Landon's new abilities!

Of course he's still a little camera shy and didn't kick like crazy, like he normally does. Little stinker!

2 months old

Landon turned 2 months on Sunday. My sister Emma keeps asking how old he is now and she can't believe it takes a whole month to turn 3 months old. Gosh!

We had his doctor's appointment today to get his vaccines. Good gracious I was nervous, but the nerves will be my constant companion because we had to delay the vaccines since he's sick. Poor little guy has a cough, congestion, watery eyes, etc. We didn't find out if it's RSV or not, but I don't think it is and we go back next week for him to get checked and to get his shots. I'll probably have a harder time than him.

We have a long, skinny boy. I think his cheeks are still half his body weight.

He rubs his eyes a lot, loves his new Newborn Rocker, loves his mobile, still cries when any meal is over (he likes to eat), loves his binky, hates the cold, loves to stand when mad or alert, loves to cuddle when sleeping, and hates to get his boogers sucked out.

Pure Joy

Sorry everything is about our little one, but his grandpa requested some pictures. These were taken today








Landon "discovered" himself today. His swing has a mirror in the mobile and when he awoke from his nap today, he stared at himself in the mirror and smiled and talked to himself for quite awhile. What a cutie!

My little guy

While we were in California, we had some photos taken of Landon on the day he turned 6 weeks.
Once again he decided to not be too happy when we were taking photos, but we think he's such a cutie! The first LOTS of pictures are taken in the gown that Chris and his dad both wore when they were babies and his grandma made it. The blue crocheted outfit was made by my grandma for Landon. The last outfit was the outfit Landon wore for his blessing. The naked pictures were funny. He did NOT want his legs tucked under him. After each picture I would pose him and then I would jump out of shot and she would take the picture as fast as possible before his legs popped out.

You're probably sick of baby stuff, but what the heck?! I just got an email about top 100 baby names for 2011. Guess which name is number 20...Landon! Dang it. We picked his name because we thought it was unique and not "popular".

Sorry, we claimed the name.

Simple Things

Little Landon is 7 weeks old today. Whoa! I keep aging him by thinking he's 2 months old and he's not. I feel like I'm making him grow too fast, which I definitely don't want! The little guy has definitely filled out over the last week or so. Those legs are getting some chub! He loves to kick, move his arms, smile, coo, and "sing".

Sleeping and eating. Seems like 2 simple things, right? Heck no if you're Landon and 1.5 months old. Still working on those. I feel like my life would feel much more calm and simple if we could get a handle on him sleeping and eating "normally". Eating would be simple if I'd give up breastfeeding and go straight to formula. I felt like I was poisoning my baby the first time he had formula. Now it's a regular thing and I hate it.

Just watched "Happiest Baby on the Block" and hopefully our baby will soon be that and that we'll all get some sleep every once in awhile.

Good thing this guy is SO dang cute! Especially when he sees me and smiles and talks and giggles. LOVE it! He's also a little camera shy. Every time the video camera comes on...he freezes and stares at the camera.

I can't believe how big he is getting!





I missed his biggest smiles due to a full memory card, but this was pretty good!
He actually enjoyed his bath today too! Geez I love the smell of baby bath products...
