after watching so many korean dramas...ive been (once again) hooked on this new one called "9 ends 2 outs".

it's a story abt a girl and guy who have been best friends since young...they lean on each other, complain to each other, help and support each other thru the years...they are a part of a larger grp of friends who have gone through growing up, failed relationships, through careers, through good times and bad...

i find it a very realistic story, cos it isn like the cliche korean dramas where 4 main leads get entangled in a love relationship...with the 2 sub leads getting dumped...in this show, there are many parties going in and out of the lives of the 2 main characters...it's more real to know that they lead their own lives, have other friends and colleagues and such...

what i like most abt this show is that it explores the lifelong friendship between a girl and a guy. can it truly be platonic when u're this close and know each other's temperaments and habits so well? when u care so much for the other party that u are happy when he/she is, and u hurt when he/she does?

i find it difficult to, even among close friends of the same gender. and i think if such a friendship exists between a guy and girl, then it really ought to be treasured even more. some cynical part of me feels that it cannot be real. wouldnt it be hard to draw the line between friendship and love for the other? when u feel so much for someone, it would turn into something more than just friends.

i wish i could share such a bond like the one shared bwtn the characters in the show. but deep down, i know it is not possible.
