Muffin Pancake

This adorable young fellow informed me that if he could, he would make pancakes out of flattened muffins by cooking them for 100 minutes.

CORNfused

I went to a the corn maze in the Plains last weekend with my friend Todd. The corn wasn't nearly as high as it should have been. I suppose the fact that it hasn't rained in FOREVER might have something to do with it. The maze was also much smaller. It only took about an hour to go through. That was dissapointing. But hey, when you are having a drought and have to pick one field to water what can you expect? It was also really crowded. I'm sure the combination of it being a Sunday and 80 degrees in October, had an effect on the number of people. At points it felt like we were just following the leader. At one point a group of kids started following us, little did they know I was just as lost as they were! I had been to the maze before with a few friends and the corn was high and you really had to work to get yourself out. I still had to work to get myself out this time though. In fact, it was almost more frustrating because I could see the path I wanted to be on, but couldn't get there. Hmm... metaphor for life? Anyway, I thought I was a maze genius and had solved it in 15 min. at first, but really I had just walked myself back to the beginning without finding the exit. After a few more very agrivating circles we crossed the victory bridge and made it out. All in all it was still a great time. Plus it is always fun to take pictures!
