My first solo on Eagle..
We have to do atleast 4-5 hours of circuit before they can let student go for their first solo..
I'm doing my circuit with Captain Sadick..
He is my instructor..
We have to stick with the instructor when we do they circuit exercise..
Honest saying that the circuit exercise is the most unforgettable moment..
Because this time is the most critical part..
Like being in the prison..
We have to learn a lot of thing in a short time..
And the instructor will be some sort of "cruel" person..
Some of them be like tiger, lion and some times they act like king kong..
You know what I mean rite??
And my instructor appear like one of that..
How worse it is..
And the circuit is the worse time for me in flying stage..
The first circuit exercise, I feel nearly to surrender in flying..
I'm the only one..
My others friend also feel the same thing..
But some of them got the instructor like "Mr. Nice Guy"..
How lucky are they..
I'm not as lucky as them..
The meter gauge of stress show at the caution range..
Anytime can go to the critical range..
But I remember what my mother have said to me before..
"Dont simply surrender and back off.. U choose this carrier, no one force you to enter this life.. If you feel dont, pray to Allah.. He will help you, give the strength to you.. Insya Allah, you will be fine.."
Sometimes we can say, our mother know more about us than ourself..
Okay, lets talk about the circuit..
The circuit is the exercise that you just fly around the airport..
We make an oval shape around the airport..
N we have to do touch n go..
Means, once landing we apply full power n airbone once again..
Depends on the situation, in one hour we can make how many circuit..
If we lucky maybe can do 6-7 touch n go..
If not, maybe only 2..
And in one circuit, we have to finish a lot of checks..
Sometimes we forget about it because to concentrate to fly the aircraft..
I'm also like that..
I will remember when the instructor shout to me..
You know what I mean rite??
Lets forget about the exercise..
After 5 hours of circuit, my instructor send me to do the solo check with other instructor..
Because he not qualified to do the solo check..
I feel nervous..
Hope I can perform today..
And he let me go for solo..
Before enter the aircraft, raise my hand and pray to Allah..
Hope everything good today..

I start the aircraft..
And we airbone..
I do as per normal..
First, I do the normal circuit..
All the thing was fine..
But the landing part is worse..
The aircraft bounce dont know how many times..
And of course the instructor say something..
I not remember that..
Dont want to..
The second circuit, I asked him..
"Sir, normal circuit??"
"Yes, what more I expect from you.."
"Oo.. Ok Sir.."
Second touchdown, I think better that the first..
We do 2 more circuit..
And the last circuit, he say to me..
"This time, you better than before, I sent you for solo.. If not, finish.. Understand??"
"Yes Sir"
Now I feel blur..
And the last touch down, same like before..
Huh..
I dont know, is it he let me go for solo of not..
His face like frustrating with me..
I taxi the aircraft to the apron..
And then suddenly he call the ATC..
Instructor : Ground APAC 20..
ATC : APAC 20 ground go ahead..
Instructor : APAC 20 request to change callsign to APAC 20 Sierra..
ATC : APAC 20, approve to change callsign to APAC 20 Sierra and standby for startup..
Instructor : Thank you sir, APAC 20 Sierra..
"If I sent you for solo, you can bring yourself and the aircraft in one piece??" he asked me..
"I can sir," I say it confidently..
"You idiot, dont say yes.. Say Insya Allah,"..
"Insya Allah sir," I reply him..
"Good.. Turn the aircraft and start,"..
"Is it we need to refuel sir??" I asked him..
He look at me and say "Why?? Only one circuit, why need to refuel.."
"Oo.. Ok sir," I smile at him..
Now my time come..
I start the aircraft alone..
Before this with the instructor..
Now, only me..
No one at the right side of the plane..
Me : Kota Bharu Ground APAC 20 Sierra, Assalamualaikum..
ATC : APAC 20 Sierra Kota Bharu Ground go ahead..
Me : Ground, APAC 20 Sierra request start up for one circuit and landing, POB 01, endurance 2 hours and 30 minutes in 9M-BDR copied information Bravo..
ATC : APAC 20 Sierra start approve for circuit and landing..
Me : Start approve for circuit and landing, APAC 20 Sierra..
I do all the check and run up..
Me : Ground APAC 20 Sierra request taxi..
ATC : APAC 20 Sierra, taxi holding point Charlie , contact tower APAC 20 Sierra..
Chocks off and taxi to holding point..
The feeling is different..
You are alone..
At holding point..
Me : Kota Bharu Tower APAC 20 Sierra at holding point Charlie, Assalamualaikum..
ATC : APAC 20 Sierra backtrack line up runway 10..
Me : Backtrack line up runway 10, APAC 20 Sierra..
Enter the runway, go as far as I can and backtrack for line up..
Me : Tower APAC 20 Sierra ready..
ATC : APAC 20 Sierra, climb 1000 feet for right hand circuit, clear for take-off..
Me : Climb 1000 feet for right hand circuit, clear for take off, APAC 20 Sierra..
Apply full power and airbone..
Once you leave the ground, nothing you can do except landing the aircraft..
I do as per normal..
Same thing that I have learn before this..
Me : Tower APAC 20 Sierra, downwind to land..
ATC : APAC 20 Sierra, continue approach, report final..
Me : Continue approach, report final APAC 20 Sierra..
On final..
This is the critical part..
Me : Tower APAC 20 Sierra, turning final to land..
ATC : APAC 20 Sierra, advice surface wind calm, clear to land..
Me : Copy that sir, clear to land APAC 20 Sierra..
Aiming point, airspeed, centerline..
Aiming point, airspeed, centerline..

Keep saying that..
To make sure you know where are you..
And, LAND..
As per normal..

To appreciate the time..

I went out from the aircraft and see the instructor..
"Hows your landing??" he asked me..
"Not so well sir," I say..
" Yah, I know.. I see it.. But ok, safe landing.."

Atlast, my aim have been achieved..
But, still long to go..
Just finish my solo..
Still have to going through a lot of exercise..
To prove the flying skill..
