Singapore, Slovenia and Croatia Being back in Singapore is absolutely fantastic!! Haven't been out all that much yet; still sorting my room and clothes out. MEGA MEGA packing session. But it's good to be back, life is SO MUCH more comfortable here =)) Anyways some photos from Slovenia and Croatia. A wonderful experience traveling with Amir, Kate and Alvis.
Alvis, Dan, Kate, Amir at a castle - good thing they're into stoopid photos too. Haha We spent one whole day getting from Bristol to Slovenia. Arrived at Ljubljana and rented a car. They almost ran out of auto cars, which meant that we had to drive a manual left-hand drive! MAD. We did most of the touristy thing at Bled; visited the castle and some caves.

So Kate, Alvis and I spent the WHOLE day doing all the extreme sports. SHIOK!! We started the day with Canyoning. Had to put on a wet suit and all the protective gear as we made our way thru' the streams and trees! Had to do a bit of absailing, flying fox and jumping/sliding into giant potholes filled with water. Stuff like that lahh.

White water rafting was a little disappointing. Hmmm Kate wanted to do the "intermediate" level but I decided that going for the easy one would be better; especially since the both of them haven't done it before. I was wrong - it was like a cruise like that. No challenge!! PLUS we had to paddle for some lazy americans who were with us! We did, however, get to jump off a bridge into the river. That was insane mann.

Quad-biking was crazy. We got to ride thru' rough terrains, up (and down) hills and across little towns. Super exciting. (If you
really wanna know why it makes my top ten, ask me)
Oh yes, some stoopid jumping photos by the meadows. Haha.

And one of Kate and Alvis
Looks like Streetfighter! Akuma v Dhalsim Took a train to Croatia and spent a few days in Zagreb. Super relaxed. Whilst Kate went shopping, the boys sat by the cafes and sipped our beers and coffees.
Wendy commented that it was one of those University application photos taken for the welcome package. From Zagreb, we headed to Dubrovnik. An extremely touristy place with lots of beaches.
Whilst having lunch at one of their restaurants. So beautiful!
A typical afternoon; having beer overlooking the majestic seas.
The view On the last day, the four of us went kayaking to Lokrum Island. The guide told us that we could go cliff-jumping there!!!
Getting ready
At the top of the cliff
There we go!!
Alvis and I after the jump Ended the night having a nice dinner and chilling at a Latino Club. The club itself was bad, but the bar area was really really nice. It played latino renditions of the regular top 40s. Interesting!! A few drinks later, we decided to take photos along the way home. HEH.
Good old army times Don't really have all the photos yet, but yeah, here's some that were in my camera. =)) Just to wrap it off, here's another!

Easter! So Easter break is over. BOO. Well I guess things don't change now that term has begun since there are no classes anyways. It does signify that I'm about 1.5 months away from home! So so fast! Anyways there's lot I wanna update but just lazy lahh. Should actually do so instead of playing KAKURO. Hi yah.
Pictures from Munich! =)

This is the Town Hall in the heart of Munich. It has this little clock thingy (which is sorely overrated) that does stuff twice a day.

Olympic Park. Though built for the 1972 Games, it hasn't lost its brillance!

Wendy and I met this really nice couple whilst at the Viktualienmarkt. They even bought us sausages! =)

We've concluded that Germany is for boys. Beer, meat and cars. What more can one ask for?

So we had a mini-council gathering! Martin and Sharon were visiting in Munich too. Thanks to Chongwee for taking us round as well. RIBENA!! You should have been there!!!!!! Then it'll be complete.

BMW Museum. Interesting car. Haha.

Frauenkirche.
Okay more of Zurich later!

Browns & Goldbrick House. A few of us gathered for a nice dinner a week back. Original aim was to get Susian to dine at Zero Degrees *whispers* she's not been there before!! But it was crowded and thus we went to some nice homely Italian Restaurant which was pretty good. The highlight of course, with Happybob's recommendation, was dessert at Browns. OOoooh so yummy yummy!!!

We had like a dessert each, which doesn't sound like a lot, but only Bob and Meishi managed to finish theirs. We had three orders of the Sticky Toffee Pudding, one Brownie topped with ice cream and a Apple Pie.

Haha I don't know, but this photo looks rather diplomatic, like one of those official-must-take photographs. Whatever lahh.
So there's evidence as to who's the BEST eater (or rather, has the best appetite - must be sensitive lahh huh). Check this out and decide for yourself. Hehe.

And the winner is ______ (fill in the blanks)
---
MSSA held their final social event at Goldbrick House. It was really really fun!!! I'm proud to be part of it!! A big shout out to Arvin for being a fantastic guitarist AND singer. These things just make Uni life a little better, a little more pleasant. =)

So Arv and I opened the first set with the usual numbers. High and Dry, Baby It's A Wild World amongst many other familiar tunes. The set included oldies such as Hey Jude, Knockin' On Heavens Door and Oasis' Stand By Me. The audience weren't really all that warmed up yet, so it was a little awkward. Haha.

From top left: Jenny with 'Fields of Gold', Alex with 'Chasing Cars' and 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You', Soraya with 'Crazy' and 'I'm Yours' and Weijen and Gavin with 'How To Save A Life'. Anyways other performers included Josh with his David Tao rendition of 'Yue Liang Dai Biao Shui De Xin' and Jolie with a Cantonese Song. Sorry ahh, can't remember the title! But she has a good voice!!

And so Alex wore the AC badge which made me very very proud!! AC pride. Simply unrivaled. A photo with Alvis. (Missing: many many more AC boys in the house!)

This photo didn't turn out very well, so had to add some effects to make it look .. erm .. better I guess. The place had nice big sofas to rest and have cocktails. So good! Am holding a Double Chocolate Expresso Martini. Something like that I think.

Love this shot! Taken by a distinguished photographer.
Dan, Gavin, Josh, Alex.
Arv and I wrapped up the evening with an impromptu version of 'This Love' by Maroon Five. It was okay lahh. All in all, a fantabulous evening. =) =) =)

Easter's Coming Up! It's a good and bad thing actually. That means that I've got less than three weeks to complete my FYP. Also, I've received my coursework for Company and am waiting for my second medical coursework to come out. Oh yes, medical results on Monday afternoon! Scared! But it's good cos' Malta is on the way, Munich to follow and Switzerland after!! Will get to see Wendy as well!!! So it's all good
eventually, just gotta get by the next few weeks!
It's been a pretty good week. Suzzie pok
finally received her present from the few of us. Ermm we surprised her by putting the present outside her room so that she would be pleasantly surprised the next morning BUT she sort of tripped on it and ended up knocking her head against the door. Don't ask me how it happened. It just did. OH WELL.
It was Josh's and Arvin's
and many others combined birthday bash last night! Had a really nice dinner with the usual crew at Antix before the rest joined for drinks (many) after.

The food was decently priced and the wine was nice. I'm beginning to enjoy these large dinners. I guess it's a bit of nostalgia given how it's goodbye in a couple of month's time. SO. It was great nonetheless.

The REAL party started after that. We proceeded upstairs (which Josh so kindly booked) for drinks. And as usual, many many pictures resulted.

What more can I say? These people make Bristol so much more pleasant!

I think we were trying to do a series of different shots. I can't quite remember what this was. ANYWAYS.

Nice photo of Meishi and Happybob.

Don't ask me why. I think people just bully me. BOO. Well I can understand why Vic would, given how she had to sing a Christmas song for me. Only cos' she was nice! HEH.
On a completely random note, I witnessed a lunar eclipse tonight! I spent about 15 mins trying to read up on what it actually was. These things are complicated. But here's a pictorial explanation. =)

On another completely random note, I was going through some old songs a few nights back and this song came to mind!! It's by Damage, who sang 'Forever'. Fantastic lyrics!!

Okay for all you lovebirds out there, remember this!!
'Cus this is a world where lovers often go astray
But if we love each other we won't go, won't go that way that way
So put your doubts aside, do what it takes to make it right
Coz I'll love you forever, no one can tear us apart'
Dearest Wendy, I miss the times we were 'walking jukeboxes', remember OBS? You churned out the lyrics and I the music. Those were GREAT times. Can't wait to be back where we can do that again!! *hugs*

Oneliner. I was just thinking about the good old days where Oneliner would do gigs. It was indeed fun and magical in its own way. We have definitely come a long way. From the birthday invitations to play to Raffles Hotel to Walas. Amazing. And I thank God for each one of you. I certainly look forward to July, where we can reunite once again and make beautiful music.

For all you out there who call me names - monkey, pig, nehneh, pok, moron, idiot, you know the usual few - there's a reason! It's because I grew up with a whole bunch of them!! Haha!! But I love these guys lahh, fantastic people! So, here's presenting Oneliner (and a few others who are missing)

Missing: Ian and Mark.
