Is lyn my little ang gu kueh?

This is a long overdue post that I promised cheryl I'd do. So, here goes!


Can see which one is me??(click to see bigger pic) I seriously think I look quite cute in here. This is my nanny(奶妈) and her family! So all my non-blood relation cousins and grandparents are here! My 'grandpa' dotes on me most among all his grandchild. Tho I do not have blood relations with him, my angbao is forever the biggest every CNY. When he died, my nanny refused to let me wear the mourning clothes coz its bad luck for me, but I insisted and every one said I shld be allowed to, coz he loved me most.


My nanny holding me!!! I just realised this was taken when I was 4 years old! We had a huge kampong birthday celebration for grandpa. Thats him showing his gold tooth!


We were at a chalet.. and I fell down. Hence the grouchy look and the purple lotion-ed knees. I remember fondly that my elder 'cousins' caught loads of small little baby crabs and laid them all on the stairs right up to the chalet on the 4th storey. I was in tears when I saw the crabs moving around and my other cousins run up and left me alone. I stepped on all of them to make my way up to the house, so they cant hurt me, but I was crying so hard. My nanny scolded the elder cousins for scaring me, tho I was not their intended victim. I remembered they were disappointed and angry at me coz I killed all the crabs and they cannot sabo others anymore.

After the rain.

A perfectly arched rainbow on Wed! It was so clear and pretty. Instantly lifts up my mood and somehow made me feel happy and relaxed. Been stressed with work, holiday n the hse.

We're moving!

And nope! Not to Centris, but somewhere in West Coast. Location is pretty inconvienient if one do not drive, but we like it for its serenity and size of the estate.
We penned our signatures on the dotted line yesterday. Will be able to shift in as soon as July!

Been Busy

I have been pretty caught up lately. Work to do, ridiculous emails to reply, alot of reading up on italy, alot of reading up for day trips, and alot of reading up on hotels to choose. On top of this, still have to fret over our new place. We are still undecided over the centris. We have since widen our choice to west coast as well and will be checking out their showflat soon, Too many things happening at once, and its driving me crazy. Hope after the trip, things will fall into places on their own. I have many pics to post but no time to crop. Till then!

ps: its my 7th wedding anniversary today!

Random nonsense.

It was daddyhan's birthday yesterday, and I booked a roof garden suite at siloso beach resort. The place wasnt too shabby, but somehow, 'being close to nature' -the hotel's theme- meant alot of insects lor. There were tiny red ants crawling at our pool decks occasionally and this morning, I even saw a baby centipede disappearing inbtwn the gaps of the wooden decks! Overall, the atmosphere of the place is great, coz its facing the beach and the outdoor jacuzzi with glowing led lights facing the sea is really nice and relaxing.
Ning had a really great time and she didnt cry nor misbehave. I heard that kids will somehow feel unsettled in a new place but she was fine. She did looked a little confused when she woke up from her nap to see herself in a new enviroment, coz she kept turning her head around to take in the room, but after that initial min, she got up on the bed n started prancing on it. Hehe. I guess we shld be fine in italy too.
Yes. Italy! Our trip is cfm! Will be heading for a 2 weeks tour to italy! Will be stopping at athens for 3 days 1st, as daddyhan wants to visit his customer/frd -the one whom have been buying lotsa expensive clothes for ning. Then, we'll take a flight over to milan, and continue our journey down to venice, florence and rome! I cant wait!!
Daddyhan is in batam now, attending a biz dinner, and I will be alone with the sweetie for the night. Guess I'll be seeing him tmr morning after my 2nd morning nap.(I normally go back to sleep after feeding ning her morning milk and wakey at 11plus again to feed the next. =p)

To the Bird park!!

Went to Jurong Birdpark on Monday since we can't go visiting. It was so much fun!
Both daddyhan and I probably had a much better time than the bub. I think she didnt enjoy the trip as much as the zoo's coz some of the birds are too small to be seen in their enclosures. The ones she enjoyed are the really huge ones, or those that came really close.


Gave her the empty packet and she was delighted! I think she looks so coy and sweet here. How the hell did I managed to have such a cute little gal?


Daddy forgot the buggy shade and put a cap on her instead. Surprisingly, she was alright with it! Doesnt she look kinda pudgy here? Still, she is oh-so-cute! =D


Offering the lion a cookie while daddyhan went home to pick up her buggy shade. I was nervous that she might freak out with all that clangings and the big furry head approaching her, as I didnt wanna miss the shot, but she was cool! So happy that I managed to took it.

She is such a daddy's girl now. She calls out to him all the time, in that high pitched cutesy voice. BaaBaaaaa.... or Daaadaaaa and she drags the 2nd syllabus in such an endearing way.
Hate it! Still waiting for her to call me and mean it. Now she'll only mum mum me if Im holding food. However, Im still the one she turns to when she is upset or when she wants comforting. I just wish she'll quickly call out to me in that same cutesy tone she use on her father.

Her stool is still loose and daddyhan commented we shld give her more porridge instead of milk cereal in the office. So this morning, at 5am, I cooked some porridge and left them in the thermal cooker for him to bring to work.
I was eager to know if the porridge is yummie and I kept bugging him with tons of smses.
Daddyhan prob got irritated with my endless qns and sent an mms which made my day.

Oh, I think our europe trip in march is pretty much cfm! Will be skipping Turkey tho. So will only be dropping by athens for 3-4 days and then to iiitaaali! Im so damm excited!

Expensive clothes again!

Daddyhan's customer/good frd from greece sent another set of clothes for ning as xmas present.
This time, its a pair of Diesel Jeans and Tee.
The jeans itself is worth 80+ freaking EUROS! The tee is around 30+ euro and it seriously looks like pasar malam stuff. Get this, its made in china. zzz
I'll never spent that kinda money on kiddy's clothes!

1st time he gave her a Ralph Lauren pants and hoodie.
2nd time he gave her a pretty white silk dress which cost 80 euros.
Then it was a ELLE knitted dress, which is around that price too.
When he came over to SG, he bought her a Guess mini skirt and tee.
Now, the Diesel set.

Tho uncle Sagris is always buying ning clothes, they have not met yet. The last time he was in SG, I had a huge fight with daddyhan, so naurally, they did not get to meet coz I refused to even talk to daddyhan, much less go out for dinner together.
However, we might be seeing him soon, as daddyhan have plans to visit greece after his trip to turkey..which might be soon! Then, we'll head off for the much awaited holiday in italy. I hope we'll make it this time as Im dying to have a proper holiday as a family.
I hope its not just all talks again.

Boo boo at work

Lyn had a deep cut on her left index finger yesterday.
It happened in the office when MIL was preparing her milk. She found a piece of broken glass on the floor, which was from the jar she broke some weeks back. Dun ask me why the broken glass was still in the room.
MIL, upon seeing the bub holding the piece of glass in her hand, panicked. We do not know what happened, but assumed she must have pulled the glass out of her clutch, thus, resulting in the cut which is almost as long as the finger itself.
When daddyhan called to inform me of the news, I was still in dreamland. I literally jumped off the bed, and started screaming down the phone hysterically. When he came to pick me up to the PD's office, lyn who was seated quietly in the carseat immediately held out her finger to me n cry. So heartbreaking to see her like that!
In the clinic, the PD pressed on her finger so hard to stop the bleed and she was crying so loudly and pitifully. She literally screamed herself hoarse and it was a struggle to hold her down. The look in her eyes was fearful and they pleaded for some intervention. It was really very very heartbreaking to see her in pain.
The wound is 2-3mm deep and one can imagine how deep that is for a little finger like hers. On top of the pressure press, the PD also massaged n pried open the wound alittle to check and make sure no foreign objects remain inside the wound. That must have hurt like hell.
Tissue glue was applied twice, coz the 1st application didnt held on fast. After dressing was done, I stood up and lyn immediately waved byebye to the PD. We all broke out into laughters. She must have been dying to leave the room.
So far, all is well now, but she still hold up her finger n whine every now and then.




Good news for yesterday was, my shipment of Crocs came in, and I think they made a packing mistake coz I found an extra pair of the minnie jane I ordered! Woot!

Zoo trip!

Its been donkey years since we went to the zoo. Extremely excited abt it, daddyhan went ahead with our trip on saturday despite a little toe injury.

Her new tent.

Bought her a Elmo hideaway tent from the toys r us sale last week but was dissapointed to find out it does not comes with a base. However, after seeing how much she enjoys hiding inside, I decided to get her a ball pool. The only thing that kept me from getting it so far is, ning does not enjoy ball pools at all. In fact, I think she is afraid of it! She'll always whine when we put her into one at gogo bambini or fidgets.


Its a cute little hut! I cannot resist this design at all and had to get it.

She likes the little hut so much that she sits in it all night and refuses to come out. This morning, she woke up, removed the sleeping bag herself and went inside the tent to play. So cute.
