For years I am a fan of the GoRound Interior brand. They design beautiful interior products and accessories with inspiration from all around the world. GoRound means every time of the year new collections, so take a look at the   GoRound Interior Instagram account to find out what is new.

When I saw this colourful velvet bags, I immediately fell in love. Lovely prints and embroidery in bright spring colours! A real eye catcher in your bag or in your bathroom.

Al jaren ben ik een fan van het merk GoRound Interior. Ze ontwerpen prachtige interieurproducten en accessoires met inspiratie van over de hele wereld. GoRound betekent “rondgaan” dus er zijn het hele jaar door nieuwe collecties. Neem eens een ​​kijkje op het GoRound Interior Instagram account om te zien wat nieuw is.

Toen ik deze kleurrijke fluwelen tetuis zag, werd ik meteen verliefd. Mooie prints en borduurwerk in heldere lentekleuren! Een echte blikvanger in je tas of in je badkamer.

Een huis zonder kleur, ik kan het me niet voorstellen. 
In bijna iedere ruimte heb ik wel een gekleurde muur, gekleurde kussens of gordijnen.

Super leuk dus om een dag te gast te zijn bij Flexa het Sikkens Experience centre in een mooi pand in Amsterdamse School stijl.

Natuurlijk was alles kleur wat de klok sloeg! Een Flexa Flea market vol houten kringloopvondsten, stonden te wachten om een fris kleurtje met het nieuwste Flexa product: Mooi Makkelijk! Tussen alle vintage schatten stond een prachtige lampvoet. Daar was ik al een tijdje naar op zoek, omdat ik tijdens de opening van de Homestock winkel in Zwolle een prachtige lampenkap ontwierp. Ik koos een prachtige kleur groen:100% Sisal,  om deze lampvoet een eigentijdse look te geven. En super fijn dat je met Mooi Makkelijk niet hoeft te gronden!

Over de trends die inspireerden tot de keuze van Spiced Honey als kleur van 2019 vertelde Heleen van Gent ons alles. Hoe leuk om te weten dat Spiced Honey en de matchende kleurpaletten wereldwijd gebruikt worden. Daarna een lekkere lunch en toen nog meer informatie over de fijne kleuren van Flexa en Cetabever. Natuurlijk kregen we de kleurwaaier mee en mochten we een keuze maken uit de handige Flexa kleurtesters. Nog een inspirerende workshop over Kleur, waarbij ook aandacht voor het Colour the World project van Flexa. Wist je dat ze de huizen van dorpjes in andere landen oppimpen, om zo een betere omgeving voor kinderen te realiseren?

Tot slot een rondleiding door het verfmuseum waar je door de geschiedenis van Flexa verf, en het ambacht van schilderen en verf maken kunt lopen!

Moe, maar super geïnspireerd ging ik weer naar huis. Mijn lampenvoet heeft een top plek in huis en is een echte eyecatcher!

I can’t image a home without colour...

In almost every room I have a coloured wall, coloured pillows or curtains.

So it was great to be a guest at the Flexa Bloggers event at the Sikkens Experience center in a beautiful building in the Amsterdam School style. Of course colour was the main theme this day! A Flexa Flea market full of wooden thrift-finds were waiting for a fresh tan with the newest Flexa product: Mooi Makkelijk! There was a beautiful lamp-foot among all the vintage treasures. I had been looking for a lamp-foot for a while, because at the opening of the Homestock store in Zwolle, I designed a beautiful lampshade. I chose a beautiful green colour: 100% Sisal,  to give this lamp-foot a trendy look. The best thing of the Mooi Makkelijk paint is that you don't have to use a base primer!

Heleen van Gent told us everything about the trends that inspired the choice for Spiced Honey as the colour for 2019. How nice to know that Spiced Honey and the matching color palettes are used worldwide. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and afterwards we got more information about the fine colours of Flexa and Cetabever. Of course we were given the colour chart and we were allowed to make a choice from the Flexa colour testers. Another inspiring workshop about Colour, we also pay attention to the Colour the World project from Flexa. Did you know that they paint the houses of villages in countries all over the world to create a better environment for children? Finally, a tour in the paint museum where you can walk through the history of Flexa paint, and the craft of painting and making paint!

Tired but inspired I went home again. My lamp-foot has a top spot in the house and is a real eye catcher!

¡Little piece of Art: Flowers & Herbs by NADesign!

A few weeks ago I was surprised by dear Jessica of NADesign who send me a beautiful print “Rietpluim” in my favorite colour Soft Pink. NADesign is a home accessory brand with handmade products such as plaids, pillows, lamps, bowls and candlesticks. NADesign loves honest materials with a no-nonsense feeling.

NADesign designed a new poster collection with Flowers and Herbs. Just take a look at the webshop and discover “Papaver” and “Kruid” in a beautiful color scheme, with beautiful green and the apantone colour of the year Coral.

“Papaver” in ochre is high on my wishlist to complete my little Art Wall...

Een paar weken geleden werd ik verrast door mijn Jessica van NADesign die me een mooie print "Rietpluim" stuurde in mijn favoriete kleur Soft Pink. NADesign is een woonaccessoire merk met handgemaakte producten, zoals plaids, kussens, lampen, schalen en kandelaars. NADesign houdt van eerlijke materialen met een no-nonsense gevoel.

NADesign ontwierp een nieuwe postercollectie met bloemen en kruiden. Kijk maar eens naar de webshop en ontdek "Papaver" en "Kruid" in een prachtig kleurenschema, met prachtig groen en de Pantone kleur van het jaar Living Coral.

"Papaver" in oker staat hoog op mijn verlanglijstje om mijn kleine Art Wall te voltooien ...

¡Sarajevo Dreamhouse: Svrzo’s House!

My last holidays I spent in the Balkan, travelling around through Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia. I immediately fell in love with Bosnia. Though you can still see a lot of destroyed buildings of the past war, there are also a lot of beautiful Ottoman influences.

Especially in Sarajevo! There is a real Ottoman bazar with a caravanserai restaurant but also the beautiful Svrzina Kuća: Svro’s house. An oasis of whitewashed walls, cobbled courtyards and partly vine-draped balcony’s, this 18th-century house has been brilliantly restored and appropriately furnished, so you can imagine Sarajevo life in Ottoman times. I really fell in love with the beautiful traditional Bosnian woodcarving, tiled stoves, embroidered cushions and curtains and kelims in weathered colours. We stayed here for more than an hour, and there was nobody around. Therefore we had a very good look at the house and all it’s beautiful details and made lots of pictures.

If you have ever the change to visit Sajarevo (highly recommended) make sure to visit this beautiful place!

Mijn laatste vakantie bracht ik door in de Balkan en reisde rond door Bosnië, Servië, Montenegro en Kroatië. Ik werd meteen verliefd op Bosnië. Hoewel je nog steeds veel verwoeste gebouwen uit de afgelopen oorlog kunt zien, zijn er ook veel prachtige Ottomaanse invloeden.

Vooral in Sarajevo! Er is een echte Ottomaanse bazaar met een karavanserai-restaurant, maar ook het prachtige Svrzina Kuća: Svro's huis. Een oase van witgekalkte muren, geplaveide binnenpleintjes en deels met wijnranken begroeide balkons. Dit 18e-eeuwse huis is op schitterende wijze gerestaureerd en op passende wijze ingericht, zodat je het leven van Sarajevo in Ottomaanse tijden kunt voorstellen. Ik werd echt verliefd op het prachtige traditionele Bosnische houtsnijwerk, betegelde kachels, geborduurde kussens en gordijnen en kelims in verweerde kleuren. We waren hier meer dan een uur en er was niemand in de buurt. Daardoor konden we het huis en al zijn prachtige details uitgebreid bekijken en fotograferen.

Mocht je ooit een tripje naar Sarajevo maken (aanrader) vergeet dan niet deze prachtige plek te bezoeken!

¡Happiness is a Feel Good Tinne + Mia bag!

Bags... you never have enough of them.

Especially when they are beautiful coloured en every bag has a little quote... My favourite Feel Good bags are from Dutch Designers Tinne + Mia.

When I saw their new Cross Body FGBaggy bag in beautiful Almond vegan leather, I immediately fell in love.

“I hope you dance” is the quote on this lovely bag! Of course I danced when I received it. And “It feels very good inside” because the inner lining is the same colour as my coat.

Next to the cross body FGBaggy bags there are also large Feel Good bags and Feel Good backpacks in the collection. Dusty Coral and Orange Clay are my favourite Feel Good bags but if you prefer dark colours there is also Off Black, Auburn and Chinese blue. Now the only thing I hope is that there will be matching wallets in a next collection...

Tassen ... je hebt er nooit genoeg van. Vooral als ze mooi gekleurd zijn en elke tas een fijne quote heeft ... Mijn favoriete Feel Good tassen zijn van Dutch Designers Tinne + Mia.

Toen ik hun nieuwe Cross Body FGBaggy tas zag in mooi veganistisch leer in de kleur Almond, werd ik meteen verliefd.

"I hope you dance" is de quote op deze mooie tas! Natuurlijk danste ik toen ik deze beauty met de post kreeg. En het “Feels very good Inside” want de binnenvoering heeft dezelfde kleur als mijn jas.

Naast de Cross body FGBaggy tassen zijn er ook handige grote Feel Good tassen en Feel Good rugzakken in de collectie.
