Fondue

For Valentines Day I had decided the make a cheese fondue for dinner and a chocolate fondue for dessert. Growing up my friends "the sin sisters" and I would often have fondue parties which were a lot of fun, so I thought it would be fun to do with my kids. Well, we ended up going out to dinner with my sisters family on Valentines Day which was great because the next day I tried the fondue. The cheese fondue was a flop. Drake and Isabella both gaged on it and Emme and Grant wouldn't even try it. Theron ate some, but I could tell it wasn't his idea of a good dinner. I liked it, but in the end everyone but myself had pizza. The chocolate fondue on the other hand was a hit and they loved it. So I guess for awhile the only fondue in my house will be chocolate....which is fine with me!

My Little Artist

Grant is always quietly arranging toys, food, or whatever items are around at the time into interesting designs. When I am making dinner he usually goes for the measuring cups and spoons and a few items from the pantry. I know these items look scattered, but not to him. He carefully puts them in just the right spot and re-arranges them if they are not. Hopefully this is a sign of creativity and not of some mental illness..ha, ha.

Valentines Party

My cute friends Ruth and Kim decided to have a Valentines party for the little ones. The kids had a lot of fun doing crafts and eating jello with whipped cream and sprinkles on it. Fun times!

Backyard Hole

Last summer we had our sprinkling system and hydro-seed put in. The man that put it in told us he could dig a hole for our trampoline "for free" so that we could sink it. We were excited because other companies were going to charge us around $1600 to do it. We'll he turned out to be a real loser and dug it way too big and wouldn't come back to help us fix it because he did it "for free". Anyway, Theron never got around to fixing it last summer, but it has apparently become a good sledding shoot. And by the way those aren't our goats in the background, they're our neighbors...yes, I live in the boonies...but actually in our neighborhood you can't have farm animals, but we back up to one that does...not that I'm against farm animals...just their smell.

The Shoe Boy

Grant is such a funny boy...lately everytime I see him wandering around the house he's got a new pair of shoes on! It's too funny... here are just a few shots of his favorite ones.

Theron's Debeut

Yes...it's come to that....Theron is going to make a t.v. commercial. I honestly don't know whats gotten into him, but he insists that it's a good deal. So in a few weeks he will be taping it and I'll let you know how it goes! His slogan right now on all of his business cards is "Personal Attention to your Specific Needs" which I like, but if anyone has any other ideas for a catchy cheesy commercial leave them in the comment section. I really am proud of how far Theron has come in only three years...he is quite the "go-getter"...I just kind of laugh at the thought of seeing him in a serious commercial add...because he is such a jokester.
