuss cost me $470! argh.. heart pain liao.
Anyway, the purpose of this business trip was to conduct market reserach interview. The interviews went quite well. But didn't have the time to shop.. so, I did not buy anything at all. Just managed to get fake Paul Smith shirt and Kenneth Cole shirt for my bro and dad!

Just a few photos taken, as I was paiseh to snap photo fanatically in front of my boss. Haha..

Whole street of pubs at Tong Ren Jie.

Judy's Too - this was the place where I almost drunk for 2 nights! Here, I had learnt some dice games, drank "black labelled green tea", where I happily drank until the point where suddenly I flet so tipsy and yes, high!

I think throughout the whole trip, I drank more liquor than water!

The Bund aka Wai Tan

With Little Alvin & Adelene
With our bossThe signature landmark of Shanghai - Oriental Pearl Tower(More pictures when I get from Alvin)

The scenery was superb and magnificient! When I reached there, it was like another side of Shanghai - so modern and developed. However, apart from the beautiful sight, it was accompanied by a saddening fact. Witnessed some old ladies and man carrying infants, as young as 1 yr old, standing along the street in cold and chilling day begging for money! and some were so poor that they were homeless.. So, do modernization and development benefit the people?

Well, on our last day in Shanghai, before we left, we went to shop for chinese tea at dunno-wat-temple street. (haha, can't remember the name of the street).

Tang-bao aka Soup Bun

"Colourful balls" of different flavours

Well, that's all I have for my first Shanghai trip. My conclusion - Shanghai is the place of polluted air and noise, lots of bicycle, and nearly killed by inconsiderate drivers, exciting night life, yummylicious and cheap food, lots of imitation goods - opps I mean replica goods and not to mention - beautiful gals.

Went to Korean Trade Fair last Mon at The Expo. Saw this super stylo mylo Samsung HP.. I like this one!!! So small, at first glance, we thought it was another MP3 player! It's just costs 270++, but, without camera. The one with camera costs 300++..

Supposed to use my next month pay cheque to buy an Acer laptop, which costs $1800++, but then my parents urged me not to get first le.. since my laptop is still in good condition. Just buy a battery which costs 300++.. hm, how le?? I'm in dilemma le...

If I'm not getting a laptop, then I'm so tempted to get a bag for myself and maybe a few months later, another for my mum. I love tote bag... been eyeing on these both bags.. but dunno how much.. haha... maybe next month I go see see...

Xmas present for myself?? haha... wat a good excuse to spend!

Next week will be another packed and stressful week..Gotta move to new office at Ubi Techpark, no more CBD liao... sob sob

I was assigned to go for a mission - to attend IWC WatchMaking Session at the Sentosa Cove organised by Sincere Watch Academy.

I felt so out of place when I reached there... as you know, one piece of Sincere timepiece can cost a few months of my salary. And I was just wearing the most expensive watch I've ever had - Guess diamond watch - which is NOTHING compared to them. And I was alone there!!

There was this uncle waiter - so cute (ahem, I'm not saying physically cute hor).. why? He offered me a selection of drinks and finger food, which I declined politely. Second time he offered, and I declined again. Until the third time, he offered again with his so sincere expression, die die also must make me say yes. As if he'd be fired if any of us was not eating or drinking. I was sitting down on the cushion, and he was kneeling down on 1 knee! Finally, I asked for iced water. And since then, he kept feeding me with food!

Time for watchmaking! We were directed into the lab and wore the white lab coat! Really hands-on experience on how to dismantle and assemble the small and tiny parts in the watch!! So, we experienced how was it like to be a watch maker!

Start exploring the movement!
These are the tools needed
Ta-da - that's how it looks like in the watch. Gotta be so delicate and gentle when handling the movement
It was fun!! A watch maker needs to go for studies and training for 4 years before cetified.

After the session, I took the chance to explore the surrounding while locating for the taxi stand.

So-Beautiful view...

It's a pond le.. so niceSo heavenly-blissful to have a condo/apartment here, rite? Facing the sea and your yatch just parked right in front of your apartment?
Alright, stop dreaming..!! (unless you're are super ultra rich! or u married to a Mr.Super Ultra Richie)
