What dya know? IM BAcKKKK!

In my opinion, all these critics are lookin at the Dan Brown phenomenon incorrectly.My view is that our culture is starved for intellectual discussion abt the big questions of our time. We no longer undstd the signs & symbols that were once intuitively obvious to our forbears. We are torn between the impulses twd faith & spirituality on the one hand, & science & technology on the other. The more logical & technological our society becomes, the more some of us crave spirituality and return to past values. The more some conclude that God is dead or irrelevant, the more others find themselves returning to churches or mosques etc..

The more globalized and materialistic our cultures become, the more small grps seem attracted to the most illogical, untenable, extremist, and dangerous religious dogmas. We are supposed to be living in the info age, yet we dunno if we are being lied to abt basic facts. We knw more & more abt what happened microseconds after the BIG BANG, yet we still know nothing abt what happened b4 it. We are plunging headlong into a new millennium that is qualitatively different fromt he two millenia prior. We desperately wanna talk abt the experience, but there is no forum for doin so.

Thats why Dan Brown's bks give us the chance to engage in some of the discussion, albeit it may not be the most profound discussion, but what it lacks in profundity it makes up for in accessibility. In most of our daily lives, its not easy to fit in reading a book from cover to cover, thinking abt it, talkin abt it, & becoming stimulated to do additonal readings, but ANGELS AND DEMONS & DVC, have caused millions of ppl to go thru that process.

Dan Brown says some intriguing & tantalizing things abt antimatter, entaglement theory, and 21st century cosmology.
He gives you a start.

He gets you interested- but doesnt tell you everything you want to know.

Thats what the good book does!

I was surfing thru mu usual dosage of THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW and i was shocked to see TYRA BANKS show instead! I love tyra show but I was expecting ELLEN you know..
Why did Ellen left the air without informing?! [stalker mode...]

Well, in Tyra show, the theme was 'PROMNIGHT NIGHTMARES'.
The guests were Brittany Snow and the HOT HOT Idris Elba..*yummy!
and she included 2 girls whom one, her then bf broke up with her and asked her best fren to the prom instead, and the poor thing was left with with NO date. [whats the biggie?]
The other girl, snagged her zip at the prom and her pompous hair-weave was done by her grandma turned out looking drastic for her.


Now that didnt bothered me one bit. Thats their issues to deal with. The thing that bothers me is that why are they so hard up on prom night?! I wasnt!Never seent he reason why I had to pay so much attention to prom.Isnt it all abt inner beauty that shines thru and not dressing to kill and proving to ppl that you are hot and who you will be bringing to prom is gonna make you hot nor popular?

Thats not gonna save the day.. if you are hereditarily and genetically well-endowed and blessed with that oh-so-good-looks...good for you! but those whose beauty isnt coming from their momma... what are they gonna feel?thats gonna crush their social images like a stigma for life!

Speaking of which...
Lets not forget Miss Universe Pageant.
It was all a controversy when they said Singaporeans didnt make MSU pageant a big thing like prepping the girls to be young ladies and 'Miss Universe Material' to show the world they are beautiful and they fit the throne.

But what is the true essence of beauty??
Idealistcally, singaporeans dun have a distinctive look to pass off as Singaporeans if you know what i mean...
Like in Miss China or Miss Thailand.
They have that distinctive features that looks like their counterparts.

But in Singapore? We are mixed with multi-racials and multi-faceted looks and diverse lifestyles and characters. Cant expect a chinese girl when they have Ms China, Taiwan, Hongkong and so on and so forth. They need somthg different.

Like pick a malay or Indian or Eurasian for peace-sakes!They at least, have the butt, the boobs to adequately qualify for it. Ok maybe its hard to find them with brains like the ones from NUS or NTU or which ever tertiary they may come from.
NO offence here but my multi-racial frens swore by it too! They,too, stand a chance!

LOLZ.Remember the malay lawyer who got thru? yea.. that was one in a million man..they shud pick more.. Why not others? If she and my fren RIMA MELATI can get thru, why cant you guys feel inspired to join as well?Others who acn carry themselves well, not juz mere beauty and 'oh-graduate-from-so-and-so' to fit the bill.

Smart and gorgeous is what they need.
DSF productions might be running out of sponsors cuz maybe, just maybe, they keep choosing girls not ladies who can qualify and have the X-FACTOR.

Maybe they need to do some head-hunting to the streets of singapore.cuz those intelligent ones will not enter. They are smart not to anyways.Saving themselves from utter embarrassment more like it.

Look, I am fine with it and happy for them who got thru and managed to publically 'flaunt' their antics on videos....
It may have been satisfactory to some... some of my focus groups bitches [hahhaa!] warned me not to see it after dinner. [why?!]well, after seeing it, you might regurgitate your dinner or lunch you had for 2 days! -- or maybe your bile or kidneys will escape from your system just by looking at it... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ok![*chuckles*]

To me, maybe a handful of them hopefuls are relatively ok looking and cute to look at...as for the rest, maybe they are out of more girls to choose from..Haven had more choices to choose from cuz the rest of the gorgeous HOT looking babes are somewhere in singapore streets or heartlands busy having a life.

I lost someone today. Not a close grandfather, but he is my granduncle. Was out with mom today making specs when we received a call of his death. His death came as a shock to all of us. I remembered him being the cheeky one.. u know, the one who gave us names... he actually gave my sister her name.

yeaps. He was the Imam for Indonesian embassy years ago.. he and the late ex president of indo- Suharto, are friends.
The thing is, I didnt have the time to visit him when was at the ICU and I was juz telling mom I will visit him soon when he was discharged. This morning, we were juz talking abt it in fact! He was discharged few days back. No news tho...
till this afternoon. Well, I hope things will go well for the family.

Watched The Ellen Show in the wee hours of the morning. I was, as usual, used the show as a bedtime thingy when i was on the line. Halfway dozing off, i realised the show was abt to end. There was this segment where Ellen reads the mail of their viewer's comments or requests. There was this autistic girl who wrote a letter to Ellen, told Ellen that she always sends email to her mother juz like how Ellen speaks to her mother on air everyday.
Since that autistic gal cant speak, she emails her mother.

This time , she wanted it to be extra special cuz her mom watches Ellen regularly, and she decides to email to Ellen and tell her to say it on air how much her daughter loves her mother. She told Ellen -- not many autistic kids could spell nor speak, but she is grateful that she knows how to spell I LOVE YOU. So she dedicated the email and conveyed the message to her mom with these 3 magnificient words.

Now, this really touched me deep. Clearly, we've been oblivious to that, we are all able, yet, we take nothing into consideration to say ' I LOVE YOU' or ' THANK YOU' to the people we most owe it to.

Do take time to ponder.

its crazy unbelievably the most intricate yet a lil whimsically easy to use.
its sleek and the pictures that were taken were so sharply pixeled that my pores cud be seen from 3 derma tissues from the core! hahahahahahhahah
