Please read the contents of these websites as some of the content can be useful for you in areas like intonation and others. Please guys, you guys truly have to work harder for the upcoming performances so please try bring home your instruments and PRACTICE and not to collect dust! I believe none of you wants others to say "Wa lau, MSSB so lousy! The SYF judges judge them wrongly?" or other criticising remarks right? So please work hard! I believe we will sound good if all work hard.
Lastly, for those who have not written their names down on the name list for the orders of the Black Polo T-shirt, please do so by Saturday! (Those Sec 4 who are joining us, please tell your sec 3 SLs to help you put your names down. Thanks!

BAND PRAC!
Hi guys,
If you do not know, tomorrow will be the start of the band practice after the long break and i think there will be a scales test. Band practice: 18 June 2008, from 2-6pm. All please be present and spread this message to as many people as possible. Thanks!

Hi guys,
Did you guys enjoy yesterday's event!? I bet everyone did, especially Xing Hao ^^! Anyway, thanks for the $8 dollar fees because we had $52 dollars left and it went to the Band Fund. FINALLY, our Band Fund is going up! YAY!
Erm, overall the event was not really a success though because we didnt get what we wanted to do. :( . (Fredy you should know what!) But other than that the event went well. There was an X-Box that was like connected to a projector and there was this table who were like Mahjong freaks who kept playing Mahjong! Then, we also get to play billiard for like 5h straight and those who enjoyed were hooked in the game! Here comes the crazy part... THERE WAS KARAOKE!!! Everyone in that were like on drugs and they kept singing and singing and singing and some were screaming and yelling!!!(Xing Hao was the rock star that night)! ARH! Crazy people! I think the security guard was also like dam shock when they started screaming not only the lyrics but vulgarities! The problem comes at the first part of the event when all were in the function room chatting and playing games and stuff, when i was at the BBQ pit getting my hands black!
Also, there was an incident but I think i shouldnt say how, but this was the result: His Ring finger(right hand) was totally bandaged! How can like that! How are you going to play your trumpet!?(By now, you all should know who because only 1 trumpeter was present that night!)
Those who didnt come, its your bad luck that you missed it! It was definitely better than the Games day, so all of you should have come for the event!
This is just to specially thank Lucas and his family for their help and support fot the event.

This will be the last announcement I am going to make about the BBQ 2008. Here goes: Time to assemble is changed! I think we reach there at 12pm because i am afraid it would be too early for Lucas and their family. So, those who have bought the food please come at 12pm. The rest need not come if you guys are not bringing any food. Those who have bought the food and ingredients please come at 12. Thanks!
Lastly, can someone please contact the flute section to come, because I currently dont have their number. So, someone please help me. Thanks! EVERYONE PLEASE SPREAD THIS MESSAGE Thanks!

Band Dinner
Hi guys again, (This is the latest updated one, so please read again)
I am posting stuff for the 2nd time today lol. OMG. This is about the Band dinner. Well its kind of a BBQ now. So all please read this carefully. ^^
Things to bring: $8 (to pay for the food and other stuff) and food(bring what your section is supposed to bring)
Note: 1.Try not to bring expensive electronic devices as we are not accountable for any
missing phones etc.
2. You are free to wear anything. PLEASE DON'T WEAR SCHOOL UNIFORM AND BAND T-SHIRT
3. Please be punctual or earlier.
Purposes: To have fun
RULES: THERE ARE NO RULES! SO JUST GET YOURSELF WILD!
Place held: Lucas' House.
Date: 16 June (Monday)
Time: 6pm-10+pm
Address: Yio Chu Kang Road
Name of Condominium: Seasons Park
Bus Services to Lucas house: 163, 825 and 855
Nearest MRT station: Yio Chu Kang
There will be games and food. But, this will require everyone's help so please cooperate. Thanks guys!
Things to bring(food):
1. Flute: Marshmellow (abt 10 packets)
2. Clarinet: Chicken Wings (abt 15 kg in total)
3. Double reeds: soy sauce(2 bottle), pepper(2 bottle), tomato sauce(2 bottle), chilli sauce(2 bottle), butter(3), brush(2), tongs (4), alum foil (2 rolls), satay sticks( abt 400 )
4. Saxophone: Satay(Chicken and Pork only, some cant eat beef) (100 chicken and 100 pork)
5. Trumpets: Sting Ray (5 stingrays. Buy the fins only.)
6. F.Horns: Drinks (buy different variety about 3 bottles of each variety)
7. Euphonium: Crab stick (abt 20 packets)
8. Trombone: Sausages (abt 20 packets)
9. Tuba: Prawns (abt 3 kg medium sized)
10. Percussion: Plates, cups, fork/spoon, charcoal, matchsticks and fire starter etc. (Charcoal buy 4kg, fire starter 1 box, plates, cups and utensils please buy abt 200) wire gauze(2 big sized ones).
NOTE: KEEP YOUR BUDGET AS LOW AS POSSIBLE, Buy all raw food from supermarket with receipt.
Please keep the receipt for the items you purchased for the BBQ, so that we can refund you guys. Guys, this is a compulsory event, so all MUST be present unless with VR / MC. All Sec 4 please come too, if you are free! So, I will see you guys there!
To all Band members: Please help spread this message as "wide" as possible so that all members will come. Also, maybe bring a extra set of clothes and footwear too, just in case you get wet. I not sure whether you guys will get wet. Its not my idea. Its lucas'. >< Please come to Lucas house at about 10am, cos we have to marinate the food. Thanks!

Here to make announcement again... Boring... Here goes the announcement: There will be a Philwinds concert this Sunday(15 June 2008) at 1930h @ Esplanade. Tickets are at $6.80 after all discounts. Please try and go guys. Listen to professional bands and perhaps your tone may improve. So again, tell your sec 3 seniors if u want to go or sms me @ 97166359 or email me at jamesonggo1993@hotmail.com. Thanks.
Some have been asking on the blog: who is their new SLs. For now, take it as all your sec 3 seniors in respective sections are your SLs. This is because the new SLs have not been confirmed. Actually it does not matter who organise the outing, but all sec 3 please have the initiative to organise one! As long as your section have gone for an outing then you are safe
By the way, please make your Monday(16 June) evening free because of the dinner. There will be games, food and videos(our concert if possible). So please be there. Its compulsory anyway.

I want to tell you guys about the details for the dinner at Lucas' house. It will be on 16 June 2008, from 6pm-11pm at his house.
His address is: Yio Chu Kang Road, Seasons Park Condominium. Nearest MRT station: Yio Chu Kang and bus services to his house is: 855, 163 and 825. (If you don't know, check out the map, practice your map reading skills haha!) But i think there will be someone stationed at the MRT station to fetch those taking public transport to Lucas' house. By the way, this event is COMPULSORY to all members, unless those with a VR/MC.
Another thing: Please remember to have a COMPULSORY section outing and it must be proven with photos posted on this blog. Thus, respective SLs, please organise your own section outing. (Sections which are small(2-3 ppl) , may have a combined section outing with other sections.)
By the way, please thank Xing Hao and Joeseph for helping us to take pictures and videos on the games day.
