Behaviour

Hi guys...
Today, you should all know how you have behaved in the band room. Think about it. All of you still carried on talking after the countless reminders from mr chiang to keep quiet. WHERE IS YOUR DISCIPLINE?!?!?!

Seriously, i do not wish to scold all of you. I know all of you do not like do be scolded. I personally do not wish to scold all of you too. However, you stubbornly continued to behave that way.
What do you expect me to do when you do not follow instructions? All of you please answer me. HOW SHOULD I REACT WHEN THE BAND CONTINUES TALKING DESPITE THE MANY WARNINGS RECEIVED? HOW SHOULD I DEAL WITH A BAND THAT HAS NO SELF DISCIPLINE? NOT SCOLD? NOT GET ANGRY?

Please reflect on your behaviour today. I know some seniors are teaching their juniors, but with that amount of noise everytime mr chiang stops? It is just unbelievable. You yourself should know how you behaved today! Do i have to personally scold the whole band myself before you will shut that big mouth of yours and stop talking? Is there really so many things to discuss?

Another thing to take note. I am utterly disappointed with some of the members for being late today. Ask yourselves. Can you accept this? The reason for being late is ridiculous!

"I went to eat."

WHAT KIND OF EXCUSE IS THAT! IT IS NOT EVEN A VALID REASON! Seriously, very disappointing. Think about it. If the seniors are doing it, the juniors will obviously learn from them and follow as well. Pretty soon, i will have more people doing this. The numbers will keep growing. Why cant you all just have the discipline to come for band practice ON TIME? What is so difficult about that? REFLECT! IS THIS THE RIGHT THING TO DO? IF IT ISN'T, THEN STOP IT ALREADY! BE PUNCTUAL! I do not wish to see the same 2 things happening again for future practices.

If the whole band has discipline, we will not waste so much time! We can start our practices EARLIER without taking the trouble to address to these problems. It will be so much more efficient! Everyone will be happy. You do not need to be scolded or shouted at. Isnt that good? I seriously hope you guys will change for the better.

Another reminder. There will be band practice on saturday, 29th August, 8am in the band room. SLs, please make sure your members are present for the practice. YOU should know why your member is not present and the reason BEFORE PRACTICE STARTS, not during practice. They must have a valid reason with either MC or parent's letter. And i repeat. BE PUNCTUAL!

See you guys

National Day Performance

Hi guys.
Thanks for cooperating with me, following the things that I asked all of you to do. The performance for the national anthem and the school song was not bad, but not very well done either. I hope all of you will take this as a lesson. Whenever there is sectionals, please concentrate and practise hard so that you will be able to play. I understand that sometimes all of you are very tired, so 1 or 2 breaks is/are allowed. However, I have seen sections who slack a lot and having a lot of breaks. I personally do not like and do not want to punish all of you in any way. So, please cooperate with the majors when we issue out instructions and make sure you guys do it. Will it be possible for you guys to do it? Now, just concentrate in improving yourself, so that you will not be a burden of the band.
Attendance is another big problem. Can all of you make sure you yourself come for every single band practice unless you have a valid reason? Can i trust all of you not to purpously skip band practices?(i know some of you are already doing that) If the band is able to cooperate, it will be much easier for the EXCOs, teachers and Mr Chiang. REMEMBER! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU MAKE UP THIS BAND! IT IS UP TO YOU TO EITHER BRING THE NAME OF MSSB UP OR DOWN!

Next band practice is on Saturday(tomorrow), 8th august, 8am-1pm. Remember, you are only excused if you have a valid reason. SLs, control your sections please!
See you then~
