brief updates....

i kinda miss blogging

it sounds loser-ish to admit this, but i actually bother to read my old posts, in fact i enjoy reading them,

and i laugh at my own jokes *grins*

i think chengwei in her late teens was quite funny *gives herself a little pat on the back* muahahahahaha

(age doesnt make you thicker-skinned, it makes you appreciate youself more :D )

for a while i got too lazy to document every single detail of my life down on the net for public viewing & scrutiny, though deep down i'm still the small, self-absorbed, exhibitioinist little girl *sniffs, dabs corner of her eye with tissue*

now i kinda regretted losing the momentum and drive to blog in the past few years, on nights like this when you feel like reminiscing about the past and feeling sorry for your lost youth, it's kinda difficult to get into the nostalgic mood when all you can recall are fuzzy snippets of random events, esp when you have a short-term memory like me =..=

anyway, to sum up the past 2years after my trip to Vietnam..

first trip to japan with the girls (Sept 09 i think? sweaty hot summer days...)

first solo trip ever, back in hometowan taiwan~ (may 10)

trip with the girls again, second visit to tw within the same year (Nov 10):P
PJ was kicked out of the clique unable to make it for the trip due to 'family commitment' *humph*

but i still love her, we even got engaged...

just kidding. *shudders*
i cant believe i said that. great, now i'm gonna get nightmares (-_-)

Cheng's DIY Tutorial for Bimbos

Warning: bimbo post ahead.

i've always wanted a nail stand i.e. something to hold my fake nails while i paint on them.

for those who're unfortunately born with one good writing hand only (like practically everyone), i'm sure you understand the pain and trauma of painting with your non writing hand

to summarize, shakey lines and blotchy colours

so, i've always wanted a nail stand.



with excessive sleep and over-indulgence in food over the CNY holidays, i was INSPIRED...to do this:

Project Title: Do-Your-Own-Nail-Stand

Materials needed:

1. Cover of a small hard cardboard box

2. Q tips, as many as you like it. (good for digging the ears when the urge strikes while you're working on the nails. serious.)

3. tape (i used those fabric ones, less sticky i suppose)

4. fake nails (cut and shaped to your liking)

5. nail polish / nail stickers
(p.s. the great thing abt fake nails is that you can use lousy and cheap nail polish cos it's going on the fake nails anyway. So you can buy all the colours you want without burning a hole in your pocket~ niceeeee)



Step 1: Cut the sides of the box-cover to create some depressions to hold the Q-tips.

(TIP: Cut out an inverted triangle and push the Q-tip down as hard as possible so it holds firmly)

Step 2: Arrange the Q-tips so that they are spread out, and tape the ends to the box to stabilize them.

Your DIY nail stand should look like this now:



Step 3: Fixing the nails on the Q-tip

Step 4: ehhh...paint it?

i know overdoing the nail stickers is bad taste. but i dont careeeeeeeee

Step 5: Let dry. Hide it somewhere you cant see and touch so you wont accidentally wreck your hardwork.

Optional Step: Rem where you hide your DIY nail stand.

bimbo talks

you know...being a bimbo is not as easy as what it seems...

think of the amount of time you need to spend on your nails, clothes, shoes, bags, hair etc

it really saps your energy

and considering the time i spend on work and therefore on keeping up my looks (1. work = aged appearance 2. work = lower marketability; conclusion = need to be beautiful), where got time for bf?!?! *wailz in despair* it's seriously a vicious cycle that's leading nowhere grrrr

anyway, my weekend was burnt on:


getting a full manicure & pedicure at JP. and no, i din have cramps, i was trying to show how reflective my toenails were

so pardon my contorted toe, it usually looks normal, i promise.


shopping for a new pair of open-toe heels to show off my new pedicure.
everything's perfect abt my new heels, except that it's 4 & 1/2 inches tall and it's virtually suicidal to walk in it


cheng wobbles in dainty steps

and here's the GRAND PLAN:
1. walks to work in flats, carries new heels in a shopping bag
2. changes into new heels at office, refuses to leave her seat for the rest of the day
3. wheels herself to the toilet when the need arises (yes, the chairs in my office come with roller wheels :D)
4. calls delivery for lunch
5. re-schedules all meetings to another day
6. calls & hounds colleagues to drop by her cubicle to admire her new heels
7. changes back into flats at the end of the day. pats herself on the back for surviving the day without meeting/causing any catastrophe

stupid things that girls do for beauty huh?

btw did i mention how cute my niece is?


that's her, a few days old, 3+ kg



that's her now, ard 3 and a half months old, hitting 8kg i believe

kids grow fast dont they :D
