Ok, I really have to hand it in to those Japanese. These are like cute with a capital C! And what have we here in Singapour? Elves and fairies and horses and such like. Same old, same old.
In less than 12 hours I will be free from the slimy tentacles of examinations. My DS Lite (well, the more addictive games that I've stopped myself from playing during the exam period, anyway), Youtube, and all manner of pleasurable and stardust-y things in life await with open arms. I have only this to say: WHOOOOOOOOOPeedoo!
So much to do, so little time. 1 month is hardly enough. But yes ok I can see all my dear working pals eyeballing me already. =D
Will be in HK from 5 to 8 December (next Tuesday onwards). Dun miss me eh! Yes, yes, okay I will try to bring something back.
All this while I'd been searching for love, and all along it was right there in front of me, in its various forms and guises. And I'm not just talking about my fantastique friends ;).
2 nights ago, I had a chat under the stars with my youngest brother Ev (ok there weren't stars 'cos it was going to rain, but still). I'd always wanted to have a chat with a loved one just like that, sitting on one of the benches downstairs. I always thought our downstairs has a really nice environment for having a chat at night, with the gentle breeze and all the stars in the world spread out in that vast expanse of inky black sky above you. I never expected to have my first one with Ev, though. Haha. He wanted to take his bike out for a spin, and asked me to come along and "enjoy the night breeze". After a while, we ended up chatting.
I always feel very sentimental when I'm alone with Ev. I would think about how I used to bully him all the time in the past, while here he is now, my very sweet brother, walking beside me and emptying the contents of his heart to me. Yes, we've come a long way. But at least we're making up for lost time now. Needless to say, I enjoyed the chat a lot. We talked about everything under the winking stars.
That night with him made me discover what a wonderful family (that means extended family too, Ro ;)!) I really have and how lucky I am. I realised that what they say is true: your family are the ones who'll always be waiting whenever you deign to look behind you. Waiting, with open arms.
