I'm here again to entertain/bore you with my insane ramblings! =D
Shall start off with some photos I took during my glam new year cookie-selling job...by the way, special thanks to Isabel, Jia Ying, Grace and Wen Fang for visiting during the job! You all really helped us while away the hours by being there. =)

Pretty pumpkin seeds! The pink one's rose flavoured, and the green ones are green tea flavoured. They taste great too! I have a bag of each sitting at home, though I haven't had a chance to eat them yet cos I'm still trying to er...dispel the heatiness acquired from gorging on the new year cookie samples and the bak kwa and all consumed during CNY. Ehehe...think they'll be gone soon though. Anyway! Moving on....

Never, ever get on the bad side of Xy. This is what she did to Fiona Xie's picture on the cover of Seventeen. Ok, yes, we were that bored.
Ok, I believe a mini-reflection on this 14-day, 12 hrs a day job is in order.
Yes, there are worse jobs and I really shouldn't complain (and I'm not really complaining), but you would agree that money is not easy to earn. It's not easy for anyone to be cooped up in a small 2 metre by 2 metre space for 12 hours everyday. It's not easy for anyone to be cooped up with sarcastic, clueless-about-selling, *insert tumbling list of my bad points here* me for 12 hours everyday. Even though we are really good friends. I think Xy deserves a round of applause for putting up with me for a total of almost 168 hours. I'd like to apologise for my almost-constant suaning, my cluelessness about selling (I tried to improve by copying Xy. Hahahaha I think it worked. After all, she is more experienced than me in this.). I'm really glad that we didn't quarrel (well, just the one) or end up bursting into tears (well, just the one). Xy, I think we should congratulate ourselves for surviving this. It could easily have ended in tears and broken friendships. But it didn't. In fact, unless I'm very much mistaken, I do believe we've come out even stronger. I really enjoyed your company during these 14 days. Hahaha *hugs*. =D Yay for us!
While Xy melts in a pool of embarrassment at my public declaration of love, I shall move on to the next topic.

The new year cookie-selling job ended on 16 Feb, one day before chu2 xi1 (CNY eve). So on chu2 xi1 I had to rush to spring-clean my room. This is the result! Ok la it could be neater but I still feel a sense of accomplishment cos there's now much more space (I threw away a lot of rubbish). Also, it's still *almost* as neat now. Yay!

Cousin Ro in her very HOT and low-cut pink top and me looking rather *insert comment here* on the first day of CNY.
Hmm...another CNY has come and (almost) passed. I always treat the passing of each year with a hefty amount of bemusedness. At the start of every year, I would smile bemusedly to myself as I write the date. I don't know why, but somehow I would always treat writing the new year in the date as sort of a temporary arrangement. Maybe it's to help myself deal with the passing of time...I would have this notion that it would only be 2007 for a while. I guess it's to lie to myself until I get used to writing 2007...and then I would have to get used to writing 2008. Weird, aren't I? I should stop having this mindset towards the passing of time, though. I should start taking it more seriously. After all, I'm going to be 20 soon...it's about time I broke out of the mentality that I would be young forever and live forever.
Right! Onwards...
Kim Choo's BirthdayLast Saturday, Bee and I got together to celebrate Kim Choo (Bee's best friend during sec sch)'s birthday. Bee was in charge of buying the present, while I was in charge of booking the K box room and buying the cake. We met at Orchard Cineleisure, and went to Heeren for lunch. Then we rushed back to Cine's K Box as we were late for the reservation I'd made for 2 pm. The singing began. After some time, Bee dragged K.C to the toilet so that I could write in the card. When she came back, we got out the cake (one slice of chocolate creme and a slice of tiramisu) and the present. As we didn't have any candles, we decided to skip the birthday song part, but K.C suggested that we sing Wen Lan's "Sheng Ri Kuai Le" (Happy Birthday) for her instead of the conventional birthday song. Haha...I think only this crazy girl would want her friends to sing a sad love song for her instead of the normal birthday song ba. Lol.
After that, we continued singing happily. The staff let us stay until almost 8! So happy...very long never stay at K Box for so long already. In recent years, they've gotten more stingy, only letting customers stay for 3 or 4 hours, especially those who take the student price package.
Upon leaving K Box, we proceeded to shop around until my parents called me to tell me that they were nearby and did I want a ride home. A perfect end to a wonderful day. So Bee and I went to meet my parents and Everett (Bee was sleeping over at my place).
When we reached home, we had a great time watching Mean Girls and a few episodes of the quite-long-ago idol drama starring S.H.E - Reaching for the Stars. Slept at 3 plus a.m., woke up at about 1.30 p.m.. Watched The Covenant while having brunch (the male lead is hot hot hot! =p), watched more episodes of Reaching for the Stars. Sadly, Bee had to rush home for some familial obligation and so we had to stop in the evening. I ended our simple but fun sleepover by sending her to the bus stop. =)
Haha, sorry for the lack of photos for this part. I haven't received them yet.
Flora's BirthdayHaha. My past week has been really really eventful. Celebrated Flora's 20th on Monday...met up with Jesslin and Becky at 5 pm to buy the present. We walked around for a while as I'd forgotten where the shop containing the present was. Not my fault! Far East really resembles a maze with repetitive shops. Haha. Eventually, however, we found it, bought the present, and proceeded to the Fish & Co. at Wheelock Place to have dinner. Jia Ying and Flora joined us shortly after. JY, Jesslin and I had New York Fish and Chips (fish and chips with cheese stuffing. Not bad, though they tend to clump the cheese together and that makes it really salty.), Becks had the normal fish and chips, and Flora had Caesar Salad -_-. Haha oh well it's her birthday, so we let her have her boring and healthy salad.
After dinner, it was time for the highlight of the day: (you can go away now, bro) pubbing at Bar None. We bitched and gossiped and exchanged scandalous information over a round of drinks. Ah...zis is the life. Really enjoyed talking with my favourite classmates. =D

Happy Birthday, dear Flora. Hope you enjoyed the simple but filled with love and sincerity celebration =) .
Ok, final news flash. Xy accompanied me to her driving school today to register (thank you Xy)! I'm taking my basic theory test on 2nd May. Wish me good luck everybody! Yay, I am finally on my way to becoming a driver! =) =) =)
End of very long blog post. Thank you and good bye.
