Hi Guys (especially the sec 2s),
Before the commencement of the band camp, on behalf of the teachers, Mr Chiang and EXCO, I would like to make something clear about the upcoming Committee Interview. I do think there is a need to clear some stupid and very amusing rumours or hearsay.
1. Would I be excluded from any of the EXCO post if I miss the committee interview?
Ans: You won't be excluded from any of the EXCO post if you have the qualities. We have been monitoring ALL the sec 2s band members since the beginning of this year. From attitude towards band, playing, behaviours to sense of responsiblities and etc. Even if you do not present for committee interview, we have enough resources or information to determine whether you are fit to be in this EXCO.
2. What is the committee interview for?Ans: For us to assess and for you to show your capibilities in problem solving and facing the crowd.
3. I heard that ALL the EXCO posts have been confirmed. I don't any chance anymore.Ans: I am rather amused when I heard this. If we have confirmed everything, we do not need to sacrifice our sleeping time to interview the sec 2s. If all these have been set and confirmed, we can jolly well announce it to all of you now. Is there even a need for us to sit down and discuss and keep everything until now? We can just jolly well post it on the blog now! Use your brain.. use your brain... use your brain!!
4. Some of my peers are trying their best to be good with some of the EXCO, Teachers, Fredy or Mr Chiang. They will stand a higher chance / they will definitely get certain posts!
Ans: I am just freaking amused with this. Moreover, those people who spread this use the word "SUCK UP". I would like those people who spread this to ask themselves whether they "suck" in the first place. If you have the time to make up all these, why not spending this amount of time to play and improve on your instrument or study or maybe go and play games?
I would like to make this point very clear, NO MATTER how good they are with us, we are going do this fairly. Everyone stands an equal chance. If you don't have the qualities, you would not get what you want. If some of you still think, some people are good with me so they will get certain exco post, let me prove it to you that whatever you think is 101% wrong! Unless that person has the qualities to be in the EXCO and fit for that particular post, if not no matter how good he is with me/us, it will also be useless!
I seriously think it is time for these people to grow up and think! You all think this committee interview is hoax? Please... THINK!! USE YOUR BRAIN! USE YOUR BRAIN! USE YOUR BRAIN!
5. I wanted to be BM but I heard that they have confirmed the majors posts so I stand no chance. I shall just tell them I want to be secretary instead. Ans: HELLO? Are you right in the mind? If you don't tell us you want to be BM and prove it to us, how are we going to assess you? Those people who think this way just show how LOW their self confidence are. If you do have such low confidence of yourself, you might as well don't try to fit/imagine yourself in the EXCO. In EXCO, we need people who can work well and have confidence in things that they do. Don't forget, if you become a Major, a small decision you make will affect the whole band greatly. If you are not confident of yourself, what makes you think the decision you make is going to be good and workable? Also if you are not confident of youself, how do you expect us to believe in you?
If you would like to a Major, just let us know during the interview, there are only that many people in the room. WHATEVER YOU SAID WILL BE KEPT SECRET! NONE OF US WILL SAY IT OUT UNLESS YOU SAY IT OUT YOURSELF! Whichever post you would like to get, just let us know, there isn't such thing as we have set the post and you already have no chance in getting that post. what kind of rubbish is this?

Seriously, I guess I personally have enough of all these rubbish so far. If you think this whole committee interview thing is a hoax or if you think we have already set all the posts, I welcome you to
OPT OUT from this interview. I don't see there is a need for us to care and even entertain these people. Since you have shown your lack of confidence in yourself, what for we give you an EXCO post? Please, don't waste our time.
For those who created those rumours, and spread around: I hope you can spend your time wisely and stop using your puny brain to think of all these rubbish that will make people give up on certain post so you stand a bigger chance for that post. Also, if you yourself have such low confidence of yourself, please do not go and affect others so as to make them the same as you!
For those who listened and believed in those rumours: Don't you have your own thinking? Do you really such low confidence in yourself? Give yourself more confidence! You want to be in that post, go for it. No point dwelling and whining about all these rumours you heard when in real fact all these rumours you have heard are like all FAKE? Don't fall into those trap set by people, when they only wanted lesser candidates for certain post so they can get that post with higher chance. I guess if you can get yourself into Maris Stella High School, you do have certain level of intelligence to think about all these. If everything can be settled so easily like what those rumours said, do we even need to spend our time in doing so much? So much trouble just to do one interview. Please kindly...
