Bear Lake

This was a super fun Bear Lake trip. It was a little cool to begin with, but it was so nice to relax. Kali and Melia and getting pretty cute playing with eachother. I was surprised that they both liked being in the swing together. It looks a little squishy to me. They now have a shaved ice shack and these palm trees to climb. Hailey, Bron and Aubrey had fun climbing while the older kids were out riding their motorcycles. These three played great together.

Bron climbing the coconut tree. Playing in the freezing cold water at Bear Lake.

Bron wanted to see under the water with his goggles, but didn't want to get his whole body in because it was cold.

With all the water we have gotten this spring, the lake has risen quite high. This means that the only beach we could find was about 10 x 4 foot section. The rest is swampy and weedy.

Because the water was so cold we thought it would be fun to bring up the dirt bikes instead of Ben's boat. Yeah . . . Matt broke his arm. This picture does not do the break justice. It looked really gross. He broke both of the bones. He was such a trooper. We had to drive to Logan because they thought he might need surgery. Luckily he didn't, but he now has a cast all the way up to his shoulder. He is currently at Scout camp at Bear Lake. I just got word that he passed the swimming test - with a non-waterproof cast up to his shoulder. I guess that is what happens when men are in charge.

When we moved we brought our bball hoop. It has been laying in our much smaller garage taking up tons of room. We are finally getting it put in the ground. Loren and the boys had to dig a four foot deep hole to anchor the hoop. Loren would hold one of the boys upside down in the hole while they filled up a big cup with dirt. The hole was too narrow to fit a shovel into. This is a picture after the hole is dug of Kali in it. It is now filled up with cement, waiting for a day when we can get three of Loren's brothers over to hook the hoop up. I took Kalia to the temple to take some pictures this spring while the tulips were out. She looked super cute, but everytime I would try to take a picture she would yell CHEESE and scruntch up her nose and eyes. Needless to say, I didn't really get the pictures that I wanted, but it was fun.

This is the face that Kali pulls all the time.

We went to the park in Layton to feed the birds a few weeks ago. The kids loved it.

I am not sure what made Bron want to get in this stroller with Kali, but I thought it was funny. His legs are all squished up. Mike drove them around on the street hooked to his bike.

Just some catch up and cute pictures

I thought this was sweet. I know you can't really anthing, but Bron just sat with Kali at that table for the longest time. They were talking and laughing. I was trying to take a picture through the window and I could never really get a very good angle. Most of the time Bron is so sweet to Kali. She adores him! Yeah! Kali's hair is long enough that I can start to do some of the fun hair that I have seen on my preschoolers. I thought this was pretty cute!

Half way though the school year I started having Kali come to preschool for two days each week. She wasn't really a disturbance, but she is just funny. She would just do her own thing. We were in the middle of a lesson when she left the room. When I found her, she had gotten her sunglasses on, climbed on the counter and was trying to brush her teeth. This next year I am sending her to a preschool that one of my friends teach. I'm sure it will be good for her to not have free-reign of her house during preschool. It was hard for her to understand - at the age of 2 - that she was supposed to stay in preschool during preschool. However, Kali does know all of her letters and the letter sounds. Pretty crazy for two.

Bronson was in a little play with his 1st grade class. It was really cute. He was a crocodile. He made his mask with his 1st grade buddy.

Easter

We had fun with our eggs this year. I thought this was a darling easter egg kit. This year the Easter Bunny did a string maze through the house. When we came home from church we found our stuff.

Thanksgiving Craft

Today at preschool we made this fun craft. We used beans and split peas. They have been glued into an old CD holder that I had. This is mine, of course the preschooler's were a bit messier. I thought the project was really fun and am going to take the supplies to Thanksgiving dinner. I thought the kids and the teenager's would have fun making the craft. I am Art Mom in Mike's 5th grade class. I only go in once a week. We have done some fun projects. I will post them. This one of the ideas that I found on minimatisse.blogspot.com/2010/06/reuse.html

More Updates

Matt made it onto his Jr. High Basketball team. I was pretty excited about his first day wearing his Sunday clothes to school. He just sort of rolls his eyes and smiles at me. The games have been fun to watch. I can't believe he is getting so big.

I love this picture of Matt and Kali.

Mike's football team took first place in the playoffs.

Mike is a great kids with tons of enthusiam! His teachers love him, his coaches love him and his family loves him.

Bronson is in another play. He is going to be Tiny Tim in Roger's Memorial Theater's performance of A Christmas Carol. This will be the last play at the old theatre. Then they will become Legacy Pointe Theatre. Bron performs on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and then on the Saturday Matinees.

I thought this was a funny picture of Bron. However, this has been his attitude lately. (someone help me!!)

Kristy had her baby yesterday. We went to the hospital to visit. Kali loved the baby. She is a doll - just perfect.

Fall Leaves

Our new house has lots of trees. We have never needed to rake up leaves before. The kids loved playing in them. By the third or fourth day of needing to rake up leaves they were not quite as enthusiastic.
