The class has given me a wonderful new nickname-Mother May. It is because I keep making fun of my classmates, asking them to observe the SP CORE values. They claim that I preach. I hate the name. Thus I have made up names for some of my classmates. Sarah (class rep) will be Sister Sarah from now on. MUHAHHAHAHHA!
 
Oh. my. god. Derrick had the tickets to BOTH the hard rock cafe gig AND the NTU concert (F.I.R)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said his friend's relative is the CEO's secretary and so his friend gave him the tix. Why the hell have I been ignoring him? Why??!! Let this be a lesson to me. I should stop 1. Ignoring him and 2. Talking to him only when he has nice things to offer me. I feel so bad. I don't deserve to be called Mother May!
 
I talked to my classmate Timothy during lunch today (no.2 good looking guy in our class). We have quite a few things in common. He gave up piano before too, in Primary 3. He likes to write fantasy, just like me. Haha...he thinks I am very sarcastic and he finds my sarcasm funny. Jason (classmate), on the other hand, totally does not get it when I am being sarcastic. I think there is a minor communication barrier between us.

Sunday
I went to the F.I.R autograph session. It was TOTALLY EXHILARATING! It was as squeezy, if not more, as ENERGY's. I honestly thought I was going to fall over a few times. They didn't really organise us much. There weren't those gate/maze thingys for us to walk around to get to the stage, and the opening to the stair leading to the stage was to the right. Luckily, me and JY were standing somewhere there. But UNfortunately everyone started squeezing to the right. There were quite a few boys and I heard that they were the ones doing the squeezing. There was a kid near me and these two girls and I decided to let her go first as she was crying and looking very scared.

F.I.R was late by about 45 mins, so they arrived at about 8.45pm. They were late because they had to grab a bite after their Hard Rock Cafe gig at 4 pm. They performed "Lydia" and "Fly Away" (which just hit no.1 on the YES 93.3 FM charts at 2 pm). They were supposed to perform "Ni De Wei Xiao" too but couldn't because of time constraints. The fans booed. When 'interviewed', F.I.R said that someone had told them that Singaporean fans were more quiet and reserved, but we weren't what they'd expected at all! They said we're very warm and kept thanking us.

I felt very very relieved when I finally got out of the crowd and in front of the stairs. I felt like a whole weight was lifted off my legs as I didn't have to plant them firmly on the ground anymore so as to keep my balance. I was very excited when I got on the stage. It was so cool! Each one of them shook hands with every fan, and we could talk to them! I didn't know we could take pics using our cameraphones (but JY realised that we could and did! Real even posed for her! I was sooooo envious and sad!)

Ian was very sincere and humble. I'd wanted to say something to him, but was tongue-tied. Faye's handshake was very warm (literally!). I almost thought she had a fever or something. I could still feel her warm handshake after that. Hee hee! She was rather nervous too (during the performance). I could see the nervousness in her smiles. She's really thin and petite and pretty. I thought she looked just a BIT like Ayumi. Real is more handsome in the flesh, but I still think Ian looks more "man" . Real was very smiley and many fans screamed for him. I can't remember much about his handshake as I was too shocked/touched by Faye's. All of them said "Thank you" to me and I said "Thank YOU" back to Faye and Real. It was all I could manage in my tongue-tied state, I was sooooo nervous and excited! I was absolutely ecstatic when I got off the stage.

Real and Ian are very "passionate" about their music. They really swayed and rocked about when they played their instruments! They really performed "live" (with instruments!)!

The DJ asked Ian and Real about how they felt about Faye. But first, the DJ said she and Faye had the same horoscope, and pple of that horoscope are very neat (at this point Ian laughed and said no!). Faye said she wasn't really neat 'cos she tends to litter after using tissue paper. Ian said Faye is very talented musically, but in life she's just like a "xiao mei mei" who needs looking after. Faye said "ta mei tian wan shang dou shuo ta zai zhen jiu shi jie" about Real (he says he's saving the world every night) and laughed. Real said that's because he reads a lot of comics and watches a lot of anime cartoons, so he is very sensitive and affected by the stories. So he sorta dreams of them or something. And that's where his inspiration comes from.

At first, there weren't many pple (compared to ENERGY's auto. session). That was at 4 pm. But gradually, pple swarmed in and pple stood on the escalators. It was so bad that they had to stop the escalators for the safety of those people. At about 9.30-9.45 pm when i left West Mall and walked towards Bukit Batok MRT station after having dinner at Burger King (right after I'd got my CD autographed), I saw that people were queueing almost all the way to the MRT station. I met Pei Xi, Gek Theng and Shu Hui in the queue. They saw me first and PX said she almost couldn't recognise me because of my long hair (ditto for Reka and Eileen when I met them recently). Shu Hui wanted my Warner Music sticker as her cd didn't have one (she said she'd bought it overseas). I gave it to her. She squealed and said "Really ah? May is so nice!" When I reached the MRT station I smsed PX (after i couldn't get her or Gek Theng on their hp's) telling them about the situation and to be careful. After I'd got on the MRT and gone a few stops, she called me and told me they'd got their cds autographed ALREADY and she only saw the message after they'd got their autographs. I heard ez-link cards beeping in the background. Maybe they'd got on the bus already.

I suddenly felt very touched while listening to their CD in the MRT. Maybe it was Faye's warm-and-fuzzy handshake, or the touching song lyrics. In fact I was quite surprised that I hadn't got sick of the songs after listening to them for almost 4 straight hours.

I was almost too elated to sleep that night. And I was in a really good and happy mood for most of Monday too. Hehe! I love F.I.R!!!

I'm going to the F.I.R autograph session tomorrow! Dunno what to expect as I have only 1 experience in autograph sessions. Hope they'll sing more songs (if they're gonna sing any). Hope it's not gonna be nearly as crammed as Energy's (squeeze until want to die). Just to be more kiasu, Jia Ying (classmate, member of my gang, only other member besides me without a significant other. I think.) and I decided to meet at 4. 3 long hours of waiting! I hope it is worth it. Oh well, at least I have a companion. Ah! I shall study while waiting since Jia Hui (classmate) pointed out that other classes knew the answers to the questions asked in Marketing lectures. And we don't. Must be more hardworking!

My father is being nice to me recently. That's a nice change (not that he's mean to me usually). I dunno how he found out that I wanted a battery charger (I only told Mum), but he offered to buy me one. We're communicating better and a lot more now. I really hope this lasts and our relationship improves.

Yay! I've finally managed to change my blog layout a bit so that it looks less messy. I think you probably won't notice the change. I'm still trying to work on the Archives and Memories bit. I guess it'll stay this way for a while though as i don't have much of an idea how to improve on those two columns.

We have to do a project on a radio station, tv show, comic or movie produced locally. One of my group members knows the Power 98 deejays so we decided to call in and ask if we could do a project on them. My wonderful friend called in, actually got through the line, AND SHE HUNG UP!!! 'Cos she was expecting a male dj and a female answered. It turned out that there was a CONTEST GOING ON!!! The prize: Panasonic hamper (dunno hamper or hp), 2 tix to 'I, Robot' and 2 Hip Hop CDs. We all wanted to murder her.

Before the project meeting, me and 2 other girls (including the girl who hung up on the dj) went to the toilet. I was finished before them so I went outside to wait. After a while I heard my name being called from inside so I shouted at the door "I'm outside!". I heard laughter, so I thought they'd heard. After a while I went in to ask if they were done yet. They looked shocked when they saw me and quickly walked out of the toilet with me in tow. Then they started laughing madly and told me that they'd talked to someone in a cubicle (who was not me). They'd asked "May why so long?" and the person replied "Pang sai (shit)". One of the girls (they're both malay) said "What pang sai???" And that's when I came in. I'd seen the person who went into 'my' cubicle. It was a lecturer (i think 'cos she was wearing a blue lanyard, which all lecturers wear)! Ha (x10000000000000)

Hmm...went to bugis after sch (dismissed at 12 today) with Sharina and Flora (classmates). Just walked around and 'shopped' (for them). The Sims 2 is so cool! The graphics are so REAL!!! It's coming out in Sept, but i saw the trailer and the webbie.

What would you do if a friend suddenly asked you if you would stand by him/her if he/she did something very bad? How very worrying...

I keep falling asleep during lectures!

Yesterday I went to Orchard to buy a present for JN. At Cineleisure, at the base of the escalator, I met Reka. She almost couldn't recognise me. I dunno why. Then, at PastaMania, I met Jerry (pri sch friend), Jing Si from camp (I happened to be sitting beside her in one of the games and I was so tired that I became super friendly and started chatting with her) , Mindy (pri sch friend). At KFC, I met Belinda (pri sch friend). Outside More Than Words, I saw Eileen (but didn't talk to her as she happened to be having probs with her contacts, so i didn't want to bother her). 6 friends in the space of about 2 hrs!!! That's gotta be some sort of record.

This is my timetable for this semester. Cool, not? Major slacking.

The camp sucked. It might have been ok if it had been at a more civilised place. The bathroom walls were so short that for pple of my height we could see the next person's head(luckily is head only). And it flooded everytime we bathed. And the toilets are all squat one. And there are SO MANY mosquitoes. I only stayed cos there was this good looking guy in my group, and for JN, and I wasn't allowed to go home. He's from another 'school' (Engineering) though. He's got a nice bod too. And he's damn light. Only 46 kg!!! 1.5 cm shorter than me only. Too bad he's not interested in me. He kept talking to this other girl in my group. There was this game in which each group had to dress up 2 members as the opposite sex. Of course, I kena (what's new man...). This guy in my group said I look most like a guy, and the way i stand also like guy. It was quite fun actually. But I dunno how i looked. I want the photos! The other member in my group who was dressed as a girl was, guess what. The good looking guy! I was happy like mad. He had to hold my hand. Down side was, they never announced the winner. But JN said my group would surely have won cos the guy really looked like a cho bu. I made a friend from China.

Enough about that dumb camp though. Hmm...yes. School started alr. I have a better impression of SP and my course now. Our facilitators (seniors from the second year from our course) told us a lot about our course, the school etc. They said the first semester very slack one (for our course). "You spend half the day slacking at home, and the other half slacking at school. It's bloody fun." But (there's always a but) it gets heavier (on Business) after that. Generally, I just feel a lot more comfortable to be in this school and this course.

We only have the facilitators for 3 days (yest last day). Too bad, really. I always grow to like this kind of orientation programme seniors.

I met my class. 20 pple, 13 girls 7 boys. At first I could not imagine myself clicking with anyone of them. But after Flag day yesterday (i collected $28 something) I was laughing and joking with a group of them. There are a few girls which seem to resemble the cast from 'Mean Girls' though. I know that's a bit harsh to say at this pt of time when I don't really know them yet, but they were criticising this emcee (girl) just cos her hair looked like that of a poodle and her english isn't the best. They even called out 'Poodle!' and laughed everytime she made a mistake. That's like so mean. Even though the seniors started it and she seemed to be a hated person.

I bet half the girls in my class (at least) have bf. I already know 2 of them have. And they put make-up. And they're mad about Spiderman 2.
