Satuday's Practice

To all sec 1(those involved in mayday),sec 2 and sec 3 band members: Please be reminded that you are supposed to wear uniform,lower sec in white short pants,upper sec in white long pants, and report to band room by 9.20am SHARP! Since practice will be starting later than usual, I don't want to see any late comers or the whole band will be punished! All Sls please help to ensure that.Thank you.

Please take note that we have changed the attire for the MAY DAY slightly as we do not have enough Marching pants for everyone.

The MAY DAY Attire will be as follows:
1. Marching Blazer
2. School White Long Pants
3. School Belt
4. White shoe
5. Black Plain T-Shirt
6. White socks

So it should look like this for May Day Performance:



All SLs, please take note that you will need to inform ALL your section mates who are involved in the MAY DAY performance for this.

Saturday, 30th April 2011.
Sec 1s - 3s (who are involved in May Day), Please report at 9.30AM. Sec 4s: Please report at 1PM. Settle your own lunch before you come.

For Sunday reporting time, we will announce it on Saturday.

ALSO, I WOULD LIKE EVERYONE TO BRING THEIR NOTES WITH THEM TO READ DURING THESE 2 DAYS. THERE MIGHT BE SOME WAITING TIME OR FREE TIME. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE EVERYONE TO BRING THEIR NOTES SO THEY CAN STUDY.

ALL BAND TEACHERS WILL BE THERE TO HELP YOU ALL IF YOU ALL HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.

23rd April 2011 Practice

All MSSB members,

Please take note you will need to wear & bring the following items for tomorrow's practice

Sec 2s - 4s (inclusive of those Sec 1s that involved in the MAY DAY performance)
1. PE Singlet
2. PE Shorts
3. Red Band Tee
4. Sneakers (if you don't have just wear some other shoe is that easier for you to move around)
5. Water Bottle
6. Towel (Optional)

Sec 1s.
1. Sec 1 orientation Shirt
2. PE shorts
3. water bottle

Everyone is to reach band room by 7:50 AM and we will start taking attendance at 8:00 AM SHARP!

Latecomers will be punished.

20th April 2011 Practice

NOTIFICATION FOR TOMORROW'S PRACTICE:
Sec 4s will report to Band room from 2 to 3pm then go to stadium for 2.4km run.

Sec 3s will attend the full session of Band from 2 to 6.30pm and take 2.4km run next Tuesday with the Lower Sec students.

Sec 1 and 2s as per normal practice.

SLs please kindly informed ALL those involved in the Mayday performance.

Sports day & Saturday Rehearsal

Hi All,

Please take note of the following information.

Friday Sports Day

Reporting Time: 1040 for Lower sec (Please eat your lunch first then report to band room)
1120 for Upper sec (Please eat your lunch first then report to band room)

Attire: RED MSSB BAND TEE & PE shorts
(Please wear your BAND TEE & PE shorts to school directly! those taking part in any events, please bring along your house tee.)

Reporting time: 750
Attire: BLUE MSSB Shirt + PE Shorts
Sec 1s Please wear your orientation shirt with PE Shorts

Please inform this Saturday band practice is for ALL sec 1s to Sec 4s. SLs, EXCOs (Both 3s and 4s) Please remind your sec 1s that there will be Practice this saturday from 8 o clock onwards.

I am warning all of you here: I do not want to see any latecomers (inclusive of sec 1s) on Saturday practice.

Singapore Youth Festival 2011

On 5th April 2011, Maris Stella Symphonic Band participated in the Singapore Youth Festival 2011 and achieved the Gold with Honours award.

We would like to thank everyone who has helped MSSB in one way or another for this great achievement. We would continue to excel in music playing and strive for excellence.

We will be releasing our SYF recording soon. For those who are interested, please refer back in a short while.

All MSSB members, ALL members (Sec 4s inclusive) are supposed to be present for Wednesday and Saturday practices. NOBODY is to be absent from practices as we are preparing for Sports day and May Day.
