IMU held its annual Art Competition over the last few weeks with sections like Painting, Poetry and Photography being submitted and posted up in the Atrium (yes, the Atrium, quite like NJC's one actually...). There was also the Kolam (Rangoli or Indian rice floor mural) competition and I joined, forming a group of 4 people. Haha, and guess what? We won! (first time using this virtual emotion) *beams with pride ala Xing Loong* The final draft The finished kolam For those who are still trying to decipher what in the world you're looking at, its a peacock and phoenix (NOT a CHICKEN, which many people thought it was) intertwined. I also had to come out with a narration of the kolam to fit the theme of the competition (Reflection). More about that on my blog post soon. Haha, I still cannot believe we won! *beams with pride* Damn, that emotion is getting addictive... Nice not? Nice not? PS Sorry, photo quality's a bit bad... Will get better ones for my post on week 6!

Shoutout from SYDNEY!!

Hello!! My 2 week break just ended and i spent a week in SYDNEY! Guess what i did there?? (or rather, who i met) Hee hee hee... Was pretty gruelling trip heading up there- 11 hours train ride, in a SEAT! AaAagh.. mostly due to the fact we turned our seat the other way round and couldnt turn it back later on cos the ppl in front of us had reclined their seats and were fast asleep already. So, a helpful hint for future train passengers -DONT chANGE the Position of your seats if ur in for a long ride! 6 of us went, all of them my coursemates. 3msian, 2 sgs, 1 south african. What did we there? LOtSA shopping [ i bought 3 pairs of shoes!], BEach!, meeting PPl[n a certain dove- eh how was GOld coast?!] and FOod! Some pics from the trip.. The 6 of us at the Bondi Beach - BIG wAVEs!! Shopping spree!! - its a Loong! Darling Harbour - Pada pa pa Pa! Im Lovin' it! Heh, got to see more of .. uh, the femenine side of XL as there were more iNstresting photos n videos available on laptop.. hee hee. Xing Loong showed me ard his place, International House as well, and im sad to say, Sydney's IH better than Melbournes one lar!! and its cheaper too! Just imagine, they have a rooftop courtyard thing where they have nice wooden chairs and tables and a tv. The night i visited, they were having some party there too.. and the Hot CHOcolate drink Dispenser - NOT FAIR XING LOONG!! but oh well.. . was a FUnfUn trip. Back to assignments now.
