The last time I posted was on September 11th I think. Well I will give you a brief update then. I am still dating Alan, yeah. He is my best friend, and we have a lot of fun together, I'm very lucky. My little sister got engaged, hooray! I really like Davey, he is good people for sure. Let's see, that leaves me as the only unmarried sibling in my family... cool, I feel special.
School is going well, term one just ended, and I am loving my class. They were very cute on my birthday on Friday. That is right, I just turned 30, YIKES!
I had a great birthday though. I went and ate with my family at Tai Gardens. Alan and I had soup and salad, it was good. Emily, Brandon, Mom, and Dad came to my dinner. We are celebrating it on Sunday though! I really love my family and I appreciate everything that they have done for me in the past few weeks.
I will post pictures as soon as I get my camera back. I left it in my managers car, and I no longer work for Mikado anymore. After 8 years of working in Sushi, I no longer do. Time to move on, and focus on just being a teacher... I want to work towards bigger and better things. I will have my masters in July, and in the next few years, hopefully my own little family!
Life is good, and I am happy to be me.
P.S. I am still sober.

I'm in love....for reals!
In July, I know not that long ago, I met someone I hope to spend a very very long time with. He is a blessing in my life and has changed my outlook on so many things I don't know where to start. His name is Alan, and I love him. I could update you for hours, but I won't. Instead I will just update you on our latest adventures. First here are some pics of my man.. Meet Alan...
Alan is so great. Last night, for example, I had to put my stupid IKEA loft bed together. I highly recommend NOT buying anything from IKEA. Anyhow, he put it together with my funny neighber Ernie... It was quite entertaining to watch. Anyhow, we were short some screws and Alan went to buy them and put the bed together. Earlier that day he picked up a couch from my parents house and brought it to me. He is so great! I appreciate every second I spend with him. More on him later!

It's that time of year again....
Only three more days of school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could not be more excited! As the year starts to wind down I have been reflecting on my students and how this year went. Overall I am happy with my first year in 3rd grade. It was overwhelming at first, but as I get ready to say farewell to my students I am sad. I have really grown attached to the little ones. We have had some good days and some bad days and we have learned a lot.
Things I will miss:
1. Mitchell's Stories, which go on and on and on...
2. Students accidentally calling me Mom instead of Ms. Cain
3. JaLynn's sweet smile
4. Jacob's neat handwriting
5. Brady's innocent look when he is naughty
6. Carter telling me, "thank you for teaching us everyday!"
Things I will NOT miss:
1. Tattle Telling
2. 100 degrees in my classroom
3. Commuting 40 minutes everyday to work
4. Constant talking
5. Damon and Jayden (I love em, but they are tough)
6. Faculty meetings at 7:30
7. Teachers asking me about my love life.
8. Arik farting to get a rise out of the class
9. Messy tote trays
10. Boogers
11. Being evaluated
12. Feeling like I have diarreah, but can't leave my kids alone (not fun)
13. Field trips
Apparently my NOT miss list goes on and on. Hopefully by the end of summer these things will leave my memory and I will be excited to meet my new class! Heres to a good summer! See you next year 3rd graders!

MIckey Rose you say?
Okay, I've decided to update my blog because I'm bored. I'm still at school and I have to be here for another hour.
Some funny things that happened today:
1.
Heaven: Ms. Cain these are for you!
Ms. Cain: Wow what pretty flowers Heaven, thank you!
Heaven: Yeah the school just grows them for free!
Ms. Cain: Great Heaven I will let everyone else know, including the principal!
This is Heaven:

2.
Mitchell described the last 12 levels of some crazy dragon slaying video, in detail, I'm not kidding, he had to go get a drink in the middle of it because he got thirsty. Here is a picture of him :)

3.
Damon claimed he was sick because of the H1N1 crap... He said that because he was a mexican his dad said he should stay home... There is a reason this kid was held back in 1st grade.. hmmm??
This is Damon: He is the one in the striped shirt probably not doing what he is supposed to???

4.
I let my students each ask me one question from the game trivia pursuit. I got everyone wrong except the last one, which was: What's the most popular jumping-off point for suicide attempts in France? Answer-- The Eiffel Tower
I got this right after Itgel said, "Hey Ms. Cain this ones an easy one, it's so obvious!" Does he know what suicide means?
This is Itgel: What does he know, "Dictionary Reader!"

So those were my Friday adventures... I really do love how innocent and hilarious my kids are, although I can already spot who is going to be the cool kids, the skaters, the goody goodies, the brats, the jocks, the emo's, and so on. It's fun to guess.
Okay, so what is new in my life, a lot, and part of which I wish not to discuss. However I will discuss the hot new boy in my life... well kind of in my life, if you call living in California on a military base and talking to me on the phone daily, "in my life." Hey if that's all I can get I'll take it because Mickey Rose is amazing, and I think I'm lucky to have met such a rad guy!
We met while I was in San Diego with The Abbster..(see below)... anyway, I met Mickey, and instantly took a liking to him! He is an amazing runner, has a great spirit and the most positive attitude ever. He is a marine, and the haircut is adorable on him, so is the uniform... We have a lot in common, and I don't think I've ever smiled this much in my life. Really you can't wipe the smile off my face when he is on the phone. I get butterfly's when he calls... this is the best way to date, everything stays new, but I could never get sick of his voice... Okay I'm getting sappy. Here are some cute pics of him....
Mickey Rose... I don't know why one of these is purple.. camera phone.. figures.

Until next time.... I'm going to go play in the wonderful mountains of Utah!
P.S. Four more weeks until summer...

Brighton's Last Day...
I went up to Brighton on the last day of it being open to join in the celebration! I didn't ride or anything but just chilled with my good friend Nicole and my friend Bryan. It was fun. People were playing volleyball in their bikini's and speed-o's. It was hilarious and a ton of fun. I stayed for about an hour! Good times!

This is Nicole and I chill-laxin.

Bryan drinking his rootbeer concoction! Hmmmm.
And the snow volleyball... So entertaining!

San Diego with the Sloans..... Trouble.
Wow, I have to tell you how much fun I had with Abbie this last week. We had many adventures and good times. Plus I met some really rad people! We ate out pretty much every meal, which was good, but pricey. One night we went to John's resturaunt and he made us so much incredible food! John is Abbie's husband and he is an amazing chef. Abbie had her birthday one of the days I was there so she picked what we did all day. First we went to an early morning yoga class. It was amazing, and hot. Seriously it was hot yoga, like 100 degrees. I sweat out a few gallons I swear. The class was amazing and now I am addicted. I've done yoga almost everyday since I came back home. It has cured me of my anxiety.
Abbie decided to take me surfing and for some odd reason she thought that I would be good at it. She was wrong. It was actually quite miserable. I've never drank so much salt water in my life. I was able to ride in a few times on my tummy, but I never got up on the board. I looked so lame. But I'm glad that I tried it, and maybe one day I will try again. For now I think I will stick to snow sports. That night we celebrated Abbie's birthday at John's work again. They hooked it up. We had such a good time. Two bottles of wine, and a bottle of Sake later, we were satisfied. We ate some of the best sushi. Later that night we just went home and one of John's friends came over, Todd, he was very nice. We all just chilled, it was fun.
The last night that I was in town Abbie, John, and I decided to cook dinner and stay home. We cooked fish, and made a huge salad. John made a yummy appetizer, and Abbie made an awesome salad. I drank wine and watched. It was fun. We ate dinner and chilled out for a bit, then Abbie and decided we needed to go out and go dancing. So we drove downtown and hit some of the clubs. We went to this one club, it was hilarious, we were the only white people there. Until we saw some hot marines hanging out. It was one of the best last nights I have ever had.
Time to head home. My flight was in the late afternoon. Abbie and I watched Day of Our Life re-runs(we did that a lot actually), it was a vacation and I just wanted to relax. We put a blanket out on the lawn and layed in the sun. Then I had to go home. I didn't want to leave, it was an incredible trip and I can't wait to go back.
Here are some pics of my trip!

Disney Land and Sea World... Yes Please!
I just have to brag about the fabulous time I had in Disney Land and Sea World with my family. We had such a good time! I went with my mother and father, Emily and her Fiance Brandon, Libby and Brad, Aly and myself. It was so fun to be with all adults and to just spend time with my family. My sister Emily was finally proposed to on the steps of the Newport temple.. Congrats! Here are a few photos and videos of our awesome experience!
This is Aly and I in front of Club 33. I don't know if any of you have every noticed this secret club, but here is the door. It is tough to get a reservation, but once you do the experience is amazing. So I hear. I'm the only one in my family that hasn't been yet!
Oh the A Team.. I'm so happy to spend time with this one!
Emily insisted on visiting the Manatee exhibit. They were very cute.. this one gave all four sisters a little ride. Thanks for hoisting us up there Brad!
We always have to visit the Bugs... good thing we had on our special Bug Life glasses.
Here we are waiting in line for Space Mountain. We were so cold because we had just been on Splash Mountain. We always thought we would be the one family to walk off the ride dry... never happened. Oh the wet jeans and chaffing... ugh.

My trip to Erie....
Well I just got home last week from visiting my brother and favorite sister in law! I went with my parents and two sisters Emily and Libby. We were able to see the new addition to their family, little baby Faye Suite Cain! She is absolutely perfect and I love her. I can't not mention Miles too. He is so big now and talks like crazy. He always is happy to see you! "Hi Annie!" He is such a busy body, always on the go! Faye was just as sweet as can be. I with that Dave and Cicely lived out here. It was so fun to see where they lived and how they were doing. We mostly played a lot of games and held the baby. It was hard to be away from my students for so long, but they seemed okay when I got back home. All together I had such a good time! I am so proud of my brother for getting his white coat at school. I know he will be an amazing doctor!
