hellooooooooo..... from jakarta!! =)

yes yes, my very first business trip, and it's to jakarta..and i travelled alone.. exciting stuff!! but also a bit scary. being alone is scary for me. i dont like alone. but it's a chance to be independent. i guess being alone is better than being in bad company right? so anyway, my whole family is worried.

but i think good planning is important. thankfully, the hotel has a airport pick up service so i sort of had a cab waiting when i arrived in jkt. the air pollution is not that bad. not compared to shanghai anyway. but traffic is quite horrendous. cars and motor bikes everywhere! thankfully i've not yet been caught in a sever jam. *keeping fingers crossed here*

i couldn get a room where the event was, so had to book a room at a hotel across the street. from 5* to 4*? 3* more like...where im staying, the lobby looks great, but the room is only so-so. there's a musky smell when u enter. and the toilet is dingy small. but the bed is HUGE and the tv has cable!! lots of channels to keep me entertained! whee! and so i got to watch the amazing race finale last night. *grinz*

a study trip is so fun actually. nothing much to do, just observe and observe, and take lots of pictures. the not so fun part would be writing the report when i get back. but hey, 3 days of fun here is worth a bit of report-writing pain right? =)

so anyway, cos the hotel is in such an "atas" district, the malls have all the atas brands...no money to buy lar...how to shop?? but there's like dunkin donuts and krispy kreme everywhere!! haha...shall i buy some back??

shall contemplate as i got for my seafood dinner...FREE DINNER!! whee!! =)
