Today was a beautiful day! It started with a nice slow morning, with church at 11. I called my mom to ask her something and thought "Hey wanna come to dinner?" So luckily they didn't have any other plans and were here by 5pm!
We had a great time even with the kids running circles around us the entire time!
The menu was, Steaks on the grill (great job Lane!) Kitty's famous potato casserole. Corn off the cob. Green beans. A tossed salad. Macaroni salad. And a VERY delicious chocolate cake (Thanks Mom!) As a matter of fact, she left a bunch here for us so I am going to go ahead and help myself to another! Thanks again for coming Jay and Lucy! You looked like young love birds driving away in your '65 Stang!
Come again!

Was it worth it??
Isn't this what you wonder every time you decide to have a yard sale as you are pricing and sifting through "stuff"?
Well here we are saying it sure was! It was 2 long days of heat, sunburns, popsicles, early mornings, late nights, and bartering. Even after all tha we feel great cuz we made out like bandits! The cool thing is is that we really did have cheap cheap prices but we had so much crap, I mean treasures that we made quite a little bundle!
I have to say I am very proud of my sister in law BECKY for going out of her comfort zone and letting go of a LOAD of stuff! Seeing some of her mom's things go was hard for her I am sure, but she did it like a champ!
They played MOST the day away in the pool/slide and trampoline/sprinkler combo. (i secretly wanted to hop in that cold water myself and would have if I wasn't trying to help Becky out)

The kids had themselves a great time selling popsicles and water. They each made 5 bucks and have a list of what they are going to buy with it. (we threw in a few bucks since we each stole a few waters and popsicles when they weren't looking)
They relaxed a bit on the trusty hammock.

I wish we could have gotten some pictures of the load we had the first day! It was almost overwhelming. As you know my mom owns a home decor store so we got some really cool stuff from her that was either a little bent up or warped or just sat for awhile and with in an hour all her cool stuff was gone! My favorite thing she gave us to sell at this Yard Sale was an opened bag of Depends!
WHAT THE?!?! (they were my gpa's and when he died she was going to give them to another elderly woman and she died, then their was one more older man that used them that she was going to give them to and HE died too. That is when she decided to stop trying to give them to someone) If you wish you had them, you can pick them up at D.I. in Rexburg!
Thanks to all you thrifters for coming to support us burnt mommas!

hmm...
So much for the toy room that is jam packed with toys AND so much for me getting online anytime soon!
Is it just mine or is does the first child always need to be VERY close by?!
A request...
As I was doing my thing Dawson says "Mom! Come take a picture of your kids to put on our blog!" So I did! (mainly cuz it is our homepage and every time it came up there I was. Kinda weird staring at yourself like that!) I have quite a few clients today so I am hoping that the kindness continues between these two fellas! We shall see........

31
Yup it is true, I turned 31 today (june 9th)! I remember when I was in my teens and looking at the people in their 30's like they were sooooo old, mature, with lots of kids. Seems different now somehow. I feel young, immature, and only have 2 kids.
Not really sure what you are suppose to write on your blog on your own birthday. I don't want it to turn into a BLAG (blog/brag) about myself!
Maybe I will just say thanks to everyone that I have been friends with, my new friends, my old pals, my family, and all those that have made my life a GREAT one thus far!

Now that I am over 30 I am hoping to up my game a bit. I want to start running. OK jogging. alright WALKING! I want to go to bed earlier so I can have more energy and be a nicer mom. I want to take up a photography course. I want to (and going to) get extensions so I can have long hair. (i decided to do it this fall so that i won't have it up in a pony all summer long at the pool etc.) I want to finish decorating my house. I want to try and save a little more cash. Get some pics of our house on this blog. Get a yard so the boys can run and play with out falling on rocks and dirt! Be a good neighbor and take them all treats. Do a 100% visiting teaching. (i sorta struggle with this one) Visit my gma ALL the time. Start doing hair 2 days a week instead of 4 (i am a bit disorganized and need a good planner/calender). Date my husband every week.
I am sure there is plenty more I need to accomplish and work on but that is my list for now....
One year older and wiser too... Happy Birthday, to me!
(mom, no making fun of this picture of me! Scary I know, it is late and I didn't want to scratch around for a better one!)

Tell me...
Why in the world am I sitting here in my house, eating a snow cone, in a sweater, it is June 6th, and the heat just kicked on???? I don't get it and I don't like it!
It is funny how if it is cold we complain and say we wish it were warm. Then when it is hot we complain about that too! I promise I will NOT complain that it is too hot this year, even if it rises to 110! I just want a little sun and some fun at the outdoor pool!!
OK I am done whining.....

D's Big "G" Day!
Better late than never right?? I have been struggling with a sinus and ear infection over here so I have been a slack daddy on keeping updated on my posting.....
Well, Daws graduated from Preschool last week. He always looked forward to going and if ever he was sick or we couldn't make it (which was only once) he would say "But MOM, I have to go because we learn things there!"
I must say the drive to I.F. 2 times a week is not going to be missed (on the ol' gas bill) but he will miss seeing his little pals so often. (ok do you not love rookies pants so high and belt cinched to the max and his diploma in his pocket?!)
Cole sure had a great time at Daws' graduation as well, Both the Cole's teetered and tauter ed and never listened to a single word of it...... hey that means I got to!
So after graduation we headed on over to Leo's Place for a little celebration.....rook, cole, kydon, behind kydon is carter and krue, then cole, dawson, jayce, and Zoey. They had a GREAT time and so did the adults!

Sit'en by the Fiya
Last week I came home from a party and couldn't find my boys anywhere! The house looked like they had been there (toys, shoes, and stuff all over) so I knew they couldn't be far. I thought, "hmm well, guess I get the house to myself." Then I looked out the back window and this is what I found......Another reason why I like living in the middle of nowhere! You can roast marshmallows in your very own back yard!
So what did I do? Did I stay inside and relax while the boys did some male bonding??? Oh heck no! I saddled on up with them and helped myself to a tasty s'more! I awarded myself the most golden delicious marshmallow maker. We haven't done this since (the weather has been weird and everyone in the house is taking turns with a nasty cold)
