Let's put religion on the side as the subject would branch out enormously and we won't reach a concluding point.
I'm not just talking about those who flip cards or read your afternoon coffee sip, but those who reveal to you things that only yourself know and who actually state out the resoans as to what stands in the way between you and your desired goal.

If something was not right in your life, and I'm not talking about real life shortcomings such as failing an exam, losing a competition, breaking your marriage and so on, but I'm talking about things that keep occurring abnormally and outbreaks so vastly where people start questioning: WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER THIS IS NOT NORMAL!

This is where you realize that there IS something that ties your hand, blinds your eye, and keeps you from progressing.

Bottom line; do you think Al3ain, Alnafs wa Alse7er have those effects on the human life?

Al-dallal

Viva blocking torrent websites?

I just made the switch to Viva Internet from the good ol' rusty e-Go. Well actually it's not that good. It has been acting up real crazy lately disconnecting every now and then, that's aside from the vast slow browsing and low bandwidth services.

But i couldn't help but notice that most of the torrent sites that i normally use are blocked with Viva!!

I usually use Mininova until i noticed that most of the files that I've been looking for weren't uploaded (I mean who doesn't upload Desperate Housewives, Prison Break or One Tree Hill!!)
That's when i was hooked up with Demoniod and it went well for a while that is, until it got blocked!
I then turned to The Pirate Bay as a last resort and baam it's blocked too!!
In the end, i thought well then they couldn't possibly block Torrentz because it's a database web that links the searched file to multiple torrent websites ... but what do you know, it was blocked as well!!

I never thought Viva would start blocking websites this fast given their new launch! This is really disappointing. Now Hawalli should revive again :\ god i hate that place.

Work Work Work

So you remember my post Feeling Happy ..? here's what happened.

I was working at this miserable place for over 3 months:

The place was an hour away from my home, and as if that wasn't enough, i had to pay for the parking which costs around 400 fils a day! and if i got lucky that day and made it on time i would park in a shaded spot. It was loaded with work for an employee working in a position like mine which was extremely exhausting. My supervisor and i weren't on good terms so we would have a clash every other day. Dealing with customers there was uncommonly agonizing, tiresome and difficult due to the area in which the branch was located in. And the staff .......? what can i say, they were unsupportive, uncooperative, degrading hypocrites and every poor demeanour an employee could ever transmit to the working environment.

And so, i was desperately waiting for my previous manager to call me up and ask me to come back because i know how much he admires my working skills just as much as he knows that i got attached to his branch that i consider it my second home.

So he did! And i was head over heals when i heard him say that he would bring me back and i will be in his branch for sure. It was a call from heaven (Yes i was THAT attached ). We got the management's approval and we only had to wait for two weeks in order to have someone fill in my position so i can leave that obnoxious place.

I was in LaLa Land sooo pleasant created by my own hopes and joy jumping up and down.


Until i received the dreadful news two weeks later ....

That i would be transferred to a completely different third branch.

Why? our lovely area manager changed her mind and chose to mess everything up for me. We kept struggling for over a month to make her change her mind but she kept on refusing because she thought i was a valuable asset to her area that shouldn't be wasted. I mean for crying out loud, my KPI was in the red zone for 3 consecutive months, i had problems with private customers, i was the sole employee who lowered her area's KPI, so why should she need me? unless that's plain political hypocrisy just to serve the hidden agendas for future strategies, that's the only reason i can think of.

Now what are the ramifications?
My manager now will not wait for me any longer because his branch cannot stand shortage in staff. He tried his best and i could see the glare in his attitude for wanting to bring me back but there's nothing he can further do when my area manager is keeping on refusing to transfer me to a different area. He is definitely bringing someone else to fill my vacancy.

And the irony lies in the fact that she KNOWS that i brought Was6a to convince her to transfer me back to his branch yet she said no!! What the hell!!! Even with Was6a?!!!! And that was6a is her friend!!! This is clearly my bad luck interfering
She said it herself: "Ya kether was6atech bs ham maby anqelech" ....... grrrr

And now I'm at this new third branch and definitely stuck for good.

Now after 3 years of working at this field, i realized that banking is like football. And trust me, the employees definitely aren't the players rather than the ball.

My Mac gear + Camera

Ok I'm finally getting a grip of my Mac and I'm really enjoying it. And what made it more technologically interesting is that i bought the wireless keyboard and Logitech bluetooth mouse. Don't ask why i haven't bought the not-so-mighty wireless mouse. I'm still attached to the whole right click thing without the agony of pressing ctrl with it. Don't you just loooove technology?

Add to it the iPod touch. Yes yes I'm well aware that I'm far behind but it's just a beauty! I don't know how i completely ignored it in the past. I'm not a fan of MP3 players but this baby is definitely a winner. Although i still didn't use it for Internet, but I'm sure it will work perfectly fine, wont it?

Having said this, all that is left now is the new iPhone 3Gs and my Mac gear will be set. add to it Time Machine and MobileMe which i still haven't figured a way on how to use them ahem.

On the contrary, i finally laid a hand on a digital camera and boy it was love at first sight. I present to you:

Sony T700 Cyber-shot

Yes yes it was all for the color but it's a color TO DIE FOR, literally! I just couldn't resist it. And the specs weren't bad either!

1. LCD touch screen 3.5".
2. 10.1 Megapixel camera with 4x optical zoom.
3. Video recording.
4. 4 GB internal memory and tested to hold up to 16 GB in memory card.
5. Face detector \ self timer \ various recording modes.

This picture was taken using this camera so it's a top quality capture.
The only thumb down however is the display menu. The commands are kinda blurry and not crystal clear as you see in the iPod touch for example, which it irritating, but it can be dealt with.

How I almost got fired

To make long story short, i offended a minister
But it wasn't my fault!

I'm really having the urge to write down the full story but I'm afraid i might get fired for not keeping my mouth shut! Getting fired up in my place is a piece of cake nowadays!

Anyhow, it goes like this:
His courier came in, wanted an account application, i refused to give it to him assuming it was for a lame *** lazy government worker who won't leave his comfy chair. He then came asking me to call him, i replied well that's why we have customer service dear, haven't we? let him dial the number . The CEO got pissed, the board chairmen demanded explanation. My manager justified the situation as i didn't know it was the minister himself and because the courier didn't disclose his name or even his position which further made the matter worse. She then went up to him and solved the issue. The case is solved now thankfully and he is happy.

Ok first of all, shouldn't the minister at least provide a formal and sufficient letter to hand it over? this is how most high profile customers do when they can't come themselves, just to avoid the confusion.

Second, I assumed it was for a regular customer because it happened alot. People apparently forgot that banks abide by standard procedures and therefore think it's Souq Alyem3a where they can send their tea boys to inquire about their cards and loans. Seriously, how disrespectful!

That's why I'm in an utter state of hate right now. I literally hate my place because i have to sugar coat everything for those private customers. So what he's the son of so and so or the manager of this and that? we're all people who are gonna be buried in the same ground evantually, where would their money or position lead them to then!

Aggh, i can't wait for my transfer *fingers crossed*
