Tuesday's Treasures. 40 years ago(that I cannot believe) a young country girl left a little town and went to the BIG City.
she learnt how to look after sick people and hold the hands of those who were going to lose someone special.
After a while she got married and left the big smoke for a lovely coastal town but due to sick children and the need for a much better hospital moved back. Don't I live in a beautiful city????
We may have some undesirables at times ---but the views are beautiful.
Australia's Capital is a real treasure and I love living here.

I am sorry the clock picture was not a good one. Busy days now. Spring weather is here so lots to be done in the garden. Took William out to garden area while I weeded . So lovely to see the world through the eyes of an 8mth old. He loves any sort of movement, did not even notice poor old grandma in pain as she whacked her poor arthritic fingers with the secateurs. This is my favourite chook. I cannot get rid of her so I am happy to have her just there as my "think tank". I have to get some more hexagons done today. Such a portable craft, can be taken any where. Hope all is well out in Blogger land.

Tuesday's treasures :do we really appreciate our treasures.? On Saturday we lost a big tree.It fell into our neighbour's place and crushed 2 of the family's cars. It was a dreadful day . Rain and horrible driving wind. My dh and neighbour cleaned and cut and sawed all afternoon. I appreciate what they did but spare a thought for these men and women. They got to our place 6 hours after it happened. There were about 400 trees that fell that day. these SES had a very busy weekend. Father's day was probably missed. I am thankful that they were out and about. they are treasures that don't often get remembered .

Wednesday was a very special day for some ladies on the craft forum. Some of us took part in an apron swap and it was opening day. With much rustling and tearing I opened mine to find a lovely reversible pinny. The colors are lovely and it is going to be so useful as when I cook I always grub myself.
My darling rugby playing 13yo is modelling the one I made for Mary. Calico and lace and alovely gingerbread themed trim. I think it was a great swap.
