Did You Know??

That today is National hairstylist appreciation day??? Well neither did I till my dear friend Maegan called and left me a message telling me so!! (THANKS MEG!)
How wonderful that they have such a day for us cosmetologist! (jk I am not a fan of when people use the term cosmetologist) Actually I find it quite humorous but thought you all should know, for those of you that didn't!
Here is my reminder to all of you out there to tell your hair stylist THANK YOU! (dang I wish I would have known earlier...I would have had a 1/2 off day of my cuts and colors! I had 5 clients today that would have LOVED that!
Make sure to mark it on your yearly calender!
To my clients.... I am waiting for your call! And if not just feel free to bring me something delicious! (hehe)

Super Star

Dawson goes to preschool and loves it. Teacher Kelly does this thing where she spotlights one student each week til the end of the year. They get to be the "Super Star". Well Daws was the first to be the Super Star and everyday since then he has asked me if he is still a Super Star?! As a mother I say "you sure are buddy!"
The first day of him getting to be the Super Star, I walk him in and his little buddy and cousin Rook yells to everyone in the class, "Hey guys Dawson brought koolaid cuz he is the ROCK STAR today!!" Daws just beamed like YUP, I sure am!
So they bring their favorite snack and a poster with fun pics of them as a baby/kid. Then share some fun facts about them.... He wanted to take fruit roll ups (would eat 4 in a row without any air if I let him) and Capri suns. That kid is like his dad... LOVES drinks. So that is what he took. Here are some of the pics on his poster... I would take a pic of the poster, but he and his brother had other plans for it.

What the?!?

OK so I haven't done anything yet with the "DO" yet but I will post pictures of what I did decide on.... is it long luscious and a rich brown... or is a short funky and boldly blonde??? stay tuned
On to other matters....

So I went to the local grocery store the other day and as I was finding myself a spot to park, I see one and think YIPPEE one real close (lazy i know)! Knowing that their is a lady in front of me I wasn't worried cuz on her license plate a handicap sticker. Since the handicap parking spot was 2 slots closer of course she would help herself to it... NOPE! She swiped my parking spot and left the handy one open! WHAT THE?!?
Have ya gassed up lately and thought you may have to take out a small loan to do so?? Every time I gas up (which is a ton with me driving here and there ALL the time) I can't get use to the 53bucks that it costs! I shouldn't complain cuz I know the suv's and other hogs are more but STILL..... WHAT THE?!?!

Why is it April 17th and the weather is still sweater/jacket weather??? Our house is done right, well except the cement. So on Monday the cement dudes tape it and mark it off so they can pour us a driveway and garage and stairs and porch right.... Just after lunch what happens??? It starts SNOWING!!! What the?!?!?!

I go and get my 2 a week shot on Tuesday. It has been such a wonderful thing in my life. I can breath I can go outside and just have more energy all around. Well on Tuesday I do my thing and a few hours later have a full on allergic reaction along with a major asthma attack.... WHAT THE?!? (sounds like i am looking for some sympathy huh... i am fine now so don't bother)

As I am writing this, no lie, I hear a THUD! I just ran into the boys room and Dawson is on the floor in a dog position trying to figure out what just happened. I said Daws, are you ok? and he starts giggling and says "The chair tipped over and made me fall off" What the?!? (it is 12:22)
It is now the next day at 4pm and I am still writing this ?!@#? thing! What the?!? ( i did go to bed, take a shower, eat breakfast, do 2 heads of hair, go to the bank, go to our new house, and make a salad for our party tonight... i swear my butt isn't stuck here on this chair)
Ya know those peeps that wear flip flops, sandals, tank tops, shorts, etc. in the middle of a 6 inch blizzard here? Sorry if I offended any of you but come on... What the?!?
My day was sooo busy yesterday and after I finished my Mongo list I had 4 heads of hair to whip up. Yeah as I am driving home from picking Daws up, my dull headache shifted into a FULL ON migraine! What the?!? Good thing for portable t.v.'s cuz while we were parked on the side of the road while my tunnel vision subsided the boys were fully entertained by Alvin and the Chipmunks. I call to whine and tell my hub and he surprises me by leaving work early, grabbing the boys lunch, and taking them for the rest of the day so I can sleep and do hair in SILENCE! WHAT THE?!?! (what a hunka burnin love!)
Ok I have to go do my hair for our hens and chicks party tonight so that when I get there everyone doesn't think.... WHAT THE?!?!

YAY or NAY?!?

So I decided a few months ago that I was going to go ahead and get EXTENSIONS! I have been growing my hair out for 2 months now and it is almost to my shoulders. Well, now I am having second thoughts! My friend Meg's says to do it fo sho! Then my mom says No Way! So I am wondering what you all think?? Please even if we aren't wicked tight pals, leave your opinion! I really want some input on this plan of mine!!
Here are some of the pro's and con's that I have come up with.....
+I am 30 and this may just be the last time for me to have long hair!
-Short hair is in style
+I can pull it up into a nice thick pony
-Take longer to do it, when I do it
+I can feel pretty
-I have had them before, (it was artificial and they sucked!)
+For a drastic change
-Someone asked me what my hair looks like styled the other day! (growing stage sucks)
+My friend Meg's does them fantastic!
-It might not suit me. (looks and personality)
+Only lasts a few months if no likey
-Only lasts a few months if I likey
As you can tell I am having some serious back and forth issues with this... not that big of a deal I know and so very vain BUT please, what do you think??

If pictures would be helpful I will add some later on.. I have a little monkey on me begging for "PBSkids.ord" After he is done playing Curious George and Caillou I will find some pics to post.

Jump On It!

So while we were in Utah we thought that since it had been such an adult trip we would do something fun for the kids. Of course they were begging for Chuckee Cheese so we went there. Uhh Saturday night there in Orem Utah, not a good idea. (couldn't even find a seat) So then we remember a place that my sister in law told me about Kangaroo Zoo. Couldn't find that one SO we decided to check out Jump On It. Not really knowing what to expect we went there (you can see it off the freeway in lindon but it is a beast to get to!)
So we went and the second their little feet hit the tramp they were in love! If you live in the area or are in the area and have kids check it out! It was fun and friendly and not too smelly! It was a perfect way to get out some energy for our next day road trip back home.

It also had a bunch of those blow up jumping cage things with a slide ect. I think the best part for me, was watching this dad/guy jumping for a full hour with a GRIN on his face and loving life! His daughter was flying sky high cuz he kept jumping around and over her. She couldn't of been over 3. Anyways, good times!

They were begging for a drink at the end of it with their sweaty little heads.
check out a little of what we videoed there... crazy kids! I am bummed that I didn't get any of Cole's attempted back flips and no hand flips on camera, but if you were at Aunt Ellen's tonight, you got the picture!!

a MILLION calories....

I am not even joking about that either.... As you all know we went down to Utah last week for the big wedding and I am not quite sure what happened but for some reason I was on FULL FEED! Seriously, it was like one rich greasy hefty delicious meal after another!! There was no limitations and if there was I didn't get the memo! Not that any of you care but I am going to share with you a 48 hour intake....
Johny Carino's- grilled panini, bowl of minestrone and the BEST artichoke spinach dip I have ever met! Not to mention their fantastic bread and the toasted garlic oil stuff.... (i went the distance!)
Rumbi Grill- I wanted something light since we had such a MASSIVE lunch.... that was until I saw the menu and my heart decided to go for the Pork luau rice bowl with the teriyaki sauce. I thought "hmmm I know! I will get the family size instead of the small and the boys will share with me and it will be a one stop shop!" Nope! the boys wanted nothing to do with it, so again I WAY over at. (i didn't actually finish it in case some of you were worried)
Chef's Table- I am NOT even going to go into what I ate at Lisa and Todd's luncheon cuz the list was sooo long and divine that Jenny Craig may call and ask me if I could sponsor them. Everything was just soaked in goodness and the food made ya feel rich. Not even going to lie to ya, it was insane and absolutely delectable!
Cafe Rio- of course that had to shimmy its way in there some how. I have to say though, I didn't even eat half of my salad cuz either A. I was too full from my last few feedings. B. I didn't order what I usually do. C. I need to take a Rio break
Costa Vida- I am not their BIGGEST fan BUT I am a FAN of their chicken nachos. Slicked those babies up! (with help from Lane)
Noodles- I decided to go with something other than the good ol Wisconsin mac and cheese. The crusted chicken something er other. Good but definitely going back to mac&cheese.
Strange post I know... but when anyone asks me if we had a good time in Utah or what we did.... this is seriously what comes to mind.. all the food cuz for some reason it NEVER stopped!
So this is me, telling all of you, NO MORE! no more ordering and going buck wild and pretending that I will go jogging tomorrow. No more aah we are on vacation it doesn't matter!
It starts today.... I am going to lose the 12 pounds I gained in a two day period...so wish me luck!!
