5 things some of you know about eva...but some don't

1. i learnt indian classical dancing and was a stage performer from the age of 10....btw,no gyrations involved and no butt/hip shaking. however, i can't dance naturally...if you play music and say 'dance', i freeze.

2. i actually was into sports...lol but that is far from evident now (note to self: eva pls get through napfa). i played hockey and tennis but i represented my school and zone for hockey only. i startedplaying competitively at 14 but stopped at 16 due to a hairline fracture (location: ankle) that causes me hell everytime i jog/run/sometimes when i walk. i also own a balck belt in tae kwan doe (note to all reading this: eva is a person of peace...otium!...)

3. i have a cracked ankle (refer to2. haha) that prevents me from ever playing sports again and almot jeopardised my dance life. its probably gonne last a few more years...can't operate on it since its not broken enough...body can't fix it quick coz its too broken. luckily i finished the power test (i.e. breaking planks test) before the injury was sustained...btw i can get exemption from napfa haha (ooooh asonansi...or shd i assonance)

4. i never wanted to talk until the age of 3, eventhough i could, causing my parents to worry that i was autistic (now my dad complain that i can never shut up....i'm sure all you guys disagree with that :p). i was also extremely antisocial until somewhere in primary school. In kindergarten, i was unfriendly and rascist to boot (i didn't want to mix with tamil speaking indians coz through some infantile misconception i believed myself to be english... hey i wasn't the only one, alex pleas guilty to the same charge)

5. i had a yellow felt rhino stuffed with hypo-allergenic fibres (which is what made it the only stuffed/furry toy my asthma-strained childhood allowed). it was named fufu and now fufu is dead coz my brother threw it away. ok, he wasn't being evil, fufu had a whole in his heart( or so i'd like to believe....it was just a giant whole in the tum) but i still didn't forgive him. i was violent to him for throwing fufu (at the me-malu-fying age of 7) and destroyed his spiderman colouring book. he was decent and just screamed for my mum...haha...i don't like stuffed toys anymore (unless they're cute and squishy or soft and textured....like monty-xing loongs s-naked snake or colourful or ...ok i still don't mind them) and i'll never own a squishy-yellow-velvety-rhino again...man i'm still bitter.fufu, i dedicate this in your loving memory...lol its probably exam stress talking, not eva...sorry guys ( at the risk of sounding like 'hi guys', when i use the word 'guys' )

5 awful things you might not know about THE KIM

Hmmm, Elaine's come up with a great reason to post on mugtab. Guess all of us get bored at some point of our lives right? So here we go.....

  1. I just came back from China.

  1. I have a strange, disgusting habit or chewing on my nails since I was a boy. The only thing that stopped--no, rather halted or retarded this cannibalistic act was my picking up of the guitar. But the stress level in Singapore has sorta returned me back to the good ol’ days of nibbling my grime infested nails….Yummy!

  1. (N/A to my roommates; sorry guys!) I snore like a freaking monster. Yeah, really embarrassing to reveal this cause I’m really sympathetic to those who have to sleep with me. (Hmm….sounds damn….) My dad snores too. I guess its like a “father and son” thing. My sister was complaining like shit in Beijing when we had to share rooms. She wanted to put me with my dad so that we could out-snore each other. Hahah! Sorry sis. And sorry guys! Especially Xing Loong ‘cause I know you hate it when I snore and cuddle with ya at the same time. (Hey, maybe you all have already bitched about it behind my back so the rest should already know huh?)

  1. I’m always lonely. Maybe that’s why I like to flirt with girls. (With an exception of Xing the Loong) Hah, is it because I was born into a family with 2 female siblings? Or is it because I’ve been in a boys’ school since Form 1? Not sure about that.....All I know that there is a big part in me that is kinda feminine (Hmm….sounds even more…..) so making decisions (like buying stuff) will require a lot of time-wasting on my part as well as others. So hate me now or forever hold your piss, Carynl and Elaine.

  1. Believe it or not, I actually like Malay. By reading this I’m sure every single one of you will be like “What the #$@% is wrong with this faggot?” When I was young a long long long time ago, I used to enjoy reading Malay novels. There was also a point in the previous century when this twenty-year-old actually enjoyed listening to Indonesian songs. Now you Malay-mates of mine in NJ will understand why I decided to retake Malay AO. Kinda regret it though, Malay in Singapore is really like dunno what. Who the hell uses “Goyang Lutut” ? Asses.

Guys, I’m way behind schedule for my “Personal Study Scheme” for NJC’s dreaded Common Test II. (Hell, I tried my best to pick up a book during my trip - an awesome awesome trip!) And I’ve got the pictures to prove it. Y’all will know what I’m talking about once I’m back.

5 things i bet u didn't know about carynl

1. i have this pink, heart-shaped pillow which has been mine since i was a baby. my older brother, danny, has the other one. both are identical and were given to my parents as a gift when they got married. its case is supposed to be embroided but the embroidery has come out after all these years of washing (my pillow is still clean!). and it's not so fluffy anymore but i love it and can't seem to go to sleep easily without it. i have to cover my ears with the heart-shaped pillow when i sleep. that, or i'll put it on my forehead. something with a little weight has to be on my head for me to go to sleep easily. and my stomach too. i'll either cover myself with the comforter, or put a pillow on my stomach. i feel more secured that way. (poor kid here, insecurity issues)

2. i used to like pink a lot when i was younger. i had my father paint my entire room, from the staircase leading up to my room, pink when i was eight. it was our new house back then. a single-storey, but there's an additional space upstairs, like an attic, and it was my room. rather spacious actually. i loved it. the furniture inside were all pink too. the dressing table, the bed, the desk, the stool, the wardrobe... oh, and that room's door was only as tall as the length from the ground to my waist now if i'm standing. haha, cool huh? so many visitors knocked their heads climbing up.. hohoho:) but i'm not so crazy bout pink now... i more in love with green now, so mum says i'm an envious person (i don't disagree actually). besides that, any combination of colors that look nice goes for me.

3. i hate reading. really. when i see books that are very thick, it turns me off. so when i see long blog entries, like bryan's, i get turned off too. no matter how well i know the writer writes, i just don't like to read. in my attempts to encourage myself to read, i've tried biographies. and i fnd them alright, because i know i'm not wasting my time reading fiction. i like real stuff. real sad stuff especially, like the Princess trilogy (a biography about a Saudi princess). i love pictures. colors. neat and relatively short paragraphs, numberings, bulleting... saves a great deal of time in reading.

4. i'm extremely choosy when it comes to food. i usually only eat chicken. i rarely take beef and mutton. actually, i cannot remember the last time i actually took beef and mutton, if i ever have. i just think they stink. i'm picky when it comes to pork, i only take certain dishes, like char siew. i have a sweet tooth. i LOVE cakes and have eaten cakes at secret recipe for a week's lunch before. choc cakes are the best, esp with mint. cheese cakes don't go very well with choc in my opinion, it's too rich. oh, i have grown to rather dislike soft drinks. they make you feel very full so i only take sips.

5. like elaine, i can't stand people who cannot decide, especially guys. although i may have leadership qualities, it annoys me sometimes to always have to lead. i think i am getting bored of it after all these years. it's especially annoying when guys ask "where to for lunch?" 'cos perfectionist me would rather be asked, for example, "NYDC for lunch, are you okay with it?". haha, then if i say "erm, nah...", then that guy has to start thinking about another place and ask again. lol... i'm demanding. yes, i am. of course, i'm not so mean as to treat all my guy frens like that, right? but, i really really admire and enjoy being in the presence of a girl or guy who can lead me and make me feel secured and comfortable (like who doesn't?).

so, that's 5 things about me. thanks elaine, i really like this idea... quite cool.

Cinq choses je vous parie n'a pas su de Brian

5 things I bet you didn't know about Brian.

1. I have a Big Blue Bunny. It's a memento of my childhood which I still keep at home. Sometimes just to kick around. Ok, I'm not that cruel.

2. I am left-handed. A lot of people still don't know that. It's always left-handers who notice other lefties first and remember. All it takes is just noticing someone writing with their left hand while doodling during a boring lecture and that person is automatically special. Sorry, right-handed people. We understand each other like you wouldn't believe. You don't get dogged at the dinner table like we do.

3. I have myopic vision but I don't wear any visual aids. Really. Lots of people forget that I am slightly short-sighted, enough to make facial recognition a pain at moderate distances. I refuse to wear glasses because my eyelashes are too bloody long and always mess the lenses up. And I'm just too lazy to get contacts. So I recognize by gait and stride. Don't complain if I don't notice you; I really didn't see you.

4. I have nothing but contempt for people who display anger. I think it's weak if you can't control yourself enough to not let on the fact that people have managed to worm through your cool and get to you. We all get angry of course. But you don't have to show it. And you don't have to act on that anger, especially when really the dumbest things you could possibly do always sound quite reasonable in the heat of anger. Angry people do stupid things. I hate stupid people. Business gets messed up and the rest of us have to pick up the pieces after that.

5. I am annoyed by people who are very conservative. Maybe it's just a liberal debator's nature, but I hate it when someone refuses to at least consider other people's ideas. If you can't think of a real argument to justify your stand, just get the hell out of the way.

5 things I bet you didn't know about Elaine

I had to post something. So here is it. The list we've all been waiting for.

(not in order of importance)
1. I love high heels. yeap, despite my height, i love high heels, be it stilettos, kitten heels, nice pumps, or wedges. Not that I have a lot of them, but I still do love them very much.

2. I have scoliosis. Yeap, my spine's curved to my left slightly. That's why my shoulder blades are unevenly stuck out. But no worries, nothing big. It's just a very minor case.

3. I love shades of orange, reds, browns, and green. Yay! My current favourite is the forest-y combination of musty brown and forest green. Or teal just by itself.

4. People who don't know where they're heading towards in life, or are without a passion or a goal, sometimes annoy me. (yeap, andrew. I actually am quite like you in this sense.) Please, learn to lead your own life!

5. I'm really a hopelessly hopeless romantic. I love families. I believe in dreams and ideals, though I'm fully aware of the need to be realistic. So what? I can still dream.

Yay! feel free to contribute to this pool of 'I bet you didn't know' junkyard.
I mean, all of us do need a break from studying, don't we?
