Week 10

* The time had finally come for us to get the final things ready for baby. We got the car seat in  the car and moved Katelynn into the backseat (which she is really loving, and so am I since Katelynn and Mark can't touch each other now). I brought in the pack-n-play to our room and found some more toys and things we need for baby, now we just need a baby!

* Katelynn and Mark have always loved playing in the backyard, today I was taking some pictures and Mark was ever so stoic and Katelynn was the playful one.

* We went over to Grandma’s house on Saturday and had some fun chatting and playing outside. We had some spaghetti for lunch and the kids were so excited to have noodles that you would think I have never fed them noodles before.

Week 9

* My feet are gone, they probably have been missing for a few weeks but I didn't realize it until I took this picture. He is getting bigger and bigger.

*We finally got an hour set aside to put together the toy box shelf for Mark’s room. Mark was intently watching Toy Story until he heard the drill. Once he heard that he was right in the middle of helping get it put together. Mark’s room looks so much more organized. I love it.

*I made a carrot cake on Sunday for the first time in many years and it turned out great. Katelynn and Mark helped and so if we are making any sort of cake it has to have sprinkles on it and Katelynn wanted to put candles too, but we didn't since it wasn't anyone’s birthday.
Here's the recipe if you want to try it out.  I did change it to 1 cup sugar and 1 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup oil and 1/2 cup apple sauce and 1 table spoon vanilla extract. Ben has been raving about it. I am glad that we tried it and agree about it.

* Daddy was talking to Katelynn in bed and telling her about what he saw in his imagination, like Katelynn as a beautiful princess. He told Katelynn to close her eyes and tell him what she saw. She said very matter of factly, “I don’t see anything, all I see is black daddy!” I died laughing when I heard that from the other room.

* 36 weeks has come and gone. My to do list for the week is to get the car seat out of the box and in the car and get our bags packed. He's a coming!

Week 7 and 8

* We made a tripdown to see Caleb and family and Micah and his family. No specific reason to go down other than to hang out and have a change of scenery for the weekend. Ben and Caleb went shooting in the morning and then Heather and I went and did some shopping in the afternoon. We hit up Ikea and I got another toy box shelf for Marks room that I am excited about, now we just need to find some time to get it put together.

* I am definitely getting more and more uncomfortable. I have easy pregnancies, the end is just so hard on anyone's body. I got all of the boy clothes out and washed and sorted so we are ready for him. I have some diapers and all the basics ready for him. Now it is just waiting, and I am hoping he wait for at leastanother two weeks, I am not quite ready for his entry.

* Here I am at 34 weeks

* Having some fun with daddy's pad

* Katelynn went to the dentist this week and she has 3 tiny cavaties that they are going to air blast out tomorrow and fill in. she doesn't have to be numb but I just hope it will be quick for both of our sakes.

* The kids were doing the dishes for me after breakfast.

Week #6

* Poor Marky, now that he has given up his nap he will fall asleep while eating dinner, but if he falls asleep then he has a hard time falling for the night.

* The Swann’s came over for dinner on Friday night which Katelynn was so excited about. She has been asking for weeks to play with Brynne and Tara. Porter and Mark played really well together too.

* Ben has been playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and finally beat the entire game. Mark would ask Ben every once and a while for him to, “Play Mario Daddy?” and while he is playing Mark is a pretty good cheerleader telling Ben “Oh, Good Job!”
