Week 10

* The time had finally come for us to get the final things ready for baby. We got the car seat in  the car and moved Katelynn into the backseat (which she is really loving, and so am I since Katelynn and Mark can't touch each other now). I brought in the pack-n-play to our room and found some more toys and things we need for baby, now we just need a baby!

* Katelynn and Mark have always loved playing in the backyard, today I was taking some pictures and Mark was ever so stoic and Katelynn was the playful one.

* We went over to Grandma’s house on Saturday and had some fun chatting and playing outside. We had some spaghetti for lunch and the kids were so excited to have noodles that you would think I have never fed them noodles before.

Week 9

* My feet are gone, they probably have been missing for a few weeks but I didn't realize it until I took this picture. He is getting bigger and bigger.

*We finally got an hour set aside to put together the toy box shelf for Mark’s room. Mark was intently watching Toy Story until he heard the drill. Once he heard that he was right in the middle of helping get it put together. Mark’s room looks so much more organized. I love it.

*I made a carrot cake on Sunday for the first time in many years and it turned out great. Katelynn and Mark helped and so if we are making any sort of cake it has to have sprinkles on it and Katelynn wanted to put candles too, but we didn't since it wasn't anyone’s birthday.
Here's the recipe if you want to try it out.  I did change it to 1 cup sugar and 1 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup oil and 1/2 cup apple sauce and 1 table spoon vanilla extract. Ben has been raving about it. I am glad that we tried it and agree about it.

* Daddy was talking to Katelynn in bed and telling her about what he saw in his imagination, like Katelynn as a beautiful princess. He told Katelynn to close her eyes and tell him what she saw. She said very matter of factly, “I don’t see anything, all I see is black daddy!” I died laughing when I heard that from the other room.

* 36 weeks has come and gone. My to do list for the week is to get the car seat out of the box and in the car and get our bags packed. He's a coming!

Week 7 and 8

* We made a tripdown to see Caleb and family and Micah and his family. No specific reason to go down other than to hang out and have a change of scenery for the weekend. Ben and Caleb went shooting in the morning and then Heather and I went and did some shopping in the afternoon. We hit up Ikea and I got another toy box shelf for Marks room that I am excited about, now we just need to find some time to get it put together.

* I am definitely getting more and more uncomfortable. I have easy pregnancies, the end is just so hard on anyone's body. I got all of the boy clothes out and washed and sorted so we are ready for him. I have some diapers and all the basics ready for him. Now it is just waiting, and I am hoping he wait for at leastanother two weeks, I am not quite ready for his entry.

* Here I am at 34 weeks

* Having some fun with daddy's pad

* Katelynn went to the dentist this week and she has 3 tiny cavaties that they are going to air blast out tomorrow and fill in. she doesn't have to be numb but I just hope it will be quick for both of our sakes.

* The kids were doing the dishes for me after breakfast.

Week #6

* Poor Marky, now that he has given up his nap he will fall asleep while eating dinner, but if he falls asleep then he has a hard time falling for the night.

* The Swann’s came over for dinner on Friday night which Katelynn was so excited about. She has been asking for weeks to play with Brynne and Tara. Porter and Mark played really well together too.

* Ben has been playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and finally beat the entire game. Mark would ask Ben every once and a while for him to, “Play Mario Daddy?” and while he is playing Mark is a pretty good cheerleader telling Ben “Oh, Good Job!”

Week 5

* Now at 33 weeks. Had another appointment on Tuesday and he is head down so that make me happy. Just waiting about another 6 weeks to meet this little guy and finally pick a name.

* We made it to the temple this week we did sealings this time around and someone came in to be sealed to their parents who were dead. It was pretty amazing to watch that happen for him.

* I finished the baby quilt a week ago but hadn't taken a picture of it yet. I think that it is a fun little quilt. It has the soft minky fabric on the back and sides.

Week 4

* Mark needs to figure out life without a binky. He has pretty much given up his nap which we are all getting used to, but the hard part is his night time sleep is sucking. Waking up a couple times a night and way too early for the day. Hopefully things will work out real quick.

* We went to My Gym with Mark's playgroup and they both had so much fun. they just love to go to places like that.

* Mark had three accidents within 24 hours which left him pretty beat up, He scratch his nose when he and Katelynn were running and he tripped and Katelynn tripped over him. I don't know what happened to his lip and then Katelynn poked him in the eye with a toy. I felt so bad for the poor guy.

* We had some well needed playtime at Grandma's. It is always nice to play there and visit with them.

Week 3

* As I was combing Katelnn’s hair for the day I asked her if she had any good dreams that night. She said no and then proceeded to tell me, “ Mommy I don’t want to have any good dreams or bad dreams tonight. I want just black.” Honey, I know how you feel. I want to have just black too. I have weird dreams that don’t leave me rested when I am pregnant.

* Katelynn gave her first talk in Primary. Daddy helped her, she did a great job and spoke loud enough for everyone to hear, which isn’t really a problem ever. She was very excited about he talk and was telling everyone about it as she was walking to primary.

* Mark broke his last binky this week and so we have been going back and forth as to if he will be napping any more. I still have him go to his room each afternoon and see if he falls asleep. If he doesn't nap he goes to bed for the night within minutes.

* Had my 30 week appointment this week and everything is going fine. Didn't gain any weight but the baby is still growing so it's fine. I am 25 lbs up though. And it makes a huge difference when I take my picture. I try to take it at the same time but it hasn't always worked out.

Week 2

* Back in late 2012 Ben got a bike stolen from our front yard. He rode home from work on his bike, I was at work so he went in the side of the house relieved the babysitter and completely forgot about the bike until I got home hours later. I for some reason do I bike count when I go in the garage, Ben does have four bikes. Anyways, a couple weeks ago Ben got a call from his buddy at bike shop telling him someone brought in his stolen bike to get worked on. The serial num was scratched off but it was his bike. The guy who brought it in bought it from someone else so he is now out a nice chunk of money now.

* Ben was riding the bike in the front yard today and Katelynn was on her bike too. She Yells out to Ben, "Be careful Daddy, you don't want to Jimmy Jack Corn yourself." Yes this is a Benism meaning, don't Daddy don't get hurt. Ben and I couldn't stop laughing.

* We went out to dinner at a pizza place and we don't eat at restaurants too often. Katelynn was so excited to be having pizza for dinner. While we were eating she said a few times, "This is the best dinner ever!" THe pizza was really good.

Week 1

* We went to a trampoline place in town on Monday to celebrate Damien's 15th birthday. I really can't believe that he is 15. Katelynn and Mark had so much fun and since I couldn't jump Mark found a temporary Jumping family. He jumped from the moment we got there till we left. He loved it! I do call him my little jumping bean.

* Everyone loved bouncing with Uncle Mike!

* 29 weeks down ten more to go.

* We went to Maddie's First Birthday Party and Katelynn had a ball. She came home with a wand and crown that she just adores and ended up sleeping with that night.

Happy Birthday Happy Maddie!

* Playing with the bubbles guns. Katelynn made a rainbow.

 * We took a couple quick pics before church this morning and this is my favorite. Yes, Mark has his finger jammed up his nose but that makes it even better!
