it's a lil late for tis post. hahaha. i rejoined Temasek Poly Students' Union (TPSU) as a subcomm. it's my 2nd year alr.! hahaha okok. i went for interview wif Hanlin, he's the assistant Logistics head for Freshmen Orientation Camp/Workshop ay 08/09, and Duke Yee, ex Adventure Club (AC) Main Comm ay 07/08. haha i believed i did the interview quite good. haha then came the results. I'M IN! TGT WIF HANLIN & DUKE! and alot other old subcomms and new freshies joined! was so happy then.



DAY 1



thereafter, came the subcomm camp, it's lyk 2 or 3 days aft the results have been posted up on all SAA boards. haha, looking forward to it. and it's only 2 days 1 night, so not much to prepare. i went for school as usual on Friday, 11th July 2008. den i went home to pack my bags aft settling some stuffs in skol. went out to skol, forgot to take towel, lyk i always forgot to take stuffs for any camp. -.-



met Duke, Alvin and Jac beforehand at mushroom. wanted to have dinner, but didn't have time for it. so we went down straight to koi pond, instead of Sports Complex. tis yr different. den went to check which empire i'm in. Tristan. wow, what a name. haha and Alvin, tgt wif another guy from Indonesia called Anthony Salim, was in TWO empires, Tristan and Lancelot. lolll. Alvin chose Lancelot, and Anthony chose us! TRISTAN!. hahaha.



AND AND! GIDEON AND YVONNE ARE OUR FAs!!! =D



i shall skip all the formalities in camp, the speech of Brandon, coz i forgot wad he said, and the rules and regulations of camp, blah blah, etc etc. we then put our bags in meeting rooms. haha. before settling down at koi pond again to start our station games for the night! we went to alot of stations, the 1st one being Gideon, Yvonne and Elene's station at circular gardens/BUS Com lab. where we caught water bombs and passing it to the other end, before passing most guys and all except one girl over our backs to the other end. there's tis girl, who's quite thin, she lay down aft me, so everyone just rolled over her as if she were a guy. i wasn't passed ard of coz, considering my weight. but we decided to roll, and Steven a lil gan cheong, rolled onto me, ouch.



i forgot the sequence of the stations but i do rmb going to Farhan and Zain's station, at DES level 1. it's not a bad idea but doesn't reli hype up the pple as it's at night time. another station was Business concourse level (level 2). where, if i didn't rmb wrongly, John and YuTing were the station masters. tat station was quite fun, though it didn't involve everyone or most of us at any pt in time. nevertheless, we had fun holding soap bars and squeezing it to pass to the next person. nearing the end, we had a 'high-flyer'. tis guy squeezed it high, real high and the other guy managed to catch it when it came down! so fun.



ITAS Concours level (level 3) was wif Maybellin and Hakim for our empire. we played the game, which i forgot the name. has to do wif walking lyk penguins and ducks. it's sort of those yi, er, san, mu tou ren! where Hakim was Merlin, a mythical character in the story of our camp. he can rain down at any of us, if we were caught moving. the game goes like tis, Merlin will tell us to walk lyk a penguin or duck. den our empire was divided into two, facing each other. we have to try to penguin walk or duck walk to the other side. opposite each other.Merlin would den say 'OK' den we'll move on. but he'll say '1, 2, 3 SU ROX!' den we'll have to stop, if not we get splashed wif water. it's quite fun, seeing pple slide a few metres!



our last game was the most memorable one, coz it's the dirtiest! Glenn and someone else whom i forgot who... opps. anyways, dere were two garbage bags on the floor, flattened out. and sweet sauce and other ingredients were poured onto it and mixed! the smell itself is enuff to make u puke. well, we wasn't reli tat creative, and literally ROLLED over the... tink. ewwwwww damn freaking smelly.

oh wells tat's abt all for day 1. i and Alvin, Jac, Duke, Hanlin and Hanlin's younger brother, went to Engine to buy cup noodles and juz stayed dere the whole night.



DAY 2



it started off wif Morning PT, Physical Training. not those u see in NS or wtv, but juz normal waming up. and cheering! haha. tis yr's PT doesn't have running, PHEW! last yr's was crazy. we ran from Sports Comp to Triangular gardens den a few rounds, zigzagging Traiangular gardens. damn tiring last yr. tis yr's was much better. den went to have our breakfast, at MENSA. hahaha. had packet drinks and sandwiches tat looked lyk AGM's. before setting off for our last day of station games!



again, i forgot the sequence. there are 5 station games, but we went to 4 only, coz we were behind time and don't have enuff time to play the last stn, which is oso the only dirty station games. i rmb Yee Ping and Edwin's station at SDC level 1. where we were divided into 3 grps, each holding a big, bigger and biggest garbage bag. some representative from each grp were asked out to throw water bombs, using garbage bag, to us. we are supposed to collect as much water bombs as possible. haha. alot got wet. the throwers were humourous.the tried alot of time throwing, and alot of the bombs fell and burst, rite below dem coz it failed to launch. hahah. in the end, the grp wif the smallest no. of water bombs were called out. and Edwin said tat gel will be applied to all members of the grp wif.... the LARGEST amt of water bombs! hahaha. so the 1st grp got it. the gel. haha. Gideon, as usual, was sabo-ed! he had a centre parting! hahaha.



i rmb another game at Tembusu Grove, at the sand pit. we played volleyball! haha my 1st time though. our empire were divided into two again. one on each side. some members were playing as knights! the rest were to play as injured knights, either the hand or the legs is broken. ahah a pair will either tie one of their legs or hands tgt. there were other games but i forgot! :(



there were lunch, den pocket games and pocket games. Go Back Jump, Concentration, Follow The Leader. Follow The Leader was the most memorable game in my 2 days of subcomm camp. becoz i had a forfeit, at the same time wif Ang Ziwei. so a guy and a gal, wad other forfeit would they want. we had a 10-second hug. i don reli hug girls often so a lil awkward for me. and for her i guess. but, the forfeit was.. enjoyable. haha. oh wells. :-/



we then had TREASURE HUNT! the empires were allocated the 5 skools. we are supposed to find a cut BIG TPSU logo, wif words at the back. a total of 42 pieces! Tristan went to BUS, the best location u can ever get. haha. we combed level 1 - 6. managed to get 40 pieces i guess. den Giddy told us to go Tembusu Grove. and search for a FREAKING GREEN BEAN! -.-'' wth such a small bean. finding it at the grassy patch at Tembusu Grove is reli lyk wad Giddy said, finding a needle in a haystack.we were the 3rd empire to find it, Fang Yong found tat small bean. we were damn happy and ran over to our FAs and asked abt the next area to go. they said find John, at koi pond. at the same time, the other 2 empires found the bean as well! so Tristan ran lyk we neva ran b4. chionging to koi pond, wif one empire right beside, behing us at Jupiter cafe. hahaha. damn farni.



then it came the Final Clash (FC). it's held at the koi pond though. a real new concept. smaller place. wif coloured water as the bomb bags. we had white cloths tied to our legs. it's a much fairer way of playing FC. aiming at the legs. haha. we chose black. lol. we were 2nd i tink, it was damn fun. of coz, our emcee said abt breaking camp afterwards, when we gathered under the bridge, at koi pond. sh stopped halfway, den we, as old subcomms, knew wad was gonna happen next. den Production Crew (PC) played the mass dance song. WOOOOH frn everyone stood up and got into their pairs. quite chaotic though. hahahaha. i found my partner. den danced. aft tat the chicky dance. den the skool songl. quite alot pple were watching us from above. damn fun.



den aft the whole tink, we gathered for a picture of TPSU, formed by us! we spent 20mins doing that. Tat was at the real upper level, at library level 6 i guess. den looked down, man it is SO high up. haha. well tat's abt all of the camp. it's better to be said in person, more feelings, instead of juz blogging abt it. but oh wells, blogging abt it brings back memories.







HIE! i rarely post about my own personal life, but since i have nth to do now, whilst waiting for my project grp mates, i shall blog a lil abt wad's gonna happen today.

today is Thursday, a day where 2R01 doesn't have any class. RBB lec is cancelled for tis week and the week aft. BOE has alr. ended. so today is actually a day where we can sleep at home or play the whole day. other classmates have plans, lyk going to work, watching movies, and even jogging! where? in Bedok Reservoir! hahaha, so near to skol... but for me, i tot it was a break for me, no need to go skol today. but ytd, my CommSkills1 grp mate texted me saying to mit 10am in skol today, and yes i am retaking CommSkills1. u shld noe why. if u duno, u can jolly well ask me, i'm happy to say. i'm quite proud of my 'achievement' though. lol.

then, later at 12noon, i'm going to TCA!! i'm going to Sugarloaf, where Sandra is the headwaitress. haha it's my FIRST time going to Sugarloaf or ToP Table or TCA! WOOHOO quite eggcited. haha.

then i've to slack in skol for quite some time, coz i miting EeMing at 4.30pm to go for the BSC Subcomm interview! i've missed it last yr and i regretted it. so tis yr i'm gonna join and be active!
